Arrived in Vegas for EDC. Holy freaking crap it's hot here. How the locals can stand this I have absolutely no idea. I'd be miserable. Understandable now why EDC is nocturnal. If it happened during the day time I feel people would legitimately die.

And yet entire civilizations lived for thousands of years in those climates. Adaptation is an amazing thing.

I've been to Vegas 3 times for Defcon, and am going again this year.
Every time I wear my heavy, black denim duster.
When I'm outside, which is only really walking from my hotel to the conference center and back, it's pretty bad. But indoors they blast A/C at like 60 degrees so I'm really one of the most comfortable people there.
Plus it gives me badass cred.

We're leaving the field in a week and there are soldiers buying AT&T go phones because they get better service than their regular cell phones. The level of dependency I see it amazing. Maybe it's just because my generation didn't grow up with unlimited plans and fancy phones, but I don't get it.
Holy mother of I missed a bit this past two weeks. I guess working about 60 hours a week does that. But Im back and only in the biggest deck building urge I've had in ages... Time to get creative.

At least it's not humid there.
But yeah, 108 is pretty hot, at least you went in June and not July though.

Also, my 3D Printer just suddenly decided to stop working.
What kind do you have?
XYZ DaVinci 1.0. At first I was having problems getting filament to stick to the print bed, no big deal, I'm sure there are ways around it. Then I noticed that I would print something, it would gunk up from not sticking to the bed, i would cancel the project, clean it off, press print again and it would say "Printer disconnected", and now when I tell it to print it just blacks out, pops back up and says "printer error".

Oath of the Gatewatch; the set that caused the competitive community to freak out over Basic Lands.
Just for kicks, try renaming it to something under 16 char. Might not do anything but worth a shot.
EDIT: and if that doesn't work, try re-exporting the file and/or running model repair service. It sounds like the issues you are having are similar to others' who were able to get up and running after repairing the file, shortening the filename, or re-exporting.

MM2015 booster boxes are getting to around $180 shipped on eBay. I'm really curious what Wizard's take away is from this set. Do they think this was a success or a failure based on sales and GP turnout?

Ubiquitous gripes about value aside, I've heard that the limited environment was a whole lot better than I expected to be. I'm not sure if it's being drafted as much as MM1 (actually, with my LGS as my source of info, it absolutely isn't) but it seems to be enjoyed and they're probably getting a good deal of revenue out of that.
On a tangentially related note, did anyone here ever participate in Conspiracy drafts? I'm curious about the performance of Worldknit and Double Stroke. I've just added Worldknit to my Cube and I'm interested in what it will do (it will show up more often in a 360 Cube than it would in the average Cons draft, I'm sure). I've been playing with Stroke for a while and... it's the best card in the Cube, I think. Double Hymn, Cruise, or Bolt is just insane for a card you don't have to put in your 40. I don't know if Cons had less impactful spells, but I wonder how it didn't just run away with games.

I've drafted a ton of Conspiracy as well as a Conspiracy cube and a Pauper cube using the conspiracy cards. I can say for sure that Double Stroke is just OK in Conspiracy only draft, but very good outside of that.
Worldknit has straight up ruined drafts a couple of times when someone took it pack 1 and proceeded to cherry pick everything decent from the adjacent drafters. It was so unpleasant that we considered removing it from the cube. Ultimately we decided to keep it after we noticed that in pack 2 and pack 3 it has tended to go completely undrafted.

I'm not sure if "ruinous or useless" is really the performance level I want from a card. I'll give it a few test runs and see if I come to the same conclusion. Thanks for the input.

You want a list of things we've done for thousands of years that are stupid and backwards?

Not really. I don't have that much time.

Apparently 60 hours makes people less productive in total than 40 hours.

Not at all, does that matter?
Because I already had this one printing prior:

Seems it was a corrupt/bad file, because it's raising the bed right now.
It's still doing the "Printer Disconnect" bullcrap though. Easily worked around, but annoying.
Thanks
Yep but its hospital work so its only 5 12 hour days...
