Recurring Far/Away over and over via Archaeomancer/Conjurer's Closet to keep a green player completely shut out of creatures, and keep Omnath off the table by forcing the sac repeatedly, so that by the time he Krosan Gripped my Closet, the cost of playing Omnath was prohibitive.

No, it's not. Indestructible is a quality, but the text "Ulamog is Indestructible" is an ability. Turn will remove that ability, which in turn (see what I did thar?) removes the quality.
This is part of the reason for the change. It's bloody confusing to the lay Magic player.

The irritating part about all the best Fuse cards is that they're tri-colored, and often in underplayed enemy color triples. It means there are very few decks that CAN run them, let alone WANT to run them.

Ready // Willing has become a favorite. 4BGWW for deathtouch, lifelink, and indestructible? Granted, the only deck that can really use it is Ghave, but still...
Beck // Call is good for any GWU general. It's guaranteed to replenish your hand if you pay the full 8.
Toil // Trouble is really good, but I have yet to use it synergistically. (Mostly because Sign in Blood on an opponent is almost always a Bad Thing.)
Profit // Loss is exactly as bad as I thought it would be. Seriously, you will never convince me to run it.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

If they are going to shine, it's going to be in decks where tri-color shines brightest: EDH.
That said, since EDH is more ammenable to more mana per turn, having the extra versitility in a card is an awesome bonus.

I think Catch // Release would be really fun, but you're forced to play a bad general.
I also really like Ready // Willing, though, and that one's in the best-positioned enemy triple.
