I think that some archetypes (lord windgrace, 5 color dragons, 5 color sliver, breya artifact and so on) got many new toys, while others got nothing.
No they didn't. Morophon is the closest we get to one but even my current impression is "Kinda at a late point of the game to be discounting my dragons aren't you little buddy?"
Talismans also tap for colorless, and can make mana by themselves while the signets require another mana source to activate. As far as prices, it's always a bit of a game of what will stay at its preorder price, what will drop, and what will rise. For me, if there's stuff I want at $5 or below I just grab it as it might go down a couple of dollars, or it could go way up. For cards that hit the ground at high prices I tend to wait. Only spendy cards I'll prob jump on from this set are the swords as I don't see those going down in price much. Sadly.
I don't get why everyone is excited about the talismans when we have the signets.
Yeah prismatic vista is awesome, but right is almost as pricey as a fetch, so why would i take it?
Same for the horizon lands, they are so expensive... are they really worth the high price?
Because redundancy is awesome, especially in 2-color enemy decks.
They kind of are, kind of not. It's not a priority pick-up, but if you like me swap cards between decks so you can run expensive cards everywhere, then yes, they're an awesome pick-up as they go in a lot of decks

That's kinda like asking why one would play Negate if they can play Counterspell. You are now able to run two 2 mana ramp artifacts that reliably colour fix.

If you are running morphon then you really want to run it
Maybe, but my deck is pretty fast without it. I don;t even need Morophon but i am running him anyway (Trust me it will be damn near impossible to remove any card for dragonspeaker shaman. He is not valuable to the deck (Already my Ramos, dragon engine and Steel hellkite could be cast of free, now i have a way to remove the cost of colors too. (not all, but helm of the host can fix that)

who still runs dragonspeaker shaman in a dragon deck?
People who like to cast their dragons on turn 4, I'd wager.

Hey guys wanna hear about my turn 2 Dragonlord Ojutai thanks to Exploration...Wait ok don't call the cops on me I won't do it in public I'll go away fine
People who like to cast their dragons on turn 4, I'd wager.
The way wotc has been printing dragons, primarily at the 5-6 range, I think makes having a cost reducer on 3 a lot less appealing, especially in an ur-dragon deck where 5-drop dragons could be cast t4 anyway, and you're only accelerating 6-drop dragons by one turn. That sort of curve incentivizes more 2 mana accelerants, rather than 3 mana accelerants.
I also just think it looks bad compared to, say, worn powerstone, because it's a creature. The only circumstance the cost reduction is better is when you're casting multiple dragons a turn, which coupled with shaman being a creature means that if you're doing that, you're probably overcommitting into a board wipe. Given how board-focused dragons are generally, I'd be wary to run creature-based ramp for fear of getting savagely wrecked by the first board wipe to come along, and would prefer the safer route of mana rocks or ramp spells.
Not to say it can't be run, but I think the existence of the ur dragon as a commander, and the quantity of strong 5-6 drop dragons printed in recent years makes dragonspeaker shaman a lot weaker than it used to be.

That may be. I just feel it is a wasted slot these days, no need to run him when you have urza's incubator, herald's Horn, The Immortal Sun and my General The Ur-Dragon for my cost reduction (Along with Morophon now) I also have thsing that can copy those reductions.
Cost reducing for me is still kinda strong just because I leave more lands untapped for say, a Swan Song or a Teferi's Protection. In general though I just try to go for a mix of all of ways to keep my play fluid and fast at any axis. Putting all chips in say, land ramp may seem safe until Ashiok happens and I find myself wondering why they're even my favorite MTG character anymore.
So between changelings and the new card, is there enough ninjas for a Yuriko tribal deck?

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
So three new Chandra’s of increasing rarity curtesy of Gizmodo coming in core 20. The rare and uncommon one seems fine but the mythic ones plus is kind of scary. You’re basically guaranteed to get one off since she’s uncounterable and they stack so every turn you’re increasing the damage. Seems like it could be scary if you can keep her around a few turns. Especially since she goes straight to 8 loyalty.
The mythic one is probably borderline most of the time. The floor is either a glacially slow clock, overcosted small sweeper, or bad removal spell. The high loyalty and the uptick for emblem are admittedly great and probably the most inevitable clock we've ever seen - aside from a non-countering counterspell or a stifle effect, there's going to be at least one emblem on each opponent. If you can protect it long enough to get multiple emblems and expect the gmae to go for at least a few more turns, it's reasonable. 5-7 damage to each opponent for 6 mana isn't a good rate, but it's not horrible and the inevitability makes it better. In most metas I've been a part of, it's probably pretty mediocre.
All of that said, I love the card and I'm jamming it into more decks than I should. It reminds me a lot of Obsidian Fireheart, which is another card I like a lot and play more than the power dictates. Small, inevitable damage is a lot of fun.
