How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
I've not seen this played in a real long time. In fact, possibly when i bashed the duel decks, ajani vs bolas or something. If it were black or white, i'd def use it in my life-control deck though, but as it stands, i don't think it's really good enough for any of my decks.
Hmm... could potentially be another (really) big dumb beater for Bruse and Ikra... but I'm not sure the deck needs a stupidly big body as much as it needs ones more akin to Hellkite Overlord - ie. ones that are big, but also have some evasion to go with it... Granted, giving Ageless Entity double strike and lifelink is hilarious in theory at least.

Back in the day, one combo I always wanted to try but never could get to work was Serra Avatar/Spirit Link. This guy gave me a second shot at it. So, looking through the card:
Pro: Costs less.
Con: Is a flat 3/3 initially.
Pro: Synergy with Doubling Season and friends.
Pro: Losing life doesn't hurt him.
Con: Aether Snap and friends do hurt him.
I'd put him at 5/10. He can get big fast, but has no native evasion (or trample and super trample) and minimal utility. The lack of evasion is less of a concern than you might think, though. If you're in blue, there are plenty of ways to give him flying. There are definitely plenty of ways to give him trample. You can even use my favorite Trailblazer's Boots to just give him nonbasic landwalk; since nearly everybody uses some nonbasic lands, you can see where this is going.
Also, isn't it silly that he's called "Ageless Entity" when Karn's ignition is portrayed on a card?

Ageless compared to almost everything else on Argentum. Timescales are relative, you see. The oldest living being on Kaladesh, for example, would be but a child next to one of the older Equiloreans.
So while I am not usually one that runs creatures that are "just big dumb beaters", in the case of Ageless Entity I would encourage people to give it a second look.
You can use it (and Ajani's Pridemate) with a Soul Sister or an Aristocrat in Ghave as a way to get more +1/+1 counters. It's a bad way to do it, considering there are like, four cards that can do the same thing in one card, not counting all the creatures like Algae Gharial and Blade of the Bloodchief.

I've long had a soft spot for this card, and it keeps getting more fun. The obvious application is making your opponent's creatures unable to block, which makes this create a bunch of 3/3s to the face, but that's somewhat underpowered. Where it really shines is with things like Cathar's Crusade, Purphoros, Pandemonium, etc. It makes a bunch of fairly sizeable tokens fairly reliably.

Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
The thing I fantasize about doing with it is to take multiple combat steps (ideally with something so creatures can't block, as mentioned).
Oh, you've got 8 creatures, cool. I attack with 8 creatures. Then 64. Then 512...
Not too many interactions in magic that follow an exponential growth like that.
EDIT: actually it goes 9, 81, 729 if they have 8 creatures. Forgot it doesn't count itself as part of the X. So theoretically you're always getting in for 3 even if all their dudes are untapped and can block.
Great card. Plays a great role in my Nissa build. Last time I had it on field I copied it with Mirage Mirror, swung into a pile of Windgrace’s manlands, then went to second main and generated 84 green mana with Karametra’s Acolyte. This thing enables silliness. It’s a beautiful thing.
It's also pretty versatile. Say one opponent has X small tokens and another one sits behind Ghostly Prison and is way ahead. Just point the original one and Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist at the token guy, you'll get X tokens that you can swing at the Ghostly Prison guy, because a) the tokens don't enter the bf attacking the defending player and b) since they're not declared attackers you won't need to pay 2 for every single one of them.
So if you want to be exceptionally dumb with Nacatl War-Pride let its trigger go on the stack and then cast a Mirrorweave assuming someone or you yourself have a spicy target. It is a tricky thing to pull off and works with any card that can instant speed change the War-Pride into a different card but can be oh so much fun. Scourge of Valkas is the one I saw last time.
Every other restriction in magic can be described as a number (most often 1) of the following kind of restrictions: x must block y, x must be blocked or y must block. (like lure would give the creature it is on the first type of restriction with each creature controlled by the defender). This card is the only exception.
Besides that, rhys the redeemed is really funny with it. Only the original tokens get removed at end of turn.

For cheaper, you can use populate. Not as good, but it doesn't tie up mana.

I played it in my pet Asmira deck for some good time. Very strong for sacrifice shenanigans and can punch somw face. I removed it some changes ago when optimizing mana costs but I still keep it in the deck pool.
