I'm not going to touch on the reprints, since I think it's been pronounced very well already in the thread and I don't really have anything new to offer.
I've mentioned this idea before and reiterating it likely won't change anything (nor do I expect to see it this year), but can I finally have my Commander's Arsenal featuring the newly created cards of the year alongside the decks? While they're at that, revert the foil changes to the regular decks, so effectively all new cards would have their foil and nonfoil counterparts released effectively in the same time. The discrepancy that each new year adds is already compounding and clearly the Judge Foil pace of 1 per year isn't actually doing anything in scale. The previews don't even excite me anymore because I know they can't be foiled and hence I consider them ineligible (other than the Commanders, but that's only a handful of cards that can easily miss in design to what I would want to use). When they previewed Teferi's Protection in 2017 my immediate reaction was "Oh boy can't wait to accquire the judge foil in 2018 or 2019".
Sure, the sealed product definitely doesn't include me in its target demographic (even in the few foils I was interested in i went for singles that my LGS opened up from), but it's still painful to see new great designs I simply have no desire to incorporate because of their nonfoil-only status, making preview season ironically making me more apathetic to the product line instead.
I agree with you on the foil and non foil. i like getting my Commanders altered, but teh foiling makes it tough to alter the card (Paint does not take to it as nicely, and the foil looks horrible against non foil (paint) alter. Thus I am stuck having to suffer with a foil "The Ur-Dragon" instead of an alter like i like.
Oh well, at least I can still have alters of my non-foils.
Every Commander product until 2018 had interesting decks. At the very least, they had interesting alternate commanders.
This was the first year I did not buy any of the decks. I hope it is the only year that happens.
According to The Command Zone, Sol Ring is the most valuable card in the set now. Let that sink in. They are the ones who try really hard to avoid negativity on their podcast, and even they couldn't avoid the truth of how bad the 2018 product is/was.

"Whatever style you wish to play, be it fast and frenzied or slow and tactical, the surest way to defeat your opponent consistently is by dominating him or her in the war of card advantage." - Brian Wiseman, April 1996
I feel on of the reasons C18 failed besides stingy reprints is the themes were just really boring. Nature's Vengeance actually had to lie about lands.dec being about ramping into big creatures because WOTC would never in a million years give it the cards an actual lands.dec would use. Exquisite Invention has already been done twice in this series of precons and better. Subject Reality is slow, boring, and has little in the way of big game winning plays. Adaptive Enchantment was the most interesting one which is why I see 2-3 of these on store shelves as opposed to the floods of the other 3 precons but golly did it suffer from the reprint stinginess.
So yeah, I just hope for decently designed precons with themes that are fun, interesting, and well outlined. Also go back to the days where you didn't mind reprinting things like Wrath of God and Grave Pact if you're gonna mark up the MSRP. You can't make your cake and then not let us have any.

thats just plain untrue. Just off the top of my head, windgrace and yuriko are both worth a few bucks more than sol ring. Although they have lost a lot of value.
Colorless seems like low hanging fruit, but I would like to see the designers attempt something different with it than the usual Karn or Titan builds.
One option is a pre-sparked Ugin. It has been noted by MaRo that this was missing previously so this could be a flavorful choice. It will probably exist eventually anyway.
While the "eat your face" nature of the existing titans are interesting to some people, I feel there is fertile design space in a low-powered legendary Eldrazi (or mutated Eldrazi-human from Innistrad?) with some type of Devoid mechanic or Devoid enabler could be fun. Something like:
"[Name], Scion of the Dying Broods (Mana cost TBD)
Legendary Creature - Eldrazi
2/2
Devoid spells of any color identity may be included in this deck.
You may cast spells with Devoid by paying {C}{C} for any 1 colored mana.
Whenever you cast a spell with Devoid, create a 0/1 Eldrazi drone token with "sacrifice this creature, add {C}""
Or something like that or a combination. I mean, balancing that would be a chore but it's an idea for a direction for colorless that isn't currently explored.

Actually, according to The Command Zone (and supported by TCGPlayer), Sol Ring is the most valuable REPRINT in the set. There are five original cards that are worth more than it (though even those have come down in value a lot).
The reprints were awful. They better step up their game in 2019, especially if they keep the higher price.
This product can eat my a**. WotC said that the price hike would allow them to put some juicy stuff in there, and what we got was garbage. It was like being promised a Ferrari and getting a Tercel. They act like the world will collapse on itself if they put a fetchland in it.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
I'm a simple man. I just want some three colored decks, good reprints (not like last time) and original new card designs (just like last time).
Come on wotc, don't drop the ball again. If you can come up with cool cards like Xantcha, Sleeper Agent, you can also figure out that top of library matters deck should include Sensei's Divining Top rather than Serra Avatar.
Riku of Two Reflections - Copy, then copy again | Shattergang Brothers - Token Sac&Recur | Gahiji, Honored One - Multiple attack steps | Karametra, God of Harvests - Landfall, Creaturefall, Shroud | Ruhan of the Fomori - Stop hitting yourself | Zurgo Helmsmasher - Equipment&Wraths | Crosis, the Purger - Dragon Tribal Reanimator | Derevi, Empyrial Tactician - No stax, just tap and untap fun | Anafenza, the Foremost - Enduring Ideal Enchantress | Sharuum, the Hegemon - Sphinx Tribal Control | Noyan Dar - Spellslinger | The Mimeoplasm - Counterpalooza
Lists can be found here.
Still convinced the guy on Beseech the Queen is wearing a Mitra-type hat. Wake up sheeple!

I mean some valuable reprints are nice but I just hope to get more wanted characters. Feather is long overdue. Guff, Bo-Levar and Serra aren't likely as Planeswalker.
C18 did not do as good easily reprints were incorrect I was furious on the land focused deck especially since the dumbest mistake they made is not reprinting Omnath, Locus of Rage and The Gitrog Monster they knew dang well they were perfect for it not even Ramunap Excavator
And why did they up the price for the decks go back to the 35$
I hope they do way better with the reprint choices in C19 I don’t want commander decks to have the same fate as from the value
Oh and for hope this ticked me off when they mentioned this in the O-Kagachi, Vengeful Kami it was originally gonna be spirit tribal in that for 5 color precon but they went to dragons so I hope they do it for real this time especially since spirits is missing some stuff
By the way more dinosaurs would be great since the dinosaurs still need a repeatable recursion tribal support card we one got a single shoter recursion and they need a few more artifact and enchantment removal probably more enrage dinosaurs so self damage can be a theme
Just glad Maro gave the Dino’s a 3 on the beeble scale
Hopefully, if they do decent reprints they spread the love over the decks instead of just hammering one deck.
Definitely. I still remember feeling ripped off that Daretti got [c]Wurmcoil Engine[c] and the Teferi I bought got...nothing decent I can recall.
edit - checked it out, the money card was Cyclonic Rift or Thran Dynamo. Still, hard to argue with $30 NZD value in a single card.
Not only did Daretti get the Engine, it also got the tokens for the Engine. Plus a lot of other great stuff. I would like to see more of the precons be on the level of good we got from Daretti.
I think you may have misspelled terrifying. Karona is terrifying. It's like 5-color command zone craterhoof.
I'm assuming you're mostly kidding, but I'll take the bait:
-+3/+3 is a far cry from +x/+x
-not trample is a far cry from trample
-needing same type creatures is a far cry from not needing that
-attack triggers are a far cry from Etbs
-dying to any sac outlet or bad attacks on enemy turns is a far cry from not
-getting killed by your own commander is a far cry from not
Two things that I would like to see WOTC redo (since the first decks were lackluster):
1. A lands matter deck (a real one, not the mess we got last year).
2. A monoblue deck (the one from C14, while having some powerful cards, was not particularly functional and was geared to giant blue creatures which isn't blue's strength).
it would have to be out of this world amazing to get me to buy them this time.
i've purchased them every year, all of them. the first 3 years of them saw me purchasing multiples. whatever they do this year, i'll be cherry picking singles . the past at least two haven't been worth it. trashy reprints, decks that aren't cohesive, boring themes, bad commanders... its becoming a hard no

I have found Nesting Dragon to be quite good. It has certainly performed beyond my expectations.

What would be the third commander another version pre spark Karn in colorless?
But yea it will be a matter of time before a colorless commander deck happens
And I feel it’s almost impossible to dodge any new eldrazis of any sort for the colorless deck and I would love it if creatures with devoid can be in this deck as a mechanic.
