Oh, man. I'm so bummed Soulherder isn't green. If it was, you could put it into play via Woodland Bellower, then blink the Bellower at end of turn, getting another 3-drop. From there, you could continue to blink the Bellower every end step, finding new 3-drops, or blink whatever 3-drops the Bellower put into play off its ability. That would have totally been wild.

WUBRGMr. Bones' Wild RideGRBUW Trap your friends in an endless game with this 23-card combo!
Soulherder is probably my favorite card from this set.
I'm on the hype train for Morophon, but I tested him out last night (proxied) and he is actually very useful in my deck. (far more than i thought he would be. But when you redcuce colorless by 4 and morphon reduces one of each color, you can cast most dragons for as little a 1 or even free. (I was casting my general (the ur-dragon) for 1.
Morophon as has WAY more power than i thought. (And he has quickly become priority target.)
So yeah Modern Horizons brings me...Generous Gift for my Phelddagrif, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician for my Jodah 5 color bishonen project, and nothing else for any of my decks. If only I played Lord Windgrace like everyone else in the world or did anything with my Sliver Queen besides laugh at other people's attempts to trade for mine. There's always core 2020 I guess?

Lol yeah this set looked like a Lord Wingrace fanfiction more than anything else
And i still don't understand why they didn't put snow-matter legendary in the set

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

And a bunch of sweet cards I might play sometime, somewhere, in a deck that doesn't exist yet. I'm really, really happy about this set. I was hopeful when I heard about it, but I didn't expect this much stuff.

The talismans kinda have to compete with Signets, Thought vessel, and Fellwar Stone in my decks that would use them. I don't have anything that make Horizon lands that much better of an inclusion than a pain land (Again, not part of the Lord Windgrace master race).
There are some decent situational things in the final dump.
Recruit the Worthy has some appeal as a difficult to disrupt (i.e. counter or bust) instant speed token maker, even though the rate per token is pretty poor.
Smoke Shroud will help keep ninjas connecting after the first combat step and there are bound to be a few more ninja decks around after this set.
Mob is neat, though the jury's still out on how good it is.
Winding Way is potentially drawing multiple cards for 2 mana in green and has utility at all stages in the game in addition to fueling GY strats.
Cave of Temptation is the first time we've seen +1/+1 counters on a land for creatures already on board outside of Gavony Township, which has tougher color restrictions.
Solid set overall. There's plenty that I'll pick up for as yet undetermined future decks like the enemy talismans, horizon lands, and Prismatic Vista. For my longer term decks, Jaya is definitely getting Tectonic Reformation, then I'll probably test out Goblin Engineer and Shenanigans beyond that. Estrid gets Hall of Heliod's Generosity for obvious reasons and will probably pick up a Waterlogged Grove to go along with Horizon Canopy. I'm also looking forward to Echo of Eons and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician despite not having decks in mind for them at this point and will probably pick up a variety of other things that look potentially good.

what do you mean Lord windgra e master race? I have seen o e lord windgrace deck, precon. Unaltered and they just wanted to play it as is before dissecting it for parts. Aside from that, have not seen a single windgrace deck.
From my experience he's like another Nekusar in that he's really straightforward to build so a lot of people have one. 2 of the regular friends I play with have Lord Windgraces and the majority of strangers that wander into my group for the day have lord windgraces. That guy is everywhere to me.
And your new combo of the set to the format goes to.................
"Just" 11GGU. C'mon, you know you want to..........
You only create 2 Snake tokens in a 4 player game (you have 3 opponents so there are 2 not being attacked with the original). As such, it is much too slow

Yeah, that's why it's too slow >_>
Insert however many players you have for Blade. it's flexible. Or go Helm it for just one token. Whatever.

I really can't believe what you are saying. This set brings so many goodies. It's been about ending cycles, giving us the full talismen, two new Sword of X & Y, the Horizon-lands is HUGE, the basic fetchland is a small gem a lot of decks want. And it's not only in the rare slot the good stuff is. There's many interesting stuff across rareties. I havn't put so many cards in my wishlist like ever.
I feel like anyone who think they would run a pain land over a canopy hasn't gotten a chance to play with Horizon Canopy, when you have access to that style of land it changes things.

I don't know. I'm playing Gishath, Ghave, Karador and Rith, my friends are playing Maelstrom Wanderer, Beckett Brass and Kess and we don't see many things we can use.
I think that some archetypes (lord windgrace, 5 color dragons, 5 color sliver, breya artifact and so on) got many new toys, while others got nothing.
I don't get why everyone is excited about the talismans when we have the signets.
Yeah prismatic vista is awesome, but right is almost as pricey as a fetch, so why would i take it?
Same for the horizon lands, they are so expensive... are they really worth the high price?

No enemy talismans or horizonlands?
I'm really happy with the set, I get:
Enemy talismans & horizonlands for all decks in the right color
Prismatic Vista for literally everything
Hall of Heliod's Generosity, Generous Gift, Winds of Abandon, Tectonic Reformation for Gisela
Force of Negation for non-Wanderer blue decks
Scour All Possibilities for Arixmethes
Tribute Mage for something, maybe
Echo of Eons for Jeleva
Force of Vigor for Arixmethes and Tasigur
And a bunch of sweet cards I might play sometime, somewhere, in a deck that doesn't exist yet. I'm really, really happy about this set. I was hopeful when I heard about it, but I didn't expect this much stuff.
UGR Wanderer
UGB Tasigur Control
URB Jeleva Storm
RW Gisela Control
The Rosheen Meanderer deck I'm finishing needs Unbound Flourishing & Reap the Past.
Niv-Mizzet Reborn gets Soulherder & maybe Kaya's Guile.
My current cycling deck turns into Jodah, Archmage Eternal because of Tectonic Reformation. Astral Drift is nice too.
Prismatic Vista for the Najeela, the Blade-Blossom Enchantress deck I'm developing & for Estrid, the Masked. Estrid also wants Hall of Heliod's Generosity, as does the Anax and Cymede list I'm developing. Najeela definitely wants Collector Ouphe and Estrid probably does too.
Probably some more? Generous Gift is great, though the flavor is a bit silly for my taste.
Breya, Etherium Shaper gets Goblin Engineer to help enable Goblin Welder & Trash for Treasure cheat Bolas's Citadel into play, & also for general utility.
Fists of Flame for Zacama, Primal Calamity & maybe for Jaya Ballard, Task Mage and Yasova Dragonclaw.
The Gonti, Lord of Luxury deck I'm completing wants Ransack the Lab and possibly First-Sphere Gargantua.
Fair enough, I assume you're not on any 2 color enemy decks either then
UGR Wanderer
UGB Tasigur Control

Anyway MH..looks like it has a few goodies I want :
Morophon, the Boundless
Sisay, Weatherlight Captain
Echo of Eons
Rebuild (which I wanna pair with mycosynth lattice because I have no ethics)
The First Sliver
Sword of Sinew and Steel
Sword of Truth and Justice
Fiery Islet
Prismatic Vista
Hall of Heliod's Generosity
Sunbaked Canyon
Expected value, that is to say the average total value of singles if you opened a whole box.
"Just" 11GGU. C'mon, you know you want to..........
Steel Sabotage'ng Orbs of Mellowness since 2011.

Talismans are welcome additions for non-green decks. Any time we can get two-drop mama rocks that produce colored mana and CIP untapped...sign me up!
Plus the mana fixing for enemy dual pairings has always been behind friendly pairings, so both cycles help!
