This actually just put Song of the Dryads on my radar. As a rule I do not like temporary removal, but the option to copy something cool with a simple Vesuva makes this much more interesting to me. Would be hilarious to see the look on someone's face who didn't think that could ever happen. It never occurred to me either until I read the explanation given in the FAQ link.
Song turns permanent into forest. Vesuva targets said forest with copy ability Vesuva copies all text on the "forest" card EXCEPT the part that makes it a forest, because that is on Song of the Dryads, not the text of the copied card. So you get a fully functional copy for 0 that is not a forest. So funny.
It's an amazing card, and I have won off of it against people who rely on their commanders too much. Better than tucking against Black, as they can't kill the enchantment and can't tutor for it (as they can with tucking).
I imagine people will start packing answers to the card, as it can really ruin your gameplan.
The main reason I play it is to use Academy Rector or Sun Titan to cheat it onto a hexproof/shroud creatures. But when I have cast it normally, I have won games from it.
It is worth playing. It won't always be good, but if you are playing multiplayer there should be a good target somewhere.
The thing you’re missing here is that it doesn’t just remove the card, it turns it into a land. You can literally turn your opponents commanders into a land and it doesn’t go back to the command zone.

Don't really see an issue with talking about Song of the Dryads in a thread dedicated to talking about Song of the Dryads, rather than making an entirely new thread whenever you want to talk about a card

after a decade of no posts previous discussion is most likely outdated due to sheer amount of cards printed and rules changes. and necroing post is formulated as an answer to previous post not separately added information. there is no point to make people read such old posts to follow the flow of conversation.
