I wish spreading false rumors that can be confirmed as false was a reportable offense.
What's this in reference to?
Pretty sure it's referring to about Hasbro selling off WotC, which someone recently tried using as a point in the thread concerning prize support for MTGA (over at the mill), but the way it was used was so haphazard it didn't make any sense.
I nearly wanted to respond (to another sub-topic by the same poster), but when it was a response to someone pointing out that "WotC has no inventive to acknowledge the Secondary Market because it turns the Booster Pack system into a Lootbox system, which is under scrutiny now by many governments" in the messiest way that somehow managed to drivel to how WotC refused to yield to counterfeiters by abiding to the RL promise and that they are jumping into online so that people could cheat online instead of offline all in the same paragraph as though it was all tied to booster packs existing, my head literally went "???" and I couldn't even.
Didn't help a later post responding to someone pointing out online/Arena was paper-friendly, it was deviated to WotC being lazy/incompetent and hiring the wrong people who only play cards and don't properly playtest the game because they were hired from the tournament scenes. At that point of "???" in my head I gave up.
I already thought my (admittedly potentially naively-optimistic) choice of believing Arena's success will be beneficial to the overall game in the longer run (on the basis that WotC would be more daring with reprints and willing to "scar" themselves for the paper game's benefit if they had Arena as a profit safety-net) ruffled a few feathers because it's not the "popular response" to be having now since we're being put out of the spotlight for Arena and would invite tedious specific details of the scenario I might need to debate about, but somehow all I see now is one big mess headed every direction with no substance supporting it.

Report it for trolling and let the staff investigate. Technically, you can report any post you feel is bad even if it doesn't neatly fit into one of the rules categories. It's only when you start going crazy with the report system that the mods care.

The ignore feature is great for improving your forum viewing experience. There are a handful of posters who I got consistently annoyed with for whatever reasons, including the kind of thing that's being described here. The occasional broken flow of discussion in a thread is worth the less stressful forum reading.

I kind of always assume we won't be getting tribal legends until they happen kind of a thing. Its unfortunate because clerics are a really cool tribe and I would love to do a Shadowborn Apostle deck focusing on clerics and demons.

Dev2: "That's a great idea! Make sure you give it a low cmc so players can cast it more than once!"

Honestly I would be fairly happy with something along the lines of Master Apothecary for the power level. It would need to probably be something a little more black given my hope being a BW legend but I am not really asking for much other than I want it to be a cleric legend and care about having clerics.

Well.... I bought into another modern deck: Arclight Phoenix. Due to buying into this deck I have essentially also bought into having a standard deck as well so I guess I am also going to have to figure out current standard lol.
Well, Azorius is technically the only guild actually "aligned" with one of my decks since I run Isperia 2.0 (Dimir is about as far removed from Grimgrin as one could imagine, although Surveil was great filtering regardless).
Part of me is tempted to just replace Isperia and go along with Lavinia Lockdown so I could play all my alternate win-cons in peace, but something tells me it would get stale rather quickly if it succeeds, especially if Lavinia actually earns a "reputation" like Narset down the route (at least Lavinia is an easier fit in the 99 than Narset would ever be though).
Gruul might offer a gem for Animar, but I'm doubtful since Animar has so much toys it's so hard for even new cards to argue a case for themselves. Simic stands a vastly improved chance though (well, it's the most powerful pairing in the format...)
Orzhov will feed Karador and Alesha as usual (especially Alesha if Orzhov is headed down the weenie route), as will Rakdos paritally for Alesha.
Just like GoR, I'll probably cherry-pick what I need, my suite is color-balanced, but not entirely in the same direction as the Guilds, so usually the cards hit pretty hard or they outright miss, which makes choosing cards a lot easier though.
I bought a box of ultimate masters from my LGS today. I didn't plan to but I wen't in to find a game for my wife for christmas (yea I buy presents last second). I felt bad for him since its a small shop and he had lots of product he couldn't move for it.
I think my box probably just cleared $400 in value and cost me $300. Topper was Emrakul. Beyond that the highlight was Foil Back to Basics but mostly I just cleared a lot of $10 - $20 cards which lucked out for me as my next highest open was Dark Depths. I did clear 4 mythics non topper included though which seems like a higher count that I normally get.
I guess I will sit on this stuff for a while then see if I can trade / sell off most of the stuff since honestly..... I didn't need any of it but I didn't want my LGS to get super burned sitting on the product.
