Unfortunately, Ground Seal just isn't a very good card. Sure it cantrips, but it doesn't protect you From the big 3, I.E. Relic, Bojuka Bog or Tormod's Crypt, as they either don't target or target players. Certainly helps against Withered Wretch though.
Around here Phyrexian Furnace is the big one, largely due to me playing it in everything. Also things like Shred Memory show up occaisionally and Withered Wretch is huge.
Coolest thing about Ground Seal is how it shuts off everyone elses GY recursion. Running it as a hate card cantrip and being able to mitigate it's effect on yourself is great.

Except it shuts down Teneb, or any deck using cards like Victimize, Beacon of Unrest etc. It's meant to be an anti-shenanigans card
Oh, why yes, I WOULD like to be able to evoke Reveilark from the graveyard, thanks for asking.
This just plain wins. The Evoke shenanigans this guy lets you pull are ridiculous. Also, like someone mentioned, constantly recurring Eternal Witness seems really powerful too. He's never going to cost more then 5 mana (if he would, you don't have enough guys in your 'yard to bother casting him) and there's so many neat effects you can use him with, this most glaring of which is Evoke. I wish he was a little bigger than 3/4, specifically on the rear end, but it'll do.
I have a friend with a GWB dredge deck with Teneb as an unused general. I bet this makes him happy. The picture reminds of WoW, which makes it that much better.
Obviously a lot of those are replaceable cards in the combo too Im not thinking to clearly that was the first thing to come to mind. But Black has enough tutors and the cards themselves are just ridiculous enough to not become immediate targets...
I see a lot of potential in that I can play Karador for cheap...helps in the recasting of him late in the game.

Except that Karador only allows you to play one creature from your Graveyard per turn?
Also, who here's disappointed that there are no more new previews? I am! Its funny that they didn't even release a schedule for previews.
I plan to run Karador over Teneb as a commander when I get one (unless the third BGW commander is better). I really don't cast Teneb that often, since it's so rare that I can actually profitably attack with a mere 6/6 flier and guarantee a hit. This guy, on the other hand, should be very cheap to cast, and simply gives me more options for reanimating my guys. At the very least, I intend to try him out, but I have a feeling he'll end up being a permanent replacement. It's just a pity the regular-sized card won't be foil...
Yeah, I like Karador better. More agressive decks or decks that like reanimating giant things will like Teneb better. But I like reanimating littler utility creatures since that lets me play politics until I get a giant Living Death or something.
I plan to continue rolling with Teneb. I don't know if Karador will even make it into my deck. The way that I'm currently running I have a lot of control and few creatures of my own. I have almost no fat, so it's nice for my to have the big evasive body on hand when I want it.
That said, I could see a very creature heavy rock style deck with a lot of sacrificable card advantage creatures doing very well with him. He'll probably make a much better 1v1 general than Teneb, especially if you pack some Persist creatures.
If I had a bw knight tribal deck I'd play them both in it.
Yeah if only someone had thought about running a knight themed Commander deck that included the colors white and black. Lol both of those knights have a home once I get ahold of them. The only thing that would absolutely rock more is if the bwr wedge involved a knight legend! Omg I would cream myself!!!
This new stuff has made me feel increasingly uneasy about confining new card discussion to this one thread. However, nothing is changing just yet, so until further notice, a friendly reminder: do not post Karador decks or otherwise discuss him outside of this thread.
I'd like the Mirran Crusader in a WW Weenies build with Captain of the Watch, Knight Exemplar, Benalish Commander, Cruade, Kemba, and Raksha. The general would be subject to debate. I see plenty of applications for a doublestriker with protection from black removal.
The Phyrexian Crusader I'm not excited about in EDH. It seems.....well.....better as a supporting role, and a fringe card. The infect and first strike is nice but I'd just have to see. Maybe some +power cards and unblockability via cards that read "tap: target creature with power 2 or less is unblockable this turn" would work. This strategy would almost have to be limited to BU or GBU however.

Really? I would have thought most people would think the opposite, considering the Phyrexian crusader will kill you in 5 hits while the Mirran Crusader will take 10

Exactly, but Double Strike is a very, very powerful tool. An unblocked Mirran will deal 4 a turn, unbuffed, and can take down things twice its size with no repercussions. Chances are, in a WW build, there's going to be Crusade, Marshall's Anthem etc. Possibly a 4/4 Double Striker? Maybe more? Pro-Black is awesome, pro-green is not. It cannot recieve anything fun, not even a giant growth. No bear umbras, etc. I think that this is the biggest drawback, no green auras. However, pro-green fatties is awesome.
The Phyrexian one just feels like its competing with stuff, at least to me. Maybe its because I view black as broken card draw, creature kill, graveyard recursion. In a 1BB slot, I feel like there's just something better. I could mimic vat a Liliana's Specter and have a Lili Caress and Megrim on the field for a possibly more "reliable" damage engine in mono B. I think the Phyrexian one's value will be in a UB or UBx build where it can get pumped or unblockable. That's the quickest utilization I see for it, besides blocking/powering through some powerful stuff. It's not pro-green, which means it can still be beat down by the multitude of beefy green fatties (Read: Terastodon, Gaea's Revenge, Omnath, Chameleon Colossus, Krosan Colossus etc.etc.etc.
Yeah, the black one seems like the likelier card to see play in EDH, in my opinion. Poison is still just ten, whereas damage is 40+. If infect gets better (and obviously, it only can get better in the next two sets), then EDH poison will become very viable.
The question is: will we see a BG Infect legend?

Yeah, my first thought when I saw these guys was "Print us a BW tribal knight legend!"
Also, I really hope the UBG legend will include the word "Proliferate", although I know it's a long shot.
