As a longtime Doran player this card can beat me till I remove it. Also can be funny in Horobi?
Its pretty bad in Horobi. I sort of get where you're coming from, as it provides a sort of redundancy to Horobi, but its from a different angle (damage instead of targeting). Rather than build in caltrops and other cards that work well alongside Deathpits, Horobi decks would rather include recursion for Horobi.

The Meaning of Life: "M-hmm. Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations"
Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
Anyway, yeah, it's good against Doran, I guess. Assuming the Doran player isn't doing some sort of Voltron strategy with a side of Stax (which in this case means things like Ensnaring Bridge and Wave of Reckoning), and just happens to grant Doran indestructible somehow, or makes it so it doesn't take damage from black somehow. Or plays something off the wall like Mask of Law and Grace or Inviolability to make your strategy completely invalid.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
The flavor text should have just ended at "You can come back once you've learned some manners." The second part turns a snappy one liner into just being a dork. I never really used the card myself because outside of Cyclonic Rift which hits a lot more than creatures, I've learned not to like bounce anymore. Everyone runs all these ETB value peoples and unless I have a Torpor Orb out all I did was stop damage. Oh and cast triggers happen again too by the way. Speaking of cast triggers they get on attack triggers too like...say...annihilator. You know, because having just recently looked at an eldrazi card wasn't enough trauma re-living for this poor little casual edh guy ;_;
That character is called a ligature. (Technically, cursive is just one giant ligature, but whatev.)
I have to say, this is a card that seems aimed just at token decks. It kills the tokens, and there's no way to benefit from their death. Even though my token decks tend to have more varied wincons, it's still nice to just alpha strike sometimes. This ends that. And it's not something you can Aura Shards, Grave Pact, Martyr's Bond, Goblin Bombardment, or Attrition away.

In some countries, particularly the Danish and Norwegian alphabet, it's an actual letter. I'm kind of amused at the thought of someone feeling active hate towards a character, but I guess everyone has to have one pet peeve to unreasonably exaggerate.
This is true, but I would 100% play this over both of those cards in Wort tokens. The body it provides, that it's able to tap for mana itself, is very relevant here.

It's not that I hate the character, it's that I hate having to make the card tags recognize a name with a letter that isn't on my keyboard.

Zedruu: "This deck is not only able to go crazy - it also needs to do so."
I think it's pretty weak. Divination is a pretty bad card and slapping proliferate on it doesn't make it much better. Do decks like Marchesa and Ezuri really care about that they got one extra counter on their creatures?

Oros curves nicely with Akroma's Memorial, no? Also useful in this strategy is Jaya Ballard, Task Mage: Kill all creatures and blue permanents.

I really like this card, but I really hate that a/e character and I'm glad they stopped using it.
Great card though, Lazav, Dimir Mastermind is a fan.

Card's by far the least broken compared to Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary, Priest of Titania, and Gaea's Cradle.
