Greetings! I've been steadily tricking out my Sigarda, Heron's Grace EDH deck (Human & Equipment theme) but need a little help. I've got great creatures and removal/defense, but it seems that half the games I play I'm stuck on 2-3 lands forever while my opponents have a 7-mana pool by turn 4.
How can I improve my land base and card draw abilities?
Ramp has to be cheap and directly go to the battlefield early in the game. Anything CMC 4 and above needs to be really good. Plus, the cheaper your stuff is the faster you build up a bigger graveyard.
If you're playing G and get outpaced by others you're doing it wrong.
The new Lifecrafter's Bestiary is good card draw for creature-heavy decks. Along with Mentor of the Meek, Bygone Bishop can provide additional card draw for decks full of smaller creatures. The cost of drawing via Investigate is higher than paying with the Mentor, but with the Mentor you have to pay the cost at the time the creature enters play or miss out on the opportunity, so each has its advantages. And the clue tokens can help maintain metalcraft for Puresteel Paladin, though that's likely of minimal concern in decks which run the Paladin in the first place. However, you might consider running the white and green artifact lands along with your selection of basics to help get metalcraft online early in the game.
Rishkar's Expertise is fantastic card draw if you are running even a few large creatures, great for refilling your hand later in the game.
The green ramp spells are obvious additions, if you aren't already running them. Things like Wood Elves are great if you have ways of flickering or bouncing creatures, which is something of a thing in white.
Eladamri's Call is an oft-ignored, excellent creature tutor.
I would up your lands by 1, 35 imho is to low for Sigarda. See if you can get a Canopy Vista while they are cheap. They were $2.5(sure you can find them for trades, get 4x) and by far do the best dual land impression in edh and are fetched by the ramp mentioned above. Also if you can find one Grasslands, budget fetch land. Unless you're Ultra competitive, why pay $15, when $0.5 can do the trick as well?
As for ramp the
How can I improve my land base and card draw abilities?
Current Land Base: 35 Lands, a mixture of duals, basics, taps, evolving wilds, etc.
Card Draw: Puresteel Paladin, Mentor of the Meek, Harmonize, Skullclamp, Stone Haven Outfitter, Terrarion
Ramp & Land Tutor: Karametra, God of Harvests, Werebear, Selesnya Cluestone, Sol Ring, Birds of Paradise, Borderland Ranger, Sword of the Animist (Already know I need a Keyrune and Signet)
Other Tutors: Open the Armory, Congregation at Dawn, Relic Seeker, Thalia's Lancers
I'm primarily seeking help on the land base and card draw. Any suggestions on a sleek budget? Thanks! -Cyg
Depending on how many equipments you run, Sram, Senior Edificer might be able to help with draw, and things like Shamanic Revelation or Soul of the Harvest are great for creature-heavy decks.

Not so sure about Card Draw, but Mentor of the Meek seems to be an obvious include with Sigarda, Heron's Graces' activated Ability.

Good call on Lifecrafter's Bestiary! I'll add it one once I'm done having fun with my standard Rishkar deck
