Thrun, the Last Troll = Green voltron! Troll shroud + double regen protection saves him from many conventional sweepers too. A beasty upgrade over Troll Ascentic too + can't be counter (take that blue!). Now where's that rancor of mine ...
Wow, so the green creature tutor is confirmed. Seems... amazing.
Bonehoard seems amazing as well. 4 for a potentially huge guy (in the right deck) and then you can make any of your other dudes huge? Not quite Lord of Extinction big, as it only counts creature cards, but still.
Can't really understand the excitement over the Corruptor or Red Sun's Zenith. Infect is kind of a downside unless you're running poison, and a sorcery-speed Blaze with a Magma Spray effect tacked on isn't particularly exciting.
As a connoisseur of fun, interesting matches, I still to this day have not been able to craft that "perfect deck"; the deck that I can play and have fun over time, doesn't get boring, but simultaneously is fun to play against. I honestly don't think it exists. It's like a unicorn. A ninja unicorn.
I wouldn't call it absolutely confirmed. At least, not quite enough to add to the spoiler. There may be some important detail that we are as yet unaware of, and which could potentially change the functionality quite dramatically.
To be honest, I don't think that the Orb actually confirms a card, most of the time. Usually, all it does is to say that "the card may exist".
I don't think Bonehoarder makes big enough creatures to constitute a credible threat on its own -- if it does, the deck must probably be built around it. I suppose it could be a weapon of choice for Voltrons but I am pretty sure that there are better stuff
As for the Viridian Corrupter, it is usually a strictly better Viridian Shaman in monogreen, something like a mini Acidic Slime, if you will. Artifact mana ramp and utility being common in EDH, the Corrupter will likely displace many Viridian Shaman and Uktabi Orangutan (arguably, even for some G/x decks too).
The Red Sun's Zenith is a nice Disintegrate effect which will displace some other blaze effects in existing red decks.
If that green "Beacon" tutor is indeed real, I'm just going to abuse Primeval Titan and Genesis Wave so bad that I'll have people crying for at least one of the cards to be banned by the end of 2011.

Leave Genesis Wave alone! What did it very do to you!

Im glad someone else saw this the way i did.
Thrun is going to be a beating, and honestly, is the first legendary released in a long while that, once spoiled i thought "that could make a beastly deck."
Holy ganache! How will clique decks adapt to trolls in their new 1v1 environment?
My thoughts exactly, Thrun gets around counters, is a faster beat stick than clique, and can't be bounced very easily. In any case, I'm gonna go ahead and post a sample mono-green Thrun voltron deck for Multiplayer in this thread ;). Happy hunting.
Often times i'll have to make a choice to ramp or to play Omnath, Locus of Mana when i get my 3 land. Now i won't really have to make a choice. Solid General.
Holy ganache! How will clique decks adapt to trolls in their new 1v1 environment?
That was one of my first thoughts as well. They can't counter him, they can't bounce him and subsequently Clique him and the Troll is a faster clock than the Clique itself. Their only widely played real answer is Evacuation. Thrun is pretty sweet.

I, for one, will be snapping it up for my Azusa ramp though most ramp variant will probably be getting it. Green creature means that you won't be tutoring Eldrazis with it but Terastadon and Woodfall Primus, anybody? I'd even go so far as to call it the budget Natural Order and even then, it can be argued that it may outclass Natural Order!
So far, the green decks are really getting some love from this set; at least three of the five green cards revealed so far are practically EDH playables and this is not to mention the uber-awesome Genesis Wave already offered in this block. It may sound greedy of me but moar please?
Whoah. What a nasty new tutor! I was actually thinking we were probably due for another Chord of Calling/Natural Order. Though, I don't think it'll replace either for me, more tutoring into play is always nice.
I'm liking the new myr who gives Artifacts flash, most of the permanents in my Sharuum deck are Artifacts, barring guys like arcum daggson and grand architect.
That is a nifty trick. Keeps those lands untapped, a very nice trick. Don't know what deck I'd play it in. Closest I have to an artifact deck is Thada. Oh, well, and perhaps Glissa.
Green creature means that you won't be tutoring Eldrazis with it but Terastadon and Woodfall Primus, anybody?
I'd rather just tutor up Primeval Titan instead, unless there was a card that had to be killed with Primus/Tera. Primeval Titan is just way too powerful of a creature to not tutor up and abuse.
In fact, I'm just going to say this right now: Primeval Titan is the best creature in multiplayer EDH.

Venser + Clique to bottom
Mindbreak Trap to delay
Evacuation/Upheaval/etc + Clique to bottom
Also, you cast this guy turn 4 without any ramp. That means you swing turn 5 (4), 6 (8), 7 (12), 8 (16), 9 (20), 10 (21+).
Clique casts EoT turn 3, starts swinging turn 4 (3), 5 (6), 6 (9), 7(12), 8(15), 9(18), 10 (21). Which means on the play, all the clique deck has to do is keep them from increasing his power and you can outrace them to General damage.

2 and 3 might work, but 1 doesn't, as Venser targets...
Most of the time, in my Teneb or Stonebrow deck, this will be a 7cc Primeval Titan. But of course, it has countless other uses. The Rhys deck will, of course, use this as yet another way to get turn 2 Heritage Druid.
But yeah, guess I need x3 of these.

Venser doesn't target when it psuedo-counters a spell, so you can do that on it and then Clique it away. Upheavel is banned but Evacuation certainly gets around it.

I absolutely agree with this statement. I have been saying that he is, by far, the best multiplayer EDH creature. He just gets you so far ahead you pretty much win the game if he stay alive long enough.

Of course, I forgot about the "spell" part - thanks
I am looking forward to building a deck around Thrun, but hope he comes down from the $20 he is currently at SCG

No fooling. I love Vedalken Orrery but if Vedalken Orrery had flash and was a dude AND Reveillarkable... I'll try it out!

10.) No taxing cards.
