Had a crazy turn today : ). I'm at 10. They are hating me out because my bolas deck sometimes do crazy ****. That and i just layed down Body Double targetting the sharuum players Sen Triplets. We are 4 players atm. Before the upkeep i'm seeing that i'm pretty screwed. I have Mana Geyser, and a Wild Richochet in my hand. And i have an inkwell leviathan in play. Meaning i have to large threats. All other players are at 30ish and i'm thinking i need to topdeck a cruel ultimatum, but first over to upkeep.
I choose opponent nr 3, he is playing 5 color and har an inkwell leviathan and a razormane masticore in play. Meaning he has 7 damage on me no matter what, and the sharuum player can get in for 5 as well, which would drop me to 0. However Opponent nr 3 has 3 cards in hand. Wild Ricochet, Banefire and Knollspine Dragon. *I grin*.
Draw, i see a Sword of Light and Shadow. I quickly tap out all my mana. 14 in total, and play mana geyser for the awesome amount of 15, then play my wild ricochet on it, and my opponents wild ricochet. 5+8 = 13 mana. Meaning i get 15*3 mana. 45 mana. Means i can shoot the sharuum player with Banefire for about 33. Play Sword of Light and Shadow on my Sen Triplets, and drop the Knollspine Dragon, drawing me 33 cards (one of which is the Reliquary Tower) and then swinging for 5 earning me 3 life (against opponent nr 1 which has 10 mana tapped after mind slavering the sharuum player).
So now i have 33 cards, one player is out. One is left with no cards in hand for his masticore. And i can no longer be lethaled out by the Inkwell Leviathan. + I have a sen triplets + a 7/5 dragon of my own, + the inkwell Leviathan i have as a blocker. They all got wrathed the next turn, But a nicol bolas with greaves the next turn finishes things off quite quickly. At least with 33 cards in hand. And i didn't even have any chance of winning the game before that!
My Rasputin deck dominated an 8 man game last night.
I dont have top or ring in my deck, so I was disappointed to enlightened tutor to play a turn 2 Soothsaying, which I used for the next few turns to dig to hit my land drops.
I played Mind's Eye after being forced to drop cards from Rix Maddi (no cards in hand at this point).
I play my General next turn, draw 6 cards, then blink my general.
Draw for my turn...Bribery.
I play Bribery for Karavek, and then play Time Stretch.
Took me awhile, but the game was completely mine after that. (An opponent death cloud'd, but I played Ghostway)

This meant I was up to many insane mana/creature shenannigans. I was spending quite a bit a turn with the joiner and flashing in more and more board position. Now, this, as you may expect, was drawing the attention of the removal crowd. I had mana, but the top card of my library was a land, and I didn't have any counters left in hand, having already used them up keeping this position so strong. An opponent of mine casts decree of pain, which I do not like. I sacrifice the sakura-tribe elder in a hail-mary situation in response, and flip up draining whelk for the lulz on top of my library.
I do recognize that this was the perfect situation for me, and I lose waaay too much, but the above is exactly why I play EDH. Those rare moments of win remind me how much I love this game.

You know you have played M:TG too much when you find yourself calling shotgun "in response" to your friends calling shotgun.
You know your friends have played M:TG too much when you get it.
not a terribly "crazy" play, just an insane opening hand that, at least for my deck, only happens in hypothetical situations.
T1: Land, Sol Ring, Mind Stone
T2: Land, Darksteel Ingot, Umezawe's Jitte
T3: Land, Quicksilver Amulet, Whispersilk Cloak
T4: Land, Akroma (via amulet), equip cloak, swing!
equip jitte next turn and so on and so on. no not a crazy combo that won right off, but it was nuts to be swinging with a cloaked Akroma on T4, and a cloaked Akroma plus Jitte on T5...
I was playing with my Teneb deck, I'm at 2 life but I have a Blazing Archon out and my opponent has Moat, so no attacks are really getting through.
The opponent before me drops an Iron Maiden, but I am still in the clear, because I have 4 cards in hand. Then he plays Timetwister, the game is over for me, theres only one possible answer in the deck, I draw my six cards, nothing, then draw the seventh...
So I was playing EDH (Wort) with Charm_Master3125 (Kresh) in a back-and-forth game. There were several times where I was one turn away from taking a huge turn for a really big (X > 100) burn spell. But there was always a solve (Lavalanche, Savage Twister, &c). So I'm at 16 life staring down a 14/14 Kresh, a 13/13 Wurm token forced to block, as he also has a Rhox in play. So I play an Apocalypse Hydra for X = 25 off just Heartbeat of Spring and a ton of land. Then, stupid crap happens.
A couple turns later, I play a Feral Hydra for X = 36, then he plays an Apocalypse Hydra of his own (for X = 17). So now I'm on a clock but for some unknown reason I don't think to do the same to him. We go back and forth for a while, and he jokes about an EOT Cloudthresher being "tiny". Considering there were three 30+ power hydras in play and a 27/27 Kresh, he was right.
Then after getting a few tokens from replaying Wort for 12, I decide to swing with everyone but two of Wort's tokens. He blocks the big guys, leaving Wort and a goblin open. I play and conspire Vitalizing Wind, which is copied thanks to Izzet Steam Maze...+21/+21 to all my creatures. Wort is about to kill him with general damage...but my hopes are dashed when he plays the Soul's Fire he's been holding for over ten turns.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
that was a great game, and I just LOVE when I can slow-roll people with soul's fire.
one time my opponent was playing reaper king as his general against my kresh deck, I have soul's fire in hand and the mana to cast it but kresh is nowhere big enough.
My opponent promptly starts his karmic guide/eternal witness/reveillark/angel of despair/sac outlet combo to lock me out of the game, but for whatever reason blows up all the lands I have first (I annouce I float all the mana, of course) and even though he tosses loxodon hierarch into the mix, kresh is getting bigger faster than he's gaining life. Soul's fire kills him at like a million life

We were playing 6-player EDH with Planechase. I decided to keep a one-lander (Dreadship Reef, at that) with Sol Ring. I'm going first, and the opening plane turns out to be Eloren Wilds (everything taps for double mana). I play the Dreadship Reef, tap for two and play Sol Ring, tap it for three and play the Coalition Relic I just drew, tap it for two and play Rhystic Study using the one mana I had floating. Then I planeswalk away.
I won, but the crazy opener didn't end up mattering because everyone else just died to Naar Isle.
However, I don't understand how he killed a player, then targeted that play for card draw. Dead player = no longer in game = non-targetable.
Seems we missed that one ^^,. But i would only have used one less mana, drawn one less card and hit him with sen triplets as he just had a sharuum in play for attackers. ^^,. So even though we had a playmistake i'd draw one less card and go for the win. ^^,.
I'm playing my personal favorite general, Jhoira of the Ghitu, against a friend of mine playinggg, I'm not even sure what he was playing to tell the truth..
Anyways, our life totals are about even and I've got an Eternal Dominion with 2 time counters on it, if it lands I'm in good shape. My turn comes, I take off a counter, sit with a land in my hand or something, pass the turn.
He drops a Runed Halo, names my Dominion, I can't counter it, and we laugh. My turn comes, Eternal Dominion resolves and I have no targets -ever- and I can't play any more spells the rest of the game..
This is what it basically went like: My friend kept saving me from my other friend's Vorosh by tapping it out every turn while I built my forces after being raped. I got a Gleancrawler out eventually but it was no use. Next turn I entwined Tooth and Nail to bring out Broodmama and Dread for the lockdown. After getting a token, I recurred my Broodmate with Hell's Caretaker. I quickly finished my friend using Vorosh as his general. Then, when I went in for the kill on my other friend with lavalanche, I accidentally didn't pay enough mana and didn't kill his shrouded and unblockable Stoic. However, next turn I Violent Ultimatumed his ass and then I had to scoop because I had to leave
I was one mana short of pulling this play, which would have been pretty sweet! Figured I'd post it 'cause it's fun to see what crazy unexpected stuff can happen in EDH.
If I had one more mana, I would have played Wildfire, to which he would have activated Dralnu and played Mannequin on his Ixidron to turn all creatures face down, thus saving himself from sac'ing four permanents to Wildfire damage on Dralnu. In response to that, I would have discarded FtK to Psychatog and Mannequined it back, targeting Dralnu. Netting him -8 permanents (four of which would be lands), me -4 lands, and wiping the board. Wish I woulda had that extra land…

Your spell never cast due to not having a legal target. So you could still cast spells, but the dominion would remain exiled.
Was it by any chance Spirit of the Night (aka Black Akroma)?
Akroma is White Spirit of the Night

Isn't the triplets legendary? How did clone survive?

Body Double copies a card in the graveyard, Sen Triplets was already dead.
However, I don't understand how he killed a player, then targeted that play for card draw. Dead player = no longer in game = non-targetable.
I managed to have out: Tidewater minion, viridian joiner, imperious perfect, teferi, mage of zhalfir, magus of the future, momir vig, simic visionary, verdant embrace (on joiner), sunken hope, sakura-tribe elder, and skullmulcher.

Swords to Plowshares, end of turn I plow my own soldier token, then topdeck Primal Command, and come back to win it.

How did you equip the Jitte to the shrouded Akroma?
I think he meant to say he equipped Jitte first, then Whispersilk Cloak.
^^this ... oops i mistyped it
I've also had this combo out a few times: Ghost Council of Orzhova (my general), Adarkar Valkyrie and Archon of Justice for some repeatable permanent removal

I'm playing my Sedris, the Traitor King deck, and my opponent is playing Dralnu, Lich Lord. He has Reiver Demon and Dralnu in play, with an Ixidron and Makeshift Mannequin in his graveyard. And he had cast DSC and Obliterate already.
