I really used to love Dragon Shield until the last two packs I bought came completely cut like crap. Out of the hundred I'd say there are probably 6 different overall cut lengths which make them annoying as hell to deal with.
While Legion sleeves aren't the greatest by any means, I've found them not only cheaper than Ultra Pro, which is good because I f'ing hate ultra pro these days, but nicer feeling as well.
All that being said, it's really unfortunate that Ultra Pro stopped their PVC line. I've still got a few floating around and dear god they hold up well over time. I think mine are now 8 years old and still look really good. The down side is that they get dirty and dusty on the inside like most others do but they look just as good as my 4 year old Dragon Shields.
Welp, about 15 minutes of work later, I made a M11 booster box deck box. Images are in a spoiler, it's pretty awesome, thanks a ton Evilcliff!
P.s. I accidentally did it backwards so the "FNM" side was the outer flap, whoops. I fix it on my Avacyn, Dark Ascension, Mirrodin Besieged, and M12 boxes.

It's super-awesome either way. The original MTGS article said to put the box art on the outside, but I like how this turns out.
Thanks for posting the pictures! I'm glad to hear that you were able to follow my guide!

I have 15 EDH decks...sorta kills the 'I only need one of a card' aspect of the format.
I went and started a Commander/EDH blog! Come see it at http://wordofcommander.blogspot.com/ and it includes all 15 of my custom super-art generals!
If you're more into the finance section of the game, I write on Fridays for MTGPrice.com.
Hey everyone, Im looking for a way to hold 100 double sleeved cards. The Dragon Shield Gaming Box doesn't appear to exist anymore, wondering what people have done?
Additionally I've just started to use double sleeving on my cards because I was worried about the foils in my decks loosing luster to dragon shield sleeves (from high quantities of shuffling). Has anyone else experienced this? How did you deal with it? Was double sleeving sufficient? Finally I'm not sure how much I like the bulkyness of the double sleeves (dragon shield + KMC) does this ever go down, or do I just have to deal with it as is?
I find that using yu-gi-oh "tins" make for good edh deckboxes. I'm not sure what they are exactly as an equivalent to magic (i.e. fat pack, intro deck) but at my college yu-gi-oh is pretty hot among the younger people who play card games and my younger brother plays it as well so the supply of these tins isn't short. Rather than having them thrown out I'll take them and have a wonderful EDH deckbox that fits: 100 cards, sleeved with dragonpro sleeves, one of them being in a top loader, 4 spindown dice, 1d20,1d10,2d6 and 2d4. All of this in one of the most durable pieces of tin I've never had to buy before. I'm not an artist nor am I into yugioh so I just wrapped the tin in colored duct tape with the corresponding colors of the deck.
I read through most of this thread and didn't find, what I believe to be, the best Commander deckbox ever. The Fantasy Flight double decker deck box. It's 100+ card hard plastic holder on the top, and a plastic dice box on the bottom, that can be used together or separately. It wont fit 100 double sleeved cards, but other than that I love it.
If someone did post this and I couldn't find it, I apologize for the ramble.

First, I apologize for not reading through all past 12 pages of posts to see if this has already been listed.
The grand Prix deck boxes (i got mine at providence last year and they can still be picked up at TJ Collectibles - both online and in store - hold a sleeved EDH deck and also have a line on the side where you can write the general on.
I know a few other GPs (if not all) have started giving these out. I walked away from providence with about 7 of them, because they gave them out at each side event. Wish I had done more; best boxes I have found for EDH.

There are a couple of things that ruined this for me.
1. Doesn't fit double sleeved cards. Protecting my cards from moisture is pretty important to me, so I love double-sleeving more than the box.
2. Would it be so hard to make the dice compartment match the box itself? That grey is horrible.
It's even more frustrating because I actually would want this box very badly if not for those reasons.

I use this box myself and I absolutely love it. I use the blue one and I bought blue and grey dice that match the box perfectly for my Sharuum deck.
So I bought a set of "Dragonshield Plastic Deck Boxes" a year ago and they have been perfect... but now a few of them are cracking. I'd like to replace them with new "Dragonshield Plastic Deck Boxes" but they are sold out everywhere.
Anyone have any suggestions on where I can get them, or any other deck box that can hold double sleeved edh decks? I've noticed that Ultrapro has put out a 150 card plastic deck box. Does anyone have the exact inside/outside dimensions for this thing? Also, I've read somewhere that there is a "Ultra Pro 120+ card plastic deck box." Anyone have any information on that?

I don't know about a 120, but UP has made boxes that hold toploaders, which will take your EDH deck but have lots of space at the top.
Are you thinking of the "Pro-Deck Box"? It's meant for 100 sleeved cards.
I have a couple of those pro-deck boxes and really like them. The other UP boxes just have too much space for stuff to shift around. I've also purchased some of the fancier magnetic ones to hold my more expensive decks.

I got one of the gold magnet boxes and within a few months the flap had separated into the outer and inner parts. Annoying to have to superglue something I spent $13 on.
I'm interested in the tissue box from the recent post--can you elaborate?

I completely agree with point #1. If it would only fit a whole double sleeved deck, it would be perfect in my eye. As for point #2, that doesn't bother me too much... I still like the way it looks.

The only Rook Capsule I know of is the metal box. They still making those?
If it's those, they'll hold 70ish snugly, but it has a rolled metal edge that can be pretty annoying.
No guarantee that we're thinking of the same thing, though.
I'm talking about the small ones with "Capsule" on them, not the suitcases-like ones. You can't really find them anymore.
Tissue box deck boxes are quite easy. For MTG just measure out the lengths you need,
you can make it OK-looking and stronger if you go over the whole thing in duct tape.

If they would release boxes that could fit double sleeved cards, I'll bear with the grey. :B
Not really a deck box or sleeve question, but I thought I'd showoff share my color-coordinated combo for my Karn, Silver Golem deck.
The deck box is a standard black 100 card Ultra-Pro deck box that's been painted to match the end cap for my playmat tube, and look like worn metal. The sleeves are silver KMC sleeves (my favorite brand, they're practically indestructible, IMO). The silver dice are Chessex. Silver everything!

Oh no problem, thanks again for posting this.
I also think the top box art looks cooler on the inside, it leaves something to see after you empty your deck out of it.
