My playgroud is located in Central NJ (about 15 minutes from Rutgers, New Brunswick) and we're looking to expand. We have games most weeks at either my home or the group's founder's home which are usually on a weeknight. We have 3 core members who attend most of the games, with several other people who attend when they can. A typical night is 3 - 4 people for us, but we'd like to make it a solid 4-5 people when we play.
If you're in the Central NJ area, 20+ years old, do not play cut throat competitive decks (I have several such decks that I refrain from playing), and would like a group of friendly people to game with for fun, shoot me a message on here.
We're in it for the fun of playing EDH; our decks are casual, but still have ways to win.

We typically meet at 3pm-5pm for open gaming before FNM. playgroup is small, but always looking for new members. I typically have 3-4 decks on me, so all you have to do is show.

Both stores run something like a month long league with prizes at the end. They setup 3-5 player pods and use achievements to encourage a more fun and casual environment.
Walcott, CT though it is at a player's house. the 6 of us that play are from varying towns and we are always looking for a new place to chill and slap some cards.
Sorry for the lack of updates. A virus from mmo-champion or curse destroyed my laptop and I've only had my mobile for Internet access. It should be back up and running soon, and I'll get the thread updated by the end of this week, even if I have to use my mobile to do it.
Because conservative bias is a far, far worse thing. Liberal bias doesn't, statistically speaking, make people stupid. Conservative bias (or at least Fox's version of it) does.
I just moved to Great Lakes, IL for school and I was wondering if there's any LGS nearby with a strong EDH playgroup. I'm closer to Waukegan, but taking the train to Chicago isn't out of the question. I'm completely new to the area, in fact I haven't ventured off campus at all in the two weeks I've been here!
In terms of play style I'm pretty casual but I don't mind playing against cutthroats either. The play environment I came from was a mixed bag of super casuals and super try-hards so I'm used to both 3 hour games and turn 3 combos. Mostly looking to play on weekends as I need to study during the week.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I haven't sat down and played a game of magic in months and I'm itching to pick up some singles from the new sets.

Welcome to the area! I'm from the city, but head out to Niles to Pastimes on Wednesday nights for EDH. There's also Tuesday night EDH at the Chicagoland Dice Dojo up at the north end of Chicago. I don't know of much else farther out, but Pastimes is sort of the big regional event holder store, and they have a good mix of EDH players there--usually 10-15 every Wednesday, ranging from three color goddstuff decks to casual cool crap. There are a couple of tryhards there that tend to do their best to make the game 3v1 whenever they hit the table, but overall it's a pretty good meta with a wide range of decks.

I play at Chicagoland Games Dice Dojo on Tuesday nights. It's a nice, healthy league, with a range of deck archetypes and play styles. We generally have 10-15 players show up most Tuesdays.
The nice part about CLG is that the store is right off the Bryn Mawr Red Line station, so it's somewhat reasonable to get to. Though with you being in Great Lakes, I'm guessing you'd have to take the Metra into the city, then take the Red Line back out, which would be prohibitively time consuming.
Pastimes in Niles might be closer and more convenient to you.
I play at Card Kingdom and Gamma Ray Games in Seattle, Washington currently with a few friends. I'd love to add some new people to our group or join in with some local folks.

Those two shops tend to get the most local EDH play. It would probably be accurate to add that to the current listing for Oregon, Portland (the one that currently includes 'wasmachstudugern') just in case folks want to know where to catch a game of EDH.
