Looking to build a water-themed deck around Quest for Ula's Temple. I general must be a Theros god: thinking Thassa, God of the Sea or Kruphix, God of Horizons. I'm leaning towards Thassa because her scry works well with triggering Quest, but maybe access to Green gives me better water cards?
Also are there any sweet combos or synergies that work in a water-themed deck? All I can see right now is casting big ol' fishies and swinging big, which is fine, but easily disruptable, so I'd like something stronger to fall back on.
EDIT: Also in these colors, how many ways can I tutor up Quest? I know of Dizzy Spell, anything else?
I would actually go for Ephara, God of the Polis. She acts as a decent draw engine to support the card, and she can be some decent draw even without the quest.
If you go GU, you'll want at least one of the two Kioras.
Ætherize isn't water-themed per se, but it can be a good sweep against aggro, especially used in tandem with Bident of Thassa. Whelming Waveis water-themed, and was in fact designed to work with QfUT. Displacement Wave is another good water-themed wrath, especially fierce against tokens. Polymorphist's Jest turns even the hardiest creatures into puny Frog snacks for your sea beasties.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Stay monoblue, with its Islands and U best representing water, and Thassa leading the way; note that Thada Adel, Acquisitor loves the giant creatures that turn lands into Islands.
High Tide provides some timely and thematic ramp. Once.
Cheers!

If in the area, check out Gamers N Geeks and Mini War Games in Mobile, Alabama and Underhill's Games in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
thematically, thassa is probably the best. the scry is also very useful in triggering the quest counters. if you wanna get some more powerful synergies though, you might need to splash a colour or two, probably green (gives you some cool dudes like Simic Sky Swallower and top-of-library-tutors like worldly tutor) or black (gives you things like wrexial and nemesis of reason).
It's probably at its best in a multicolor deck that supports a bunch of changelings in addition to genuine Krakens, Octopuses, Leviathans, and Serpents. I played it briefly in my Reaper King omni-tribal deck that's stuffed to the gills with changelings, but it wasn't good enough there. Turns out Changeling Sentinel isn't even worth cheating into play. If you go green you get access to one of the better changelings in Chameleon Colossus and some redundancy in Descendants' Path.

You would never guess, at the terrifying sight of the man, that Hunding was as charming a companion as one could wish for.
I have a B/U Ula Wrexial (commander) Deck…(the 60 card mono blue version was banned by my peers): almost all cards are creatures (to satisfy Ula’s counter requirements ). Early drops are Augry Owl, Sage Owl, Gomazoa, phantom warrior, and creatures with useful activated abilities for removal of opponents enchantments, creatures and artifacts. Creatures to scry/tutor Ula’s Temple and that set the stage for the onslaught of big scary beasties: Grozoth, Deep-Sea Kraken (potential early drop w suspend),
Inkwell Leviathan, Tidal Kraken. Lorthos.
Don’t play ulas temple until you also have the ability to get the three counters quick: Clockspinning (one of the few cards that adds “any counter”) an/or Paradox Haze, and enough Cancel and redirect to protect it.
