Yeah, there seems to be alot of narrow cards in this one. I also forgot Rhythm of the Wild thats the best haste enabler ive seen since Temur Ascendancy and etb trigger counters, pretty deece.
Smothering Tithe - Considering how much my meta loves to draw, this could potentially be the best mana-generator for Alesha. Font of Agonies - Not sure if I have enough life payment to justify it yet (have not reviewed my decks recently), but if there is, this is solid repreatable removal. Priest of Forgotten Gods - Less of a sac outlet (which the format has way better ones), but the political aspect is pretty intriguing. Vindictive Vampire - Probably the worst of the Die-Drain effects and I might have crossed the threshold of those effects, but keeping note it exists. Electrodominance - "Quicken" for Ryusei that can apply to permanent spells and adds damage (but no draw) for basically an additional R sounds swell. Incubation Druid - Well I never got hold of Bloom Tender for Animar and the foil is ridiculous due to the lack of reprints, so I'll settle. Rampage of the Clans - If Fresh Meat was a defensive option for my tokens, this is the same for my artifacts and enchantments in Freyalise (which has no creature cards, so there's a lot of artifacts/enchantments). Wilderness Reclamation - Freyalise is a token-stax build and since I couldn't put Seedborn Muse into the deck this is pretty much the next best option. Bedevil - Sunforger Package. Hydroid Krasis - Palinchron'sWild Hydra Ride is now fully Hydra. Judith, the Scourge Diva - Likely replacing Drana in Alesha. Lavinia, Azorius Renegade - Honestly, it's just a goodstuff addition to Isperia, but even nowadays you have to be really good to get in on that basis, so... Mortify - Kept not running into the foil, which is now finally going to be abundant. Nikya of the Old Ways - Did I hear mana-doubler for RG in Animar with essentially no drawback? Rhythm of the Wild - This does way too much (counter-protection, optional haste enabler if needed otherwise it enables +1/+1 synergies) in Animar it gets in the few non-creature coveted spots. Haste is such an optional luxury there I think Urabrask is on his way out now... Teysa Karlov - If the Die-Drain train didn't hit its threshold with Judith, this halves down the requirement instead. Theater of Horrors - "Card Draw" for Alesha. Zegana, Utopian Speaker - GU for a 4/4 that replaces itself and grants the Commander trample isn't bad, although it could be considering middling in the myriad of options the deck has to choose from.
Same "Nothing here is final, chances is I'll pick up way less than indicated since I'm so detached at the moment (and the format is so flexible you can afford to be detached, since they're mostly shiny new toys at best)" clause. I haven't even bothered picking up the GoR/UMA things I want, so that goes to show how far I'm behind schedule.
The card I am most excited about is Smothering Tithe. I will be playing that in a lot of decks. I just wish there was a way to get it into Brudiclad.
Rhythm of the Wild will probably be replacing Fires of Yavimaya in the decks which run that. I think I have used the sacrifice option for Fires maybe twice ever. Rhythm is a more powerful and more flexible card at the same cost. Seems like an obvious switch.
None of the new commander options inspire me to create decks around them, but I will probably incorporate several of them - Judith, new Teysa, the Birthing Pod legend - into existing decks.
More copies of shocks at reasonable prices are always a good thing.
There are a few others that will probably find homes here and there, but not a lot I'm truly excited about.
Overall, I am seeing less I need here than from the previous set.

Fires still has a place if you're running heavy on tokens. Rhythm is a nice upgrade for a lot (maybe most) decks and I'm looking forward to that. Not having to choose between the counter and the haste until a creature actually comes down is great - the decks that want haste really want it and redundant copies of the effect have always been rough to draw in an aggressive list.

The card is as disgusting in a multiplayer format as I assumed it would be, I am more finding 3/4/5 color decks to fit it in with Brudiclad as well and it seems to be going well.
Do you guys think Judith, the Scourge Diva could have potential as a commander? I like her so much that I'm determined to play her in Standard, but I also need to plan something to do with her card once she rotates. Rakdos is a color combination I've always liked, especially when it comes to cards related to the actual guild, but I've never been able to find a commander I liked, much less an efficient list. Some guild-themed enchantments, like Pan Magnification and Theater of Horrors are the kind of stuff I'd really love to try in the format but, again, what commander?
I really want Judith to be good or at least decent at the helm, but if she really cannot be, then perhaps she could be in the 99 of a Lyzolda, the Blood Witch deck? Or RtR Rakdos deck?
Judith looks fine as a commander. I'd probably play her as kind of an aggressive aristocrats list. Focus on swarming with tokens then use Judith and cards like Goblin Bombardment as reach to finish people off. Red and black both have some decent burst token generation thanks to goblins and zombies. It's not going to stand up to a super competitive meta, but it could easily be tuned for a variety of power levels under that.

The thing I don't know is if her ability brings it above what that deck would just be a Mono-B Gonti deck. What I am describing also just sounds like a Grenzo, Dungeon Warden deck that she will be phenomenal in.

Her ability only triggers off non-tokens
Alternatively, she could perhaps be good under other Marchesa? She looks like she could work very well alongside cards that a Marchesa deck wants to be running anyway, such as Carrion Feeder. Although finding a way to reliably use her as a commander would still be my priority lol.
Plenty of nontoken creatures that bring tokens along in BR. I think people underestimate having an anthem in the command zone when it comes to aggressive strategies.

The ug and uw split cards depress me. They've each got one half that's great for a control deck...and then one half that's useless. 3/4 of them make tokens and the other requires creature density. If only they could be reorganized...the stifle + the pongify on the same card would be amazing.
Cards I'm looking at using and/or will have an above-average impact on Commander IMHO.
White
Hero of Precinct One - Getting free tokens is always welcome and the deckbuilding cost of needing to run a higher proportion of multicolored spells is not that big of a deal for a lot of decks.
Smothering Tithe - A lot has been said about this already, but it looks as good as advertised.
Unbreakable Formation - Nice anti-Wrath and/or +1/+1 counter tech, this will definitely go into Ghave for me.
Electrodominance - A nice X-Spell that gets you some added value, I'm really digging this for Wort and Gisela.
Light Up the Stage - I think that if you can hit Spectacle on this, this is good enough to run.
Green
Biogenic Upgrade - I'm digging the fact that this can double counters on three creatures for essentially the same cost as Solidarity of Heroes, but adding three additional counters to that seems solid.
Guardian Project - A slam dunk inclusion in a lot of decks that will draw a lot of cards for green decks that sorely need he CA.
Judith, the Scoure Diva - This is one of those cards that is good enough to go into pretty much any Rakdos deck, I will be trying this out in my Wort deck.
Kaya's Wrath - Wrath effects are good at 4 mana, even given that this is restricted to pretty much just Orzhov decks.
Lavinia, Azorius Renegade - I've written a lot about this one already, but this has such an effect on some strategies that I can see this making a big splash once people start to play with it and realize all the things that it shuts down.
Nikya of the Old Ways - Having a Mana Flare/Heartbeat of Spring in your command zone is potentially really good. I would pair this up with X-Spell Hydras as a way to use the extra mana without being totally dependant on Nikya being in play.
Prime Speaker Vannifar - I'm looking forward to finding ways to generate value without necessarily "going off" with Vannifar.
Rhythm of the Wild - I'm either going to run this instead of Fires of Yavimaya or in addition to it in my Uril deck, but I can also see this making waves in Marath or Ulasht +1/+1 counter decks.
Teysa Karlov - I really dig Teysa's ability to double up on death triggers, I think this is one of the better cards in the set.
Artifact
Tome of the Guildpact - I think that you have to have a really high multicolor card count (like 60% of your non-land cards) to make this worthwhile, but there is some definite value to be had here. I think that this is being underrated right now.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

well while he won't be foil you are still able to get him in a new frame.
Oh and non foil is better. I bought the first 5 guild kits and the foiling process is trash. They came out of the box already horribly curved. I am hopinv a week squeezed between a large book's pages with 7 dnd books on top will straighten it out. But if not. I will just purchase non foil versions.

I wonder if Judith could be quite viable in a competitive meta. Theres gotta be some fast combos using thinks like like Gravecrawler.
