Funny thing about Tarkir, the sheer amount of green card draw, and practically all of it's useful. Cue blue qq'ing about how green's stealing their bit.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Withering Wisps is a Pestilence that costs one CMC less in return for requiring snow to operate. I feel like CMC 3 and 4 is where Mono-Black begins to hit its stride, and this is no exception.
I'm a huge fan of Mental Misstep in this format. Nothing shuts down a turn one Sol Ring explosive start like countering it before you even take a turn.

I've had it backfire before, but a well timed bedlam can help turn an unfavorable game on its head. It also works well with a variety of generals such as narset, gisela, and aurelia.
tornado. I pay a ridiculous amount of life in my yeva deck, but this thing usually bags four or five problematic permanents before it dies. Also, meltdown for those same sol ring starts...
Netherborn Phalanx I've never seen anyone else run this card. It does so much work esspecially if you run a d eck that can easily recur it. Opponent has a bunch of tokens cast it and make them pay, opponent wont Be affected by it, transmute and find awesome cards like Grave Titan, Thunderfoot Baloth or Elspeth, Sun's Champion! All around solid card.
Nonblue counterspells, like Pyroblast, Avoid Fate, Lapse of Certainty, etc. are often great, when people see the blue player tapped out and try to go for the win.
Bound // Determined is amazing in my Child of Alara deck. For 3BG at instant speed, I can sweep the board and get 5 cards back in my hand from my 'yard. Alternatively, I can force through counterspells (with a cantrip) for GU. Of course, Bound exiles itself, but the deck also runs Pull from Eternity; I've had games where I cast Bound upwards of 5 times.
In the same Child deck, Worthy Cause is a pretty good budget substitute for Diamond Valley. It's also not limited to once-per-turn like Valley.
Steal Enchantment is probably one of my favorite cards in my Thada deck. Mostly because of the sheer number of times the word "enchantment" or a variant of it pops up in the card's Oracle text, but it's also not something most people expect to see.
Evolution Charm to give my mono green commander unexpected flying or to give an opponent's creature flying to kill with my mono green anti flying spells/abilities. It also serves as a land search and graveyard retrieval. Overall I find it to be one of my best mono green options/techs.
Supply // Demand in bant. It is surprisingly useful as it can tutor up a lot more than people would think and has saved me many a time. You can grab supreme verdict, qasali pridemage in addition to other things for relatively low cost. It is also a card that only costs a buck, so it is good if you are on a budget.
Possibility Storm. I especially like using this in a deck with only two sorceries or only two instants, so I know what I am going to hit when I cast a spell. I especially like all my opponents' counterspells missing. Stack your deck with things that care about spells being cast, like Primeval Bounty, and profit.
Helldozer wearing Illusionist's Bracers is a nasty little machine. You destroy two targeted lands for BBB, and as long as you make sure one of them is nonbasic you can untap him and do it again. In mono-B with some mana doublers you can destroy half the lands your opponent's have in play in one turn while leaving yours untouched. It surprises me that I never see the dozer ran more often.
Instill Energy is an all-star card in my GW enchantress deck. It grants haste (though only to attack), but also lets me untap the creature. I cast Dramoka, cast Instill Energy, get to draw a few cards off my enchantress triggers, then attack with Dramoka, then untap her to defend.
With the changes in commander regarding mana, Grinning Totem (one of my favorites) will be seeing more action in the future. It's just another way to say "no" to certain things.

I can see why, somebody goes to nuke all of the land, and if you have enough mana save certain lands while other lands get wrecked. Right?
Oh definitely. One could reason something about Terra Eternal but I don't want to give my opponents that benefit of indestructible lands even though its cheaper.

It could be used to gain a political swing in a game where somebody is "trigger happy" with land destruction spells. Including one in a deck couldn't hurt. It's better to have something, then need it and not have it.

I concur about its political value as well. As it can give you some good leverage.
