Also love playing Skryim, but haven't taken the time to do so for a few weeks. I have a regular Monday Night RPG that's been going for a year and a half (in a campaign that I started in 1987) for which I do a fair amount of game-prep work as well as cooking for four hungry gamers (at 220, I'm the lightest guy in the group).
Me, I prefer sequels to games I liked already or ones that look hella interesting
Also, as seen by my sig, I would totally have a bromance with Tim Schafer and that incredible, game-creating mind of his. I'm embarassed to say I have yet to play Costume Quest, though. Did you guys hear Notch wants to fund Psychonauts 2?
The only game I'm playing ATM is Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. It makes me sad that the only time Mickey Mouse is cared about by Disney anymore, it's when he's fighting amorphous black monsters along with Final Fantasy characters.

^ don't worry, I also have a 2000-hour mhfu retired hunter.
I finally started learning how to use a longsword. I still perfer a hunting horn oddly enough. Nothing is more pleasing than being told "oh, a Hunting Horn.... go play with the other noobs...."
20 min.
"So, you 3 died to a (explitive) kut-ku and I never got (explitive) hit, even though I knocked it out.... twice and kept full buffs up THE WHOLE TIME"
sad part is.... thats a true story......
Also, best HH armour is Cham X. Gemmed right, I got at least HGE, DWB, Flute Expert and Stealth.
When it comes to games, I tend to be pretty picky about them. Obviously I like fighters in general, but most of the games I also play are fairly specific and hold a dear place in my heart. They also tend to have very small, tight-knit communities, with the exception of maybe Counter-Strike 1.6 (screw Source, seriously) since that game is still played a crapton to this day.
One of my dream goals in life is to buy cabinets for both VS and MvC2.
Oh god why? That game was terrible.
"Hey everybody, were gonna give you 30+ characters to choose from but only 3-5 of them are playable. Have fun with Storm, Sentinel, Doom matches over and over again."
Its fun if you're playing with people who don't know the higher level strategies, but if you want to play with competent people and challenge yourself than its like playing magic when affinity was in standard. I just like my fighting games to have a semblance of diversity and balance.
Otherwise its all pringles, and I have no idea where my curly mustache at.
Hey hey! My mesmeric orb deck wrecked affinity! It was goblins I had a problem with... (honestly, this surprised me, I figured it would be the reverse, and consequently didn't playtest goblins very much...)
Don't play morde... He was awesome, but then I lost as him, got mad and uninstalled
My grades shot up !
EDIT: Being in the commander area I've got a question:
Kresh or Thrax?
I wanna have a lot of sacrifice effects. I was leaning towards Thrax but he'd $10 and 7! mana and I've got a Kresh already. I want to steal things, sac them for my benefit, force sac and stuff. Green adds stuff but blue does too. WHICH? Anyone knows the pros and cons?

Indeed. Khezu sets as well. I love Greatswords for their versatility, but I can use all weapons as needed though.

MHFU is Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSP) - probably one of the most successful game released in the psp.
Between Kresh and Thrax, I like Thrax colors but I like Kresh more. His ability goes well with Red I believe.
Oh man, I totally forgot about that game. I think I still have it somewhere in the closet. Totally whipping the NES out later.
Any Wild Arms 2 fanatics? Love that game I'd rather than was remastered for the ps3 than the constant rumors of FF7 getting the same treatment.
Also, viper where's mah pixelated trophy.
Youre lucky yours still works. I need to fidget around with the cartriges for a while to get it to work right for me. The original TMNT on the NES was brutal. I still consider getting to the technodrome to be one of my bigger gaming accomplishments

Every rarity gets good cards. That means that some mythic rares will be tournament quality as will some commons, some uncommons and some rares. My promise wasn't that mythic rares wouldn't get good cards but that we wouldn't limit the good cards to only being mythic rare.
Bear this in mind the next time a powerful mythic rare is spoiled
Thanks to chaostheory90 for finding this quiz for me

I suprisingly had no love for Khezu sets until I did a fiesta mission against the narga and was given khezu U and a HH. With my friend, it was a dismantling. Everytime he got hit, He'd get back up with near full health and.... it was just nasty....

This makes me happy. Psychonauts is in my top 10 list of games everyone has to play.
Jace SHOULD be unbanned in modern. I hate all the people saying "JACE IS BROKEN OHMYGOD HE'LL TAKE OVER AND CAWBLADE WILL REIGN SUPREME AGAIN" when bloodbraid elf literally comes down after jace and kicks jace right in the crotch, takes jace's lunch money, and jace is left to bleed out on the sidewalk in agonizing pain.
So, who's everyone's favorite golden girl? I was always a fan of Betty White's charm. She seems like such a nice person. I wish her another 20 years of health, bless her soul.

I understand MvC2 is a horrendously imbalanced game. Yes, characters like Hayato, Thanos (lol no air throw!), Servbot, Dan, and Roll are just so unspeakably bad and yes the Big 4 are heads and shoulders above everyone else. For some games though, balance doesn't make the game fun. It's the gameplay. And MvC2 has amazing gameplay; it's so fast-paced and awesome for adrenaline junkies like me. Even though ~15 characters are actually viable in competitive play out of the 56 character roster, the gameplay always has me coming back for more.
It's the same reason I love Counter-Strike. Out of all the weapons in CS, there are only four that are actually great: the AK, M4, AWP, and Deagle. MAYBE the Galil, Famas, and MP5 if you're strapped for cash. The rest of the weapons are pretty much crap, but balance is not what makes Counter-Strike so fun to play. It's the gameplay that makes it still to this day one of the most popular multiplayer games out there. I play 1.6 regularly even though it's 12+ years old now.
That being said, there are games out there that cannot function well if they are poorly balanced. Magic is one of them, but that doesn't mean all games have to be balanced well to be good games. Gameplay and replay value are very important to me, and it stands out in the games I love to play. Most of them are at least several years old and/or have very small communities, but I don't care about that as much as I care about having fun with something.
Are there folks here who both loved The Hunger Games AND have Halo Reach AND have the DLC pack with Ridgeline? If so, I've made a very faithful recreation of of the arena in the first Hunger Games book, and I'd love to host some matches who are fans of both. The map holds 8 players who all spawn equidistant from the Cornucopia and even has a sort of "upper level" so you can fight from the treetops.

OMG I love The Hunger Games. Still working on book 3 but its so good. When I saw the preview for that my wife and I said, well what the hell is that so we started in on the books and man they have been great. I really hope the movie turns out well.
I would love to see a GOOD game based off of it but generally speaking they make really bad movie games... the idea behind it would make for great gameplay though if someone were to execute it well and build in a nice multiplayer online setup I would really like that.
I too enjoyed the Hunger Games, albeit I find the third book entirely too predictable. I don't think there would really be any way to really execute a game like that well, unless it was just single player. However fewer and fewer companies are making single player games these days (unless the company's name is Bioware or Bethesda) since multiplayer games bring in more money for less work. Meh
Is it weird that I'm frequently disappointed when I go out all day, come back home and go to bed, then wake up the next morning only to find that there's no threads I particularly have any interest in to comment on?
