I've been wiping out tables with Lure effects. Folks either don't want to use their spot removal on an expendable creature or they can't because I've got Dosan the Falling Leaf on the 'field. I'm curious if others have had as much success as I've had. For a reference list, check the Kamahl, Fist of Krosa deck in my signature.

There are no divisions: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. -Galatians 3:28
The only Lures I'd consider running are: Nemesis Mask - Being an equipment makes it re-usable Taunting Elf - Super cheap
That said, Kamahl seems like a decent place for them because you can animate lands and force them to block.
Well, except they can just tap them for mana before blockers.
So maybe not.

I like the idea of Noble Quary in an enchantress style deck. The build I'm playing around with right now tends to spam out tokens, so having an enchantment that can give me two potential lure effects could be pretty good. I really don't see it living for a full round after blowing out a player very often, but if nothing else it will eat removal over something more valuable.
I don't mind in the decks I've tested it in. Lure + Deathtouch (+ Indestructible) can be fun but unless you set up a profitable situation, losing a creature and the Lure to take out a few other creatures can be rough. I guess in Mono Green it can have a place.

Seems really expensive for the effect... At 6 mana I'd rather be doing a ton of other things than throwing a Lure and a tiny buff on my creatures, especially in Green.

This is why I started playing magic in the first place. It wasn't PT aspirations just making noobs cry by doing things that are perfectly fair.

The thing is though, I'm looking at that for an enchantress deck with Sigil of the Empty Throne, Ajani's Chosen, and Heliod, God of the Sun. In my testing so far, the deck generally builds up momentum until it reaches a critical mass, but it's slow to get there. A lure effect should reduce the size of the swarm needed to break though. While Noble Quary does cost 6 mana to bestow, in that type of deck it should be drawing 1-2 cards, and the turn you play it, someone should lose the game. True, a regular Lure would do the same thing for half the cost, but by the time you want to play it the manacost is mostly irrelevant, and the Quary offers more options. A straight Overrun might be stronger, but the pony has more style.
Lure effects work surprisingly well as pseduo removal, a team strike enabler, or both. The issues with Lure effects is making sure you dont get two for oned, and finding suitable creatures to put the effects on. Tempting Licid is one of my favorite lure enablers because it dodges spot removal and is reusable. Creatures with deathtouch or indestructible are great targets for these types of effects.
I use Lure and it's ilk extensively in my Polukranos deck below, and it helps show that green is more than jist ramp
My Doran deck was based on Lure effects and I found that it was quite effective. Tempting Licid was particularly strong in the deck as it can serve as a lure, and a super-blocker. Infiltration Lens was a great card that helped me move through the deck fairly quickly. I would load up doran with Darksteel Plate and a Lure effect--preferably Gift of the Deity or Indrek Umbra then I’d have cards like Hydra Omnivore punish people.
I really loved the deck—it was fun to play, unique, and competitive enough to win a game every now and then. I have an old deck list here http://www.mtgcommander.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=15208
You’ll have to cut a few things, post sylvan, but all around I think it’s a fun deck

No one spoke. There was no need. The threat of the Eldrazi presented a simple choice: lay down your arms and die for nothing, or hold them fast and die for something.
Actually, I think Tower Above and Revenge of the Hunted are both pretty good. I've tried them both out in Xenagos. They always seem to blend well with creatures like Cyclops Gladiator and Brontotherium, even though they seemed redundant at first. The trample and the hugeness and the beat-face add up to being pretty cool. Of course, that's about the opposite from using a Lure effect on a weenie in order to get a horde though, but I suppose Lure is good for that too.
Shinen of Life's Roar is pretty cool, but I've never seen it played. It's either a 1G Taunting Elf with +1/+1, or an uncounterable Lure for an extra mana. Both modes are very fairly costed, and the flexibility is great.
Some of my favorable lure targets are Stuffy Doll, an activated Nylea, God of the Hunt, Sylvan Basilisk, and the previously mentioned Engulfing Slagwurm. It's important to note with the latter two that if they somehow gain trample, their damage will still get through. Stuffy Doll is hilarious when someone over extends, as you can swing with it for the win (yes, swing with Stuffy Doll). Anything with indestructible works very well with Lure, too. Vigor also plays well with lure effects, but then again a lot of things benefit greatly from it.
Quick Question about Lure. So if my opponent has one creature that is a 3/3 with the 'lure' ability of "all creatures must block this creature" and I have 7 creatures of mixed stats, do all 7 of my creatures have to block? Even if I have a 1/3 as well, which should be enough to block my opponents 3/3. Also, if this is the case, do I get to choose which creature I block with first? As in, can I choose to block my opponents 3/3 with my 6/6 first, therefore saving any creatures I have that are under 3/3 from dying? Hope this makes sense and thanks in advance for any responses!
So, you know the bit where it says “all” creatures must block? It means all. Not some, all.
When you block with multiple creatures, the attacker (usually) assigns the damage. Therefore, they could kill your 1/3, or three 1/1s, or whatever. You would need something like banding to prevent this.
This means that Lure can often be used kind of like removal, on top of the fact that it (usually) makes everything else you attack with unblockable - which is usually the bigger deal, since it might mean damage triggers or, more likely, just flat-out killing someone.
Thank you, but what about a scenario where one of my creatures can kill my opponents creature... so all my creatures have to block a 3/3. I have a 3/3, 4/4, 5/5 for example. Does my opponents 3/3 still make all 3 of my creatures block, or does his 3/3 die once its blocked by one of my creatures, since they have enough to kill his creature, therefore my other creatures CAN block, but dont HAVE to, because the opposing creature died already because it took 3 lethal demage.

They all block the attacking creature simultaneously. And once a blocker is assigned it remains blocking that creature. The attacker can then assign its damage however the player wants. In this scenario, the best the attacker can manage is deal its 3 damage to the 3/3 and trade, and the 4/4 and 5/5 will live but will still only be blocking that one attacking creature. If that 3/3 has deathtouch however, it could assign 1 damage to all 3 and kill all of them and the attacker would also die.

Lure effects can be pretty good if you have a bunch of fat, hexproof ground beaters like Thrun, the Last Troll, Dungrove Elder, Reaper of the Wilds, Archetype of Endurance, Plated Slagwurm, and Uril, the Miststalker.
