Actually this card seems pretty good in Keranos or any of the other blue gold-Gods. Get two blue devotion plus possibly who knows how many more of a color you need with the card you steal?
Eh, I prefer my gods to stay as Enchantments.
Great to grab a Planeswalker, though. I’ve done that a few times, popped off an ultimate or two. The good news is, you’ll always have a target.
It's one of those kind of effects, much like 'destroy target permanent' that one should probably always play a bit more. As said, you'll always have a target for it, and usually several juicy ones to pick from to best suit your ends...
Plus it's just fun to say 'I'm sorry but I'm going to have to confiscate that for the greater good. You understand.'

confiscate seems pretty good. not so commonly seen though.
I think its competitors (that mostly get only creatures/artifacts only) are quite limiting. That being said EDH generally uses too many creatures that are juicy targets, so a simple control magic is usually just as good.
...but unlike control magic, i can't counter it with something like imprisoned on the moon (control magic falls off if the permanent it enchants isn't a creature anymore).
I'm running it in my Kestia, the Cultivator deck along with some other control-magic like auras and I have to say I
considerr it my most important piece of removal. I have occasionally got the win out of it. I jave never played it outside Kestia but I'm building a Tuvasa hossers deck and I'm planning to run it.

Zedruu: "This deck is not only able to go crazy - it also needs to do so."
Take Possession is just 1 more than Confiscate to get Split Second, which can often mean the difference between getting a thing or not (due to counters, sacrifice, blink, etc).

Some blinks, bounces, and all removals will say "Not today, jerkface!" (And yeah, Homeward Path...) Though forcing a player to waste a removal is a good feeling.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
If you're planning on wheeling, why not try her? Especially since she can easily wrath the board. Six mana is asking a lot for a planeswalker without an ultimate, but still.

Generally I think it safer to bet on not getting an ult out of your walkers (outside of superfriends anyway), which is why I prefer to look for value in the other abilities they have. Flamecaller does well there. She puts bodies on the board, wheels for free with net card advantage and can nuke up the board real good. I think she's good quality.

She'd do well in one of the izzet draw-commander decks, like the locust god or niv-mizzet, parun. 6 mana for a planes walker is that bit much than I'd like, but you can't deny she'd be great for a well suited commander. I doubt you'd use anything except her +0 ability...
Well for U more you get blatant thievery that is WAY better...
Is it? Seven is way different than six as well as UU vs UUU. When you fire off blatant thievery, you may not even get much more in value than the confiscate grabbed, unless the board was loaded in which case a wipe is likely impending. I guess you could take three lands...but is that worth 4UUU? I have my doubts.
One of the best Chandras around, that 0 ability is great and the -X does good work too. A PW needs to have at least two good modes or one OP one without needing to tick up first to be playable as far as I'm concerned and this one has both. The 0 ability is by far the better one. Even the +1 is not without merit though, Skullclamp likes those tokens a lot.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I think it is my second favorite Chandra for edh. My first is chandra ablaze simply for being solid card advantage (if you have 6 mana to cast a planeswalker in mono red, you're probably out of gas) as well as a good way to mess with opponents hands. Still, she's really good for all 3 modes.
Chandra, Torch of Defiance is an excellent walker in constructed formats, tis true, but in EDH she isn't much better than a sisay's ring. If you get her ultimate off, of course it's excellent, but I think that the 6 mana chandra's already listed have way more impact in an edh game.

it's like casting confiscate three times against three opponents and you don't even have to worry about enchantment removal. so yeah totally worth a mere U...

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

In EDH, there are other interactions you can do with confiscate though; blink it to change targets, draw off enchantresses and so on, just as blatant thievery has funky interactions with other things.
But back to the card of the day, chandra's good. Never actually seen her played before though, but i might wanna get my hands on one... actual card draw in red is few and far between, even if it's gonna be a 6-mana wheel.
Planeswalkers have very short lifespans in multiplayer games so I prefer the ones that make a good immediate impact from the get-go rather than the ones where you uptick with small effects and pray for a chance to use that last ability. Thus I consider this version of Chandra to be pretty solid.

+1 tokens (even if they're mini-Ball Lightnings)
0 card draw (a wheel with actual card advantage)
-X removal and win condition
The +1 can be made better with the usual suspects (Purphoros, God of the Forge, Warstorm Surge) and the 0 can be made better with Alhammarret's Archive. For the -X, it depends. You can use Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, but, just like her mentor, I might suggest Akroma's Memorial for mass pro-red just to make it broken af? She even curves with the Memorial.
