I have decks in all the three-color combinations except Sultai. It is very difficult to find a strategy that I like and that is not already present in my meta. I have built a proliferate/counter/superfriends deck first helmed by Vorosh, the Hunter and then by The Mimeoplasm, but I never play it because it does not excite me for some reason. I don't want to play generic BUG goodstuff. Some commanders like Sidisi are also ruled out, because my cousin already has a Sidisi deck and I don't want to have a deck that is basically a copy of his.
Do you have ideas for an original strategy in these colors? two ideas I've been thinking about are a Damia, Sage of Stones deck with lots of Maro creatures, or non-creature graveyard deck similar to The Gitrog Monster or Dralnu, Lich Lord builds. Unfortunately, Sultai is really lacking cool build-around commanders in that direction, except maybe Tasigur, the Golden Fang who I am not particularly excited about.
What cool Sultai decks do you play / have you seen / can you think of?
Riku of Two Reflections - Copy, then copy again | Shattergang Brothers - Token Sac&Recur | Gahiji, Honored One - Multiple attack steps | Karametra, God of Harvests - Landfall, Creaturefall, Shroud | Ruhan of the Fomori - Stop hitting yourself | Zurgo Helmsmasher - Equipment&Wraths | Crosis, the Purger - Dragon Tribal Reanimator | Derevi, Empyrial Tactician - No stax, just tap and untap fun | Anafenza, the Foremost - Enduring Ideal Enchantress | Sharuum, the Hegemon - Sphinx Tribal Control | Noyan Dar - Spellslinger | The Mimeoplasm - Counterpalooza
Lists can be found here.
Still convinced the guy on Beseech the Queen is wearing a Mitra-type hat. Wake up sheeple!
I have a Damia, Sage of Stone "Draw step!? We don't need no stinking draw step." deck. Since Damia already has you skip your draw step, there isn't a downside to using other cards that makee you do the same. It has a sub-theme of dumping your hand in various ways, but I am probably going to take that out as it makes the deck way to reliant on having Damia in play.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Damia, Sage of Stone is my Maro-themed Commander which we can talk about more in my deck thread. I don’t use Recycle or Null Profusion in my build because they lend themselves more to a combo build. I do like the idea of Elfhamme Palace and Psychic Possession and I think I am going to try to fit both of them into my deck.
On the general topic of Sultai commanders, there are not many options. If you have already tried Vorosh and The Mimeoplasm, then Damia and Sididi, Brood Tyrant are your only non-partner options since Leovold was banned. Sidisi can be a really fun reanimator/alternate cost reanimation (think Gravespawn Sovereign, Vengevine, Scourge of Nel Toth, etc.) themed deck.
After that, the suggestion of going with Partner commanders makes a lot of sense. I like the idea of running Reyhan, Last of the Abzan with Thrasios, Triton Hero with a +1/+1 counter theme.

Thanks for the comments!
I was also thinking about the partner commanders, but they suggest very few build-around themes to me. Outside of Reyhan's +1/+1 counter theme (which I have already tried with my current build) I see Silas Renn, Seeker Adept and Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurperthat are a bit more than the bland card/mana advantage of Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix and Thrasios, Triton Hero. So yeah, an artifact heavy combat focused deck could also be cool. I see some sac&recur shenanigans with Glissa, the Traitor and Executioner's Capsule, Sylvok Replica, Kuldotha Forgemaster...but it feels like such a deck really wants to have Shattergang Brothers as commander. Your thoughts?

A non-graveyard approach, perhaps? Since almost all Sultai plays with graveyard one way or the other. Damia is of course one such case, though Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper+Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix would be even more deviant, perhaps uses black's pay life for cards then add mana via Kydele?
