What are some cheap (below $10) sources of ramp in a mono-Black Kuro, Pitlord EDH deck?

Magus of the Coffers
Bubbling Muck
Caged Sun
Black Market
Crypt of Agadeem
Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
Liliana of the Dark Realms

Wayfarer's Bauble, Burnished Hart + Solemn Simulacrum (with ways to reanimate them), are probably the three best since you will most likely be using a Cabal Coffers.

While not cheap Volrath's Stronghold is funny with those two

phyrexian reclamation may be the budget route, could eventually get up to multiple burnished cast+sac per turn, and skips the required drawstep. If he doesn't plan on using many creatures although then it would be a pointless inclusion.

Ashnod's Altar, while doesn't make mana on its own, I find it quite useful with early tokens. I haven't checked the price of Gauntlet of Power, but if you can get one it'd help a lot also. EDIT: Slightly over $10 from TCGPlayer.

If you average out the costs, Cabal Coffers and Expedition Map are below $10 each. Coffers is far and away the best ramp in mono-B and is worth including a dedicated tutor for. I've definitely built mono-B lists around that card. Coffers, Deserted Temple, Petrified Field, Vesuva, Thespian's Stage, Grim Discovery, etc. You're probably not going for all of those on a budget, but Coffers at least is worth saving up for.

Otherwise, the usual array of mana rocks are good. Worn Powerstone, Thran Dynamo, Gilded Lotus, Everflowing Chalice, etc. You can safely go for some pretty big rocks with Kuro's CMC and upkeep cost.

Fellwar Stone should always produce black mana. If your meta is weird, at the very least you get one colorless, a Mind Stone without the second ability.

Phyrexian Altar - still pretty pricey, but not quite as bad as the coffers and tomb.
I wouldn't recommend it as a fantastic option, but there is Dark Ritual too. Much better in a 60 card format. I'd only play it if you have a reliable engine to copy it abusively.

For colourless ramp, there's Pawn of Ulamog, Sifter of Skulls and Corpsehatch.

Honestly though, you probably are best to get the ultimate mana producing suite of all time in Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Cabal Coffers and Expedition Map. Nothing else compares. I guess it depends how important the deck is to you whether you spring for this stuff or not.

Rocks work as well...there is a great thread on here somewhere detailing all of them.

As others have mentioned, Cabal Coffers is really the best mono-black ramp card there is. It's only a few bucks over $10, but is well worth it. Another card that hasn't been mentioned yet, but Nirkana Revenant would be a good one. Again, this is currently about the same price as a Cabal Coffers (~ $14 - $15), but an excellent ramp card nonetheless.

I endorse Dark Ritual 100%. You don't need a way to abuse it, it's a better Mana Vault in mono B. Make sure and include enough card draw in your deck to overcome the card disadvantage that it causes, but it's a great way to power out that turn 2 Crypt Ghast or early mana rocks.

Dark Ritual needs card draw to recoup its cost, in either card advantage by having a Sheoldred, Whispering One or an Erebos, God of the Dead.

Out of curisoity, why Kuro, Pitlord for your Commander?

Kuro, Pitlord just struck me a feasible Commander if I could ramp up to it. It also seems like a good mono-Black removal-centric Commander for some kind of control deck.

I thought you were going for style points with Kuro since he is normally not used as a general, normally in the 99 of Iname, Death Aspect. Even so, kudos to you for using him. Kagemaro, First to Suffer is also a good removal choice which you could run in your deck.
