Unfortunately I do not think this is going to work out the way it initially sounds. The discard is in the cost, so you are going to put the creature on your deck, search for a creature (could even be the same one), then shuffle your deck. Genesis is not a lesser extent anyway though because it is paying 2G to get an extra card.
Consider the difference between Genesis and Volrath's Stronghold. One is instant speed, but the other gains a card rather than just selecting the next draw.
[EDH] It's built to be a casual format and to a specific vision, and if you don't like the vision, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not going to change to accommodate everyone. Big tent is not a goal.
I think you guys are misunderstanding the wording of Library. Yes pitching a card is part of survival's cost but with library out it doesn't matter how the card is discarded if you're forced to discard (survival's secondary cost) you can discard it to the top of your library instead so yes in a sense you are still "pitching" the card but not to the yard. Also with Genesis in the yard you can pitch the creature and simply get it back next upkeep.

This is the same reason that adding loyalty counters to planeswalkers while doubling season is in play does not give you double the amount of loyalty. Adding loyalty counters is a cost.

R The easiest (less mana) combo with Dualcaster Mage is with Twinflame, but it does not appear under R or in the UR section. Also, most of those combos require a creature already on the battlefield.

One that I've had a lot of fun with is Ezuri, claw of progress+sage of hours+ 5 experience counters= Infinite turns as long as they both survive the first turn
add Sapseep Forest to any of the above and you get infinite life gain (assuming you have two green permanents)
add Sprout Swarm to any of the above and you get infinite saproling tokens
Fauna Shaman + Illusionist's Bracers + Kozilek, Butcher of Truth = tutor up a creature once per turn for one green mana. How it works: activate Fauna ability, (bracers copies it, so you can search for 2 creatures when they resolve), discard Koz as part of the cost, Koz's ability triggers as soon as it hits the graveyard, resolve that and shuffle Koz back into your deck, along with the rest of your graveyard, then search for two creatures and put them in your hand. Choose Kozilek as one of those creatures and you can do this again next turn when Fauna untaps.
use one of the above combos to produce infinite saprolings, that plus Cream of the Crop + Gaea's Anthem gives you the ability to sort your deck such that it ends up in any order you want. On the other hand, you could just float like 100 mana and the summon Omnath, Locus of Mana. When it hit's the table, you can sort your deck in one fell swoop.
The saprolings come into play as 2/2 creatures. Each one hitting the table allows you to look at the top two cards of your deck, put one on top and the rest on the bottom in an order of your choice. It turns out that doing this repeatedly allows you to "bubble sort" your deck, as the programmers would say.

Final Fortune imprinted on Isochron Scepter + Sundial of the Infinite = you get an arbitrary number of turns (of your choice) before your opponent ever get's another one. How it works: play the scepter and imprint the Final Fortune on it. Activate the scepter to take an extra turn. End the turn via the Sundial before the beginning of that turn's ends step (or in response to the delayed trigger even). The "lose the game" effect, officially, doesn't happen and you get infinite free turns. For two generic mana.
If you make The Mimeoplasm a copy of Dark Impostor and give it two +1/+1 counters from Scavenging Ooze... It will still have the Ooze's activated ability, since it is technically exiled by the "Dark Impostor", as well as any activated abilities from creature cards it exiles from graveyards with the Ooze's activated ability.

Transcend Time! Modern Time walk Deck Primer (WIP)
With Chandra untapped and enchanted with dual casting, her controller casts a red spell, Chandra has an untap trigger that will go on the stack. The player can respond to this trigger by tapping her using the enchantments ability to copy the spell on the stack. She will untap, and be available to copy that same spell a second time.

Update: Okay, I think I might have misread what you mean. For you to get 2 free copies of the original spell, yes it work. But it won't go infinite based on these 2 cards.
BWaste Not + Death Cloud/Pox/Smallpox = Great synergy to break the symmetry of the Pox effects as you'll either draw cards, put creatures into play, or gain mana depending on what is discarded in a 4 man EDH game. This is a mono-color Synergy.

Argothian Elder + Wirewood Lodge + Wild Growth or just any land that taps for more than one green mana (e.g. Lotus Vale) = infinite mana
Krosan Restorer (with threshold) + Maze of Ith + any land = infinite mana (during combat only)
Magus of the Candelabra + Umbral Mantle + Vernal Bloom + 4 forests = infinite green mana, infinite land untaps (so infinitely large Blinkmoth Nexus, for example)
Argothian Elder + Sword of the Paruns + Keeper of Progenitus + 2 forests = infinite green mana, infinite land untaps (so infinitely large creatures via Heart of Yavimaya for example)
