Obviously, if someone runs direct damage spells, this is a very nice boost. But it's thoroughly amusing how many people get shocked to discover that two untapped R turn out to be a Nope from red...NOBODY expects a Nope from red, not even with Wild Ricochet or Reverberate out there.
I daresay you can't truly be unhappy to see this in your hand, ever.
I loved Fork in casual 60 card formats back during revised, and I still enjoy Fork today, and this thread might inspire me to make a new deck, or at least toss a Fork into an existing deck. Usually I keep Wild Ricochet in that spot, but that card doesn't give me the same nostalgia as Fork.

Many years ago, I was designing split cards. I immediately thought of Fork and Counterspell for one called (appropriately enough) Double // Nothing.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Well, some classics you can argue against. Maybe if you really don't want to deal combat damage for some reason? An "attacks and isn't blocked" trigger rather than actual saboteur is also an appreciable difference, although that just means it will be removed before the declare blockers step.
For this format in particular, I want all my Ophidians to have evasion. Thus, I prefer Shadowmage Infiltrator & (especially) Cold-Eyed Selkie for decks that want this effect.
Really only "good" for snek tribal, solely due to lack of options there. Ninjitsu would be living the dream, but I prefer my ninjitsu enablers with evasion. Would Femezawa want this?

Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
Ophidian type creatures took a huge hit to their viability when Planeswalkers were printed. Either way, I've always been more of a Thieving Magpie guy.
Was basically made obsolete a year later when Curiosity was printed. (And Curiosity is more punky.) Then you could just tap a Tim to ping an opponent and draw a card. Most versions now allow you to do damage and draw a card, some (like Curiosity) not even caring if it's combat damage or not.
The whole "attack, not blocked, don't do damage" templating never made sense to me.

Was basically made obsolete a year later when Curiosity was printed.
And a year after that, Coastal Piracy gave the ability to all of your creatures. An argument can be made that Ophidian gave you both card draw and the creature to attack with on a single card, instead of one card for draw (Curiosity/Coastal Piracy) and another for the body. But Thieving Magpie was also two years after Ophidian.
One time I walked in at the end of a 2 player game. The boros deck had lethal commander damage on the next swing, and at end of turn discarded Glory and Armageddon to hand size. The dimir opponent played a lethal board himself including Chancellor of the Spires and refused to target 'Geddon on principle and then died to Glory activation. I was disappointed in him.

He should've Geddon'd. All's fair when its being played against you anyway.
I've always really liked Glory. I was actually hoping this cycle would get a reprint in UMA. We got Anger but nothing else which is a bit of a bummer.
I run Glory in my Alesha, Who Smiles at Death build and love it. Pushing attackers through unimpeded is amazing for the deck and I'm already running a lot of ways to dump creatures in my graveyard as it is.
I daresay you can't truly be unhappy to see this in your hand, ever.

I don't know how many people want to play this card in particular, but it certainly invented a card archetype.

Glory is not a part of that cycle. Valor is the white member of that group. Also Brawn is in UMA.
That said Glory can be game ending or a total blank. Maybe I should get one for my Trostani deck. Would probably be the former in there.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how hosed Black got in that cycle with Filth.
