Not sure what you mean by that, but there are actually quite good reasons for all 3 languages. Finnish and Swedish are BOTH official languages here and most working places require you to be able to speak both, since our in every bureau/agency/anything run by government is forced to serve everyone with both languages. And English since you guys exist.
Hmm. Well during the Soviet Union era (especially under Stalin) knowing Russian was a stepping stone in elevating your societal standing. Even if you were Ukrainian, or Belorussian, etc, if you knew Russian you could climb the ladder much faster and much higher. That's what I was getting at. Is that clearer?
I was gonna post something stupid, but then I realized that I'm just a late bloomer when it comes to certain things. I took a couple years of spanish in high and didn't find it fun, but I'm interested in Russian and am a good bit more mature so here's to that lol.
Run Cataclysm and Death Cloud too. Might as well win while you're making everyone upset.
Well the idea is that once I'm in a position to nuke the lands, I can rind my board state to victory. Getting rid of my creatures and artifacts would severely hinder that.
You play the most obnoxious UB Stax deck ive seen and bash on these cards? I thought you hated fun as much as me.
Double, really. Gals is trolling Justice who is trolling Cryogen. And Gals is right, Justice has no right to call anyone out. And I think you should run Armageddon, but maybe make sure people know you run it. It's a nasty surprise as far as a change in deck styles. You use it to win a game by surprise and then get ganged up on the rest of the night.
Hey Modus... I actually really liked your Purphoros deck, but I recognize it's not the play style you like. It was a total challenge to play against, and as Gals pointed out, we (I) had opportunities to stop it. But you would be playing archenemy games each time.
I wouldn't really call it aggro as much as burn, because that's what you're doing really, using creatures to burn people out. And like any powerful burn deck, the meta can shift to solve it.

I thought it was strange and interesting how 95% of the deck was the same, but simply switching the general from Gisela to Purphoros and adding a small handful of token generators turned it from an effective (but fun) deck into a ruthless, game-hating monster. I think it's because I don't ever run powerhouse generals/decks like Azami, Zur, Sharuum, etc. that I experienced such a shift in the tone of the deck with Purphoros, and ended up not liking how it completely dominated games and ruined people's fun. Some people like being the guy at the table that everybody guns for. That kind of hot seat makes me very anxious, even though I know I'm just playing a game with friends.
The answer may be to put him in the 99. A. I won't always have access to him, and not always on turn 4. "Oh look, it's Purphoros again" on turn 4 (every game) was the main indication that something was up. B. Restoring the deck to not care about devotion will make him more vulnerable, and thus, less oppressive if/when he does show up. I think it will put him in the same category as a Sylvan Primordial or a Deadeye Navigator, where you see them hit the board, and you know you have to deal with them, but once it's done, it isn't so bad anymore.

So today, I traded an entire Melek, Izzet Paragon deck (it wasn't that good and didn't include expensive stuff) for a Voice of Resurgence. Best idea ever lol.
One of the things I didn't trade was Ral Zarek, and instantly my friend (named Zarek) wanted it. So, I traded it to him for Maelstrom Wanderer+other awesome staples. I have my next EDH deck ready to build now
Now that I think about it, Balancing Act would probably work well in Karador in lieu or or in addition to Armageddon. Discarding doesn't bother me too much, so even being ahead will give me another sac outlet and even kick start something like a Llark combo.
No, but here aren't that many. Spell crumple and hinder are the only counterspells, Oblation and chaos warp are the only pinpoint, terminus and another white wrath whose name escapes me, and you've got one or two blue jellyfish thingy creatures that can. Did I miss any?
Spin into Myth, which I think it under-played.
I expect some of the people who choose to run the new god cards as generals to join into the chorus of people who whine about tuck spells.

Maybe try Catastrophe instead? It's good whether you're ahead or behind.

That was the one I was trying to think of! I knew there was a destroy X or destroy lands, but I thought it was a cycling card, and figured it was just Decree of Annihilation even though I swore there was a white one too.
Quite a while back I found a Horde Magic thread that linked a blog with custom designed zombie Planeswalkers specifically for use in a horde deck (they had abilities that worked with the number of waves and so on).
I've been trying to find it again, but not having any luck. Anyone else seen this and know where it is?
There is this older couple in my neighborhood. They have this really old black mutt that looks like a lab/shepherd mix that they have been taking for walks every day for the last few years. I see them at least twice a day walking him around. In that time his health has gotten worse - slower, stiffer, taking more time to lay in the grass and just stick his nose in the air. If it wasn't for the couple taking such good care of him I think he might have been in pain and I would have put him under 2 years ago.
Today I see the man and woman straining to carry a big red blanket with something heavy in it to their car. They are silent and I was about to cry. I don't know why this one got to me since I want to see all the other dogs in my neighborhood go away, but it did. I think part of it might have been the tempo at which they were carrying his body - it was the same slow and steady pace they walked him for years. Or, that for the first time I saw how they were at a pretty similar place in their lives as the dog.

When I mentioned about my plans to build Purphoros deck IRL to my friend, his reaction was
"That's a bad idea, I mean that God is good as 99 of Krenko, bad he is just a lackluster otherwise"
"No, I'm not going to build a Krenko, but Purphoros aggro/burn with things like Norin and Ignus"
"... but still, he's not going to do anything. Too slow and noneffective to be a good deck."

This is what you want people to think. They said the same thing about Pristaxcontrombmodruu the first time I showed up at a table. Then I "just got really lucky" that someone milled me into a Replenish. Then I was lucky for getting a TwincastEnduring Ideal.

I think that card is absolute trash. It's far too expensive for something that is only really useful vs generals.
It's over-priced, but I've found it helpful at times.
corrected it for you

WUBRGPauper Battle BoxWUBRG ... and why I am not a fan of Wayne Reynolds' Illustrations.
All I can say that after seeing those PW's is that they are really, really unbalanced. I mean, +2 is a removal AND produces 5/5 token...
Also, I'm not sure if it's bad that I'm tempted to build a Purhphoros EDH. A GOOD Purphoros EDH.
Go for it, but don't screw up
