Quote from Gashnaw »They should reprint the original 5 decks. I would be happy if they spent a year off planning new decks and instead just reprint the first 5 again. (Of course i may not be saying this if i still had the first 5 and bot sold most of the cards.)
Quote from SlaveToPhage »They already reprinted Mimeoplasm and Kalia. Zedruu would be a small percentage of people to want this (again).
Quote from JWK »I wouldn't be surprised to see Mana Crypt show up in a future Conspiracy or Battlebond sort of set, but I think it would be very problematic to place in a Commander deck, just because a) there aren't very many cards that can be reprinted that would balance the value of a deck with Mana Crypt (Mana Drain is one of the few that leaps immediately to mind), and b) if they don't balance it - and find a way to do it that doesn't become a beacon to Vintage/Legacy/Modern players) - the decks will sell very unevenly and we will have a repeat of the True Name Nemesis fiasco.
Quote from paragonweapon »A lot of the biggest offenders have been listed here (e.g. Bloom Tender and Vedalken Orrery), but the main thing that they should be doing is improving the mana bases. Some examples include:
The temple series from Theros blockThe Ice Age and Apocalypse pain lands. The tango lands from BfZ block. All mana pain lands (City of Brass, Mana Confluence, Tarnished Citadel, Grand Coliseum)Chromatic Lantern.Odyssey block filter lands.
Most of these are relatively inexpensive (prior to reprinting and will certainly be post reprinting, are not in standard) and serve as reasonable mana bases in decks (i.e. the first major step a deck would take when upgrading from the precon mana bases).
