My IRL playgroup recently dissolved due to disinterest in the EDH format, but my spirit still yearns for Magic. Would anyone be interested in joining me in making a cockatrice playgroup to fool around on casually? You know, testing decks, exploring new ideas, general EDH activities, etc. Maybe throw our own lil tournaments, things like that. We could put up a Discord server, or google Hangout to socialize, or even Skype if y'all want the face-to-face experience.
Alternatively, if anyone has such a group up and running and doesn't mind a new voice, I'd love to contribute. I've been described as a Spike, and I play to win, but I usually only play decks I can afford, around $100-$150 doll hairs in card value. As it stands, I of course have some top-value decks because Cockatrice says why the hell not, but I personally prefer playing decks I'm about to buy IRL.
If anyone is interested in socializing, hit me up and we can get a lil sumthin sumthin going.
Hi, i also play on cockatrice. I own the mono black deck and green decks i play on there but i like to try out blue and white decks to cause why not. i would love to be part of a regular play group since thats where the fun is.
Hey fantastic! I'm still gathering folks from various forums and friendzones to see what kind of crowd we can gather, but if you wanna pm me your skype or discord contact info, I'll shoot you an invite.
To all who would care to join, please post some times during the week that could work for you and we can figure out some good times during the week to meet. Also, any contributing ideas you have for the group or format are always appreciated.
Looks like I'm a little late to the party, but do you mind if I join your group? I'm going to be moving in a bit and due to where I'm moving (the middle of nowhere) I doubt I'll meeting up with other magic minded people. I'm newer to the game, only having played since probably March or so, but I have a fairly decent grasp on the rules. Right now I'm testing a landfall deck out before I build it IRL. My only other deck I've ever built is a sidisi, brood tyrant, but I have Sydri, Galvanic Genius, and Valduk, Keeper of the Flames decks in the works as well.
I also seem to be late but like to the party but this sounds exactly what I'm looking for. I have two young kids so I only can really play after 7-8pm Eastern Standard Time. I am building a deck IRL but I want to play with all the expensive cards, and this is the best way to do it without going broke.
