I guess I should post this here. How do I double sleeve cards and what sleeves are best for doing that?
If you would kindly direct your attention to the original post were I've spent a fair amount of time compiling info on this thread you can find the directions for double sleeving in the sleeves spoiler. It's the first thing covered and it says the following:
Okay to start everyone knows about regular sleeves but if you have some really expensive cards or just shiny ones you want to give some extra protection to you can do so with these wonderful sleeves made by KMC which are perfect fit sleeves.
1. You simply put the card into a perfect fit upside down
2. Then you insert the card right side up in a regular size sleeve
I know this sounds really, really lame, but does anyone know of a sleeve that is foiled on the INSIDE of the sleeve (that part facing you when you are playing)? Preferably one that doesn't suck?

#1) Are you asking about the inside of the sleeve like the part behind the face of the card like the backside of the sleeve art?
- or -
#2) The clear plastic that protects the face of the card? Like a way to make a regular card look foil?
I'm NOT 100% sure though because I've never used the Brom Shade Blue sleeves.
If you'd like I can take a photo of my Brom Soul Forge sleeves when I get home.
EDIT: Actually I even have the Soul Forge sleeve in the header photo for the card sleeves section in the original post. But, if you'd like I can still take a photo of the front and back of the sleeve when I get home later today.
New Commander deck box on the rise and I've added it to the OP.
It is set to be released June 17, 2011.
EDIT: Also I here Ultra Pro is releasing Perfect Fit Sleeves with the magic card backing design on them. I'm curious about how smoothly they'll shuffle and how durable they'll be.
EDIT 2: Also Ultra Pro is releasing Over-sized sleeves in packs of 24 for Archenemy and Planechase sized cards.
OmniDreamer can you cite a source for that new "Commander" Deck Box?
Sure thing. It was posted April 5th on CoolStuffInc's Facebook wall. http://www.facebook.com/coolstuffinc (you'll have to scroll down some to see the announcement)
Their site is taking pre-orders, as I'm sure other sites will be doing in the near future. I'm just making note of this as I'm not saying you need to buy it from any one store.
the question is whether that deck box can hold double sleeved cards or not. The description says it will hold 100 cards in Ultra Pro sleeves, and that it can further hold 25 Over Sized cards. So I am not sure what that means for double sleeved cards as I am not sure I want to try to fit even double sleeved cards into the over sized section of the deck box.

"As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapable of solving approaches zero." -- Varsuvius, Order of the Stick
I preordered one of Ultra-pro's 100 card deck boxes after seeing my friends using them for EDH. It'll fit tight-sleeved dragonshields. I keep tokens, plastic protectors, spare sleeves, and some uncommons/commons in a plastic box I found laying around, with a lip inside to prevent mashing in the cover it fits about 3 decks handily. perfect!
Someone brought this in tonight at FNM and it is totally awesome. It's obviously made for EDH (top of box says Elder Highlander Vault lol)
Anyways it's basically your standard 600ct white card box except it has built in cardboard sidewall dividers so you can store 5 decks at a time. It comes with two D10 and a pack of 120 sleeves. The sleeves are kind of weird, like they aren't KMC or Ultra Pro. They are foily on the back with a sort of dragon type design. Not my style per say but even at $20 a box I'm going to pick one up. Oh yeah, they come in all colors! (except artifact :/)

I was wondering when these would pop up here..
A friend of mine has one, and swears he'll be buying more when he gets around to it.
I really like them, though I've not had the chance to play around with and poke at his.
How's the cardboard? Does it feel nice and sturdy and like it could hold up over an extended time?
Also, what's the quality of the sleeves comparable to? Perhaps Dragon Shields or KMCs, hopefully not UltraPro?

As much as I like the looks of that, and the fact that it can hold a Commander deck + oversized commanders/planes/archenemy cards, I doubt I'll be getting one. It doesn't look like it'll fit double-sleeved decks like mine, and it probably wouldn't stand up to the 'abuse' that my current deckboxes go through. With it being that big, and shaped how it is, I'm afraid that if I put it into my backpack, it'd be likely to crack or break from bumps and drops, unlike my Dragon's Egg or the Ion boxes I have. Plus, it says it can hold 25 oversized cards, but I carry around a full deck of 40 Planes with me [plus Archenemy cards, which don't get as much love from my group lately]. I'd rather carry my deck super-safely in my Egg, with my full armament of Planes in the uppper thing, than pay 10 bucks for a neat deckbox that won't even hold my stuff. Great for single-sleeved decks, though.

Are you sure that's the Ultra-Pro box and not the Ion box? I know they're almost identical. Just curious. The Ultra-Pro is rumored to have a little more space than the Ion deckbox.
Deck Box
I have each deck in it's own Ultra Pro 100-count Box...the 100 cards double sleeved fit in there perfectly (put the cards in with the card face facing the sides of the box, not the top or bottom)
It says right on the front it holds 100 standard cards with Ultra Pro deck and card protectors
So yes i think so
But the question was about double-sleeved cards which makes a deck roughly 4cm thicker.
As a comparison, I use a Dragon Shield clear box, similar to the one Ultra Pro is making now. Using single sleeved Dragon Shield, I was able to fit the 100 card deck plus 15 tokens, in sleeves, and a 10 card sideboard.
After double sleeving with the Perfect Fit, I can now only fit the 100 card deck.

I use the standard long white boxes most card stores sell in varying sizes (mine's about 10" long, but I think I need to switch to my longer one). I'd like to use toploaders on my generals, but the toploaders are too wide to fit into the box. I've got maybe .7 cm extra width for the card to fit into. Are there any kinds of toploaders that are only half a cm or so wider than a regular sleeve?
I'd like to have some sort of anti-stupid protection for when I accidentally shuffle my general in, and to work as dividers for my decks.
That is a promo box given out at a pre-release or something if I remember correctly. Essentially it is just one of the clear acrylic boxes made by Ultra Pro or other companies, but with Rise of the Eldrazi artwork plastered on it.

Sorry, the way I usually put a top-loader protected general into a standard white card box is along the edge of the sleeves on its side, or maybe lay it flat on top of them. There are other ways to divide the decks. In my case I just have each of my decks in different kinds of sleeves or I face one deck the opposite direction of the other.
Fat Packs are usually the best for holding Commander decks that have Generals in Top-loaders as well as using the top-loaders as dividers.

I don't do it, but my understanding is:
KMC "perfect size" sleeves upside down. Then Dragon Shields as you normally would.

Thank you sir. I do have an all foil deck so I think it would be best to do that.

For Option #1 there are these kind of sleeves which I know are a silver foil on the other side of the artwork so when you turn an empty sleeve over you can blind yourself: http://www.amazon.com/Brom-Soul-Forge-Sleeves-Protectors/dp/B000I4GE1C
For Option #2 I can't think of anything.
How can you tell the one you linked is foil on the inside? Have you seen them personally? Do they have other artworks they sell?
I own them as well as the deck box with that art. You can see the box in my header photo in the original post.
I think these have the same foily-ness behind the artwork:
