This card seems like a lot of potential (if overcosted) fun. Godo, Bandit Warlord infinity aside, what are some cool commanders that really benefit from wearing this helm?
Some first observbations:
Azor, the Lawbringer locks your opponents out from playing sorceries permanently with this.
Any of the Theros block gods for doubling up their effects seems powerfull though you need to get enough devotion to activate them first. (If you think facing 1 Purphoros is bad...)
Arkham, the 1920's. Investigators battle horrors from beyond time and space, risking life and sanity while conspiracies of cultists and malign servitors seek gateways for their outer gods to return...

Krenko, Mob Boss = why yes, I WOULD like to double and double and double and double... Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind = Continually add value to your card draw, making Curiosity even more of a nasty thing. Merieke Ri Berit = token decks won't be a weakness anymore... Oldamog = Sure, you miss on the cast trigger for this and the two following, but we all KNOW annihilator will get insane. Kozilek 1.0 = ^ Newlamog = ^Same as above, but worse because of his new attack trigger Geist of Saint Traft = swing with a handful, cross with an army. Experiment Kraj = I'll take ALL the abilities!
Prime Speaker Zegana - Because you could always use more cards, right? Tishana, Voice of All - Refer to the above. Marton Stromgald - One Marton is easy to deal with in combat as he'll remain a puny 1/1. TWO Marton Stromgalds, on the other hand...

I'll be slotting this right in to Trostani, Selesnya's Voice - maybe to replace Blade of Selves. Getting more and more of her triggers just makes the deck do what it wants faster and faster.

Derevi has proven to be powerful with that card. (One guy in my group is testing it and so far it has worked.
I am gonna slip it into my dragon deck. Being able to use ur-dragon to draw tons of cards and put multiple on the field... along with a bunch of other legendary dragons in the same deck. (Silumgar, the drifting death)
Of my 10 decks Narset, Trostani, Yidris, Breya, and Omnath, really want it. Ur-Dragon probably does but he costs so much and probably is about to end the game anyway but maybe I'll get him a face hat too. Rakdos doesn't not want it but its probably not necessary. Ramos might want it for some of his friends like Atraxa or Marchesa. Gitrog is meh, and K&T are meh too.
Basically every commander can make use of the helm but some will wear it better than others.

Sadly that doesn't work as well as you'd want. Once you get your third Brother, you'll have to sac one of your truly legendary ones. So the first turn you're getting no benefit out of it.

The primordials are another obvious choice, but nothing Fireshrieker doesn't do already: You can use your first Crosis or Darigaaz proc just to gather intel for your second one, or just more than quadruple your saprolings with Rith.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Godo does not go infinite, Aurelia does. (Well I guess good can go infinite but not as powerful as Aurelia. Aurelia can keep attacking, godo can not.
Godo is infinite. Copy attacks, not the equipped original Godo. Opponent blocks the copy, it gets killed. Start new combat, copy attacks. Start new combat, copy attacks. It's only ever one copy that attacks each combat, but it's infinite times.

Even if they have a blocker that can survive the attacks, you should be able to attack some of the other players to get enough attackers to be able to push through lethal in your next turn.
I guess I’m a simple man. I’m throwing this in Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign and hoping for he best. Mowar FoF and even cheaper Sphinx! Really, this could be useful for almost any commander with an ETB ability.
I originally read this at the token getting exiled after combat. Sort of like a Blade of Selves that gets around the Legendary rule. But, the tokens stay around.
That being the case, it is harder to find an EDH deck that does NOT like this. After all, about every EDH deck will be built around your legendary creature to some extent. It’s not always worth it to pay 9, but I much prefer this to the delayed effect on Followed Footsteps or Progenitor Mimic. So the intense mana requirements are offset somewhat by the short-term gains. And, the returns on it continue without any addtl mana invested.
That being the case, my first thought would be toward some decks that have lots of protection for the general, but that aren’t necessarily trying to kill by 21 commander damage. I first thought of Trostani, and populating those tokens. Or, decks where having a token copy would protect or recur the original commander somehow, eg Teneb, Karador, Chainer, etc. Also any Blue deck that can protect a lead with countermagic, or that snowballs the tokens into more cards to protect the position.
Certainly, if this gets onto something and goes unresolved for a few orbits, that’s going to be enough to win the game.
I've been going back and forth on this one. I'm really not sure if I have a deck that suits it incredibly well.
Zedruu the Greathearted to draw basically all of the cards ever. The clincher is the slowness and the equip cost. Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder could be crrrraaazy. It's likely where it's going, as the equip cost won't be too prohibitive. Thraximundar I guess could put it to use. The mana cost could be prohibitive for a deck like this though. The Ur-Dragon - well, yeah...crazy effect, but equip cost again. Lazav, Dimir Mastermind could be pretty awesome.
It's a cool card, it just really, really needs the headspace in mana to cover that equip cost.

How can the legends rule apply if the token isn't legendary I don't recall the legends rule doesn't apply thing doesn't remove legend type from the creature.

I went through the tier 1 and 1.5 commanders and most of them gain insane value if you were lucky enough to equip.
Kess, Dissident Mage - Past in Flames every turn, baa-roken.
Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder - Double cascade, triple cascade, ...
Zur the Enchanter - Scoop, thats the sound of opponents cards.
Animar, Soul of Elements - I mean over kill, but everything is going to be cheap as chips mate. more big attackers.
Arcum Dagsson - Get combo pieces all in one go, GG.
Breya, Etherium Shaper - Little less exciting, but extra thopters and even her copied selves can be sacrificed.
Captain Sisay - Multiple legendary cards a turn, sweet.
Edric, Spymaster of Trest - Multiple cards off every creature, sure.
Grand Arbiter Augustin IV - I can imagine if you get a stack of this guy, that it should be fun for everybody, and by everybody, I mean the Grand Arbiter player.
Karador, Ghost Chieftain - How many creatures do I get to play?
Selvala, Heart of the Wilds - I'll tap for a million...
Sidisi, Brood Tyrant - Rise from the dead, rise.
Sidisi, Undead Vizier - A zero costing demonic tutor every turn I suppose is OK...
The Gitrog Monster - Fine draw your deck, what is the worst you could do?
Yisan, the Wanderer Bard - The first one gets mana, the second one gets protection, the third one kills you, the fourth one is playing at the Apollo Theatre, apparently he was not needed.
Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, infinite Kikis.
I'll stop there, otherwise this list would be crazy long. I'll let other people come to the conclusion that this card is really really good.

It looks like its not the ruling on Helm of the Host, but the ruling on Brothers Yamazaki - "if you have exactly two".
