My favorite boxes are the Ultra Pro magnetic flip boxes. They hold EDH decks very well. I bought one of those camera cases with the tear out foam people recommended a while ago to hold them. Works well, and yes, I had to make a deck for every color before my soul felt complete, with a close to even color representation with no two decks being too similar:
My mat is rolled up in the back which also covers my dice. The stuff next to my white deck are maybe boards. The cards in the upper right are planechase. I put the decks together over time so I was kind of stuck with the shape and had to make due for the planechase and white deck. I could reorder foam to redo it though.
Black - Jarad, Golgari Lich lord renimator toolbox. Featuring fatties that can come out turn two or answer anything via entomb and the various other tutors.
Red - Nekusar, the Mindrazer draw to die. Basic nekusar wheel pain deck. Good for when you want to wield spells.
Green - Marath, Will of the Wild token pump. Get tokens. Pump tokens. Use removal and don't overextend.
Blue - Roon of the Hidden Realm blink blaster. Siphon the life out of people as their cards disappear permanently, unlike your massive set of etb creatures.

Haven't actually gotten to use it yet per se (except to stick the precon I had sitting around in my desk) but it's so pretty I had to show it off. I got it from mtg custom deck boxes (aka Aaron Cain). It can hold 3 EDH decks (one split across 2 compartments) or 2 and a bunch of a dice and stuff.
Can this deck box hold triple sleeve?
Triple sleeve? People do that? O_o Why would you do that? I don't even...
Personally I only use single-sleeve (dragonshields). If you wanted to....triple sleeve....each side holds 150 cards single-sleeved, so if a triple sleeved card is less than or equal to 1.5 single-sleeved cards, then yes?
What a weird world.
People definitely do, especially when playing with high cost decks or just so that the accidental drink spill doesn't ruin everything :P.
Why would you ever allow a drink on a table with magic cards? Let alone one with expensive cards...
It must be a nightmare to shuffle that deck properly. I have huge hands and a double-sleeved deck takes a ridiculous amount of time.
[EDH] It's built to be a casual format and to a specific vision, and if you don't like the vision, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not going to change to accommodate everyone. Big tent is not a goal.
I use dragon shields ,a fatpack box for two decks. The third i use the White PW chrome sleeves and one of the first deckbuilder's kit boxes for the White commander deck.
At some point I guess I had Odyssey block in there
That's a pretty sweet setup. This is my current setup, which is 600 cards, 225 lands, and 40 generals. I'm going to increase it to 700 cards and 250 lands, so I need a larger box. I've been considering a simple box like yours, but may get the holiday gift box.
Edit: Why is that picture upside down? It's the correct orientation on my hard drive.
I keep my basics on those magnetic flip top mana symbol boxes since they don't fit in there. I sort of understand putting thought and effort into the box and sleeves, but I can't really find a reason myself to put the Cube into anything more than an $.75 box. I suppose if it left the house that might change things.

Also, 740 is soooo many. 250 lands is good.
IIRC, I have either 40 or 45 basics per color and it worked out. I'd increase to 50 just for the sake of a round even number. I think the Holiday Gift Box is a good size for everything.
I can't remember in what thread it was, but someone had brought up the aluminum briefcases that you could get in Europe that they used for their cube. The logic was that when your cube is worth a couple thousand dollars, spending a few hundred on quality sleeves and a case to protect it is more of an investment.

I understand that too, but don't agree. Once it becomes more than "just a bunch of game pieces" then I need to quit the game and prioritize my values. If anything the shitty pink UltraPros and $.75 cardboard box is a way to remind myself of that.

Agreed, but there is still a potential return, so at the very least, protecting the cards from damage is a priority to me. I'm content in my doublesleeves.
For my favorite decks I usually like the box to match the theme or style as best as possible.
My Karrthus deck is my second favorite and rests in the box pictures below. It has a scaly texture which is very cool for my dragons to rest in. Comes in all 5 magic colors.
Has anybody used the new C14 ultra pro sleeves that have the 'walker art on the back? I imagine they're of the same quality as the other ultra-pro's with art but I've never tried 'em. Comparable to...?

I haven't used those specific ones, but I did recently purchase these Ultra Pro sleeves and they were the biggest pain in the ass to double sleeve.
I used to HATE my ultra pro red matte's and then...they grew on me. Double sleeved with KMC perfect fit and...they just got better. The regulars however... meh. Whites are ok but black's are bleh
Im thinking of making a deckbox out of metal for my Karn deck, has anybody done one before? It should be big enough for Doublesleeved and im thinking of making it a bit wider so i can have sideboard/Tokens in it.

I bought one of these in white and was immediately disappointed. I could only squeeze 95 doubled sleeved cards in it. I bought it for my most valuable deck and ended up having to use it for a single sleeved precon.

That's a huge bummer. Sorry you ran into that problem. That picture I have is of a double sleeved deck so it can work. I know that when I first double sleeve my decks they are much larger because of all the air that gets trapped inside. At that point the deck wouldn't fit. However, once they are compressed properly it will fit.
Ultra Pro used to make Pro-100 Deck boxes. Now they only have the 100+ ones which are too big as far as I'm concerned. Does anyone know of a place where to get the original 100 versions?
I know that a bunch of people here do Cube. Attached is an image of how it fits in a Holiday Box. Everything except the tokens (yellow sleeves) are double-sleeved. Rows 1 and two are the 600 card cube plus 40 general cards. Row 3 are 200 basic lands and don't know how many relevant tokens for the cube.
Well, this a bit of advertising, but hopefully not too offensive since it's giving you all a chance to help the development of a product the way you want it. I'm working on a deck box/discard tray - you can see some more about it here: <snip>
I'm hoping to come out with a triple decker version which will accommodate 100 2xsleeved cards. Any other suggestions?

FYI you added an extra w to your link.
Also, a very cool idea, I would definitely be in the market for something like this. My friends like to go camping and play cards, which doesn't mix well.

I use one of the Ultra Pro Portable Gaming Cases with the cardboard seperators removed and put 4 fat pack boxes arranged in a circle, dice in the middle. Holds 12 EDH decks easily. As far as sleeves I'm all about dragon shields haha, I only have one deck that isn't in them, a friend got me Pure Jank sleeves for my Maelstrom Wanderer cascade into cards that say Random deck... I'm not a fan of the 50 pack Dragon Shields but the new colors are welcome.
