It's got 2 situational removals, a +1/+1 counter that's an easy 2nd mode if you need 1, and something really situational (which getting people with situational crap is my favorite part).

Zedruu: "This deck is not only able to go crazy - it also needs to do so."
I like it. the damage prevention mode is very narrow, but the other 3 are relevant and 2 of them are pretty strong. If this was a sorcery I'd be off it, but as an instant I think it's a solid one. You need to have some decent fighting creatures and be in WG though. 4/5.
The modes with fight are the most consistently useful from my experience, so I'd want some good sized creatures, but if you've got them, this is a solid card for a GW deck.
Making an opponent sacrifice an enchantment isn't that good. I actually do think it's better than sacrificing a creature or land because they won't just sac a token or a basic land, most of the time, but it's still "the least useful enchantment". But it can give you something to do when sacrificing your own Demonic Pact or something (even if all your enchantments have shroud from Sterling Grove or something, probably not a good example, but the first card with that specific effect I could name) since it says "target player" not "any player". Most of the time, I like edicting when it's repeatable.
The other options are nice, though. But it is really situational. But then again, I think they erred on the side of situational with this cycle.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Effects like driven are better when they're permanent or instant speed, but having despair on the back end to give evasion makes this a comparably strong draw spell with a particularly brutal extra effect.

It's a sorcery because it won't do anything special in response to a spell or on an opponent's turn, and you can't use it as sideways removal à la Giant Growth. It is one step closer to a green Coastal Piracy, which is something I want to see.

It needs either a deck that goes wide enough to get there just through sheer numbers, or big enough to make trample matter, but that's not to much of a hoop. When it works, its amazing.

Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
Hm...not liking it. It almost demands that you overcast it to prevent the second half from screwing its boardwipe potential. That adds potential for shenanigans, but...maybe my more learned colleagues can come up with something for this.

It’s almost like a color shifted Icy Blast with kill potential? Like, the tap clause is interesting in that you could eliminate blockers by choosing a common toughness to tap them down if they want to keep them but don’t care about an alpha strike? I honestly have no idea, the two abilities seem to clash with each other quite a bit.
Why does this cost xRR when Earthquake just costs xR? #BrowbeatIsBad But I guess Horseshoe Crab can live up to its flavor text.

Still convinced the guy on Beseech the Queen is wearing a Mitra-type hat. Wake up sheeple!
One from the old creatures that are really spells. I've never used this card, but I could imagine it being neat.
Best part is that you can stack the triggers for the best outcome. I mean, this ones pretty straight forward, “nullify” the discard by having that resolve before the bounce.
I had good times with Sawtooth Loon, and it’s in the king of bounce colors. I always wanted to jam Shivan Wurm, but it just wasn’t enough oomph to make the cut anywhere. These early cycles is what really got me interested in EDH. I actually played this in a Sygg, River cutthroat deck. Was primarily Bloodchief AscesionMindcrank combo, no tutors, pretty budget as it was a very early build.(may have been one of my first).
Either way, it’s a bit outclassed now, but it’s an efficient body with a surprisingly “scales to multi-player” ability. Pretty bad on an empty board, unless you are looking to do what Sire of Insanity does, with extra steps lol.
I should explain. At the time, Aura Shards was in the same block, and Intruder Alarm and Pandemonium were in the same Type 1.X (what we would later call Extended). If you're thinking of some sort of combo now, so was I back then.
Today, I use Horned Kavu (and to a lesser extent Sparkcaster and Shivan Wurm) in my Animar. Horned Kavu is especially nice with Aluren. You might want to check your weather app. I hear a storm's coming.

I find it interesting that they've been doing riffs on Sanguine Bond with increasing frequency, but they only did Exquisite Blood once. This one is fun in that you can activate it multiple times.
