Also, I have to admit that I find it actually find it quite funny the way you celebrate your independence day. It seems like to whole USA gets high and tries to do as many stupid things they can in 24 hours.
Around here, everyone just shuts themselves in their homes (and everyone burns candles then, no exceptions) and all places outside are deserted. But, on the other hand, our independence day is in December 6th, which is the time of the your when winter has just arrived and weather is pretty much always like like pictured here.

What do you celebrate your independence from? Polar bears? The yeti? And get it straight, it takes us three days to burn through the amount of beer and fireworks required to properly celebrate Independence Day.

Russia? We declared ourselves independent from Russia in 1917 (same time they had their revolution and became Soviet Union). Note that few other countries like Estonia also declared themselves independent from Russia, but ended up taken back by Soviet Union. Finland was the only country that stayed independent and that was thanks to out very own dictator UKK. Sure, he was a dictator but his rule of Finland was good for us since: 1) We might have ended up having to do an alliance with Soviet Union, but nevertheless we stayed independent and 2) When UKK decided something and wanted things to happen, they happened. (Nowadays, when politics promise that something happens, it usually takes 20 years to happen...)
And seriously, 3 days? How much beer and fireworks you spend then?

American drinking for independence day would make Ireland and Germany share a collective blush.
Nothing says 'MURICA like a drunk Bald Eagle firing rounds into the other wildlife.
While rafting on the 4th I saw 3 Bald Eagles "fighting" (chasing each other around, no damage) and when the run was over we had seen 11 Bald eagles total.
And seriously, 3 days? How much beer and fireworks you spend then?
3 days???? MINE WENT 4 DAYS
Also, fireworks are a lot of fun. My dad growing up always dropped like $100 - $150 on fireworks for the 4th. Its a lot of fun shooting them off. I think he spends less now though that he has a lake cabin though as you can watch everyone else shoot the big stuff now. Going to a lake for Independance Day is kinda crazy as its like concentrated crazy people + watercraft + alcohol.

Slavery is usually illegal.
Slavery usually only applies to people. Hobbits aren't people.
