Hey, so I just built a Bruna, Light of Alabaster voltron deck. I love going all in on a theme and the new rules change prompted me to do this because I can go really all in and not feel bad about it having that as a huge weakness.
I have gotten to play it about five times in the past couple of days and I am running into a bit of a problem. Namely, I have found myself wanting counterspells more often. I really went all in on the theme pretty hard as a start for the deck so I figured I would need to make some changes.
What do you guys think is a good number of counterspells for a voltron deck? Additionally, what do you guys think is a decent number of aura's and aura tutors to make sure I can still suit her up reliably large the first time she attacks or blocks but still leave room for other things?
Off the top of my head:
(62 spells)
4 tutors
4 goodstuff/bombs
6 counter spells
6 rocks
7 filter/loot draw
7 removal/wrath
14 auras
14 support creatures
since you're going with bruna, probably load up on the slightly more expensive counters (since i'm assuming you're running the slower, controlling game)... possibly upwards of 10? you'd probably want at most 1 or 2 in your hand at any one time, and use them only during a rainy day..
a couple of hidden gems though: Complicate (cycling lets you draw AND cycle, and is an ability/not counterable normally), Diplomatic Escort (turns all your auras in your hand into counters too), forbid (is amazing, especially if you have a draw engine going).
So, I went through my list trying to cut a few things to make room for about 6 counterspells. I need to make one more cut and I am deciding between Alexi's Cloak, and Diplomatic Immunity. What do you guys think? Is the flash better than the enchantment having shroud also? Or should I not worry about the flash since I can drop it onto her for free on attack anyway?

You want the flash so you can protect your Bruna when she's not in combat. Having shroud on the aura itself isn't much of a benefit.

I'm going to experiment with both. Since I have only recently built the deck, I will slowly find out what is working well and what needs change. Thanks for the suggestion
