This was probably a terrible idea from the very beginning. But...
I had been considering trying to swap my Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon deck around from being super aggro to more of a control deck, with Skithiryx as the finisher. It crossed my mind that maybe I could assemble combos that would allow me to produce infinite black mana relatively consistently, and then use that and a sac outlet to smash over, and over, and over again with a hasty Skithiryx from the command zone until everyone was dead. (why I wouldn't just cast Exsanguinate, I don't know.)
As I type that out it sounds even more contrived than I first thought. Oh well, let's see where this goes...
Of those, I suppose #s 2 and 3 are pretty reasonable. The one I didn't see listed that I'm pretty sure works is Cabal Coffers + Deserted Temple + Rings of Brighthearth + some number of Swamps (not exactly sure how many). That one seems the best out of all the options, but I'd like more redundancy.
If there are any particularly non-janky combos that produce infinite black mana, I'd love to hear them :).
Another good one is Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth + Deserted Temple. Use Monolith-Rings to generate infinite colorless, then activate Temple targeting a Swamp, copying to target itself. Repeat to generate infinite black.
Temple-Coffers-Rings is also a good one.

Cool. Didn't know I could use the Basalt Monolith combo to create colored mana.
This one also works with Skeletal Vampire and Marsh Flitter, interestingly enough. In fact, anything that brings 2 tokens with it to the party works here.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I've found that running other infect dudes and stuff like Grafted Exoskeleton is usually suboptimal. Skitties is usually the only source of infect I like to rely on. The possible exception to that is Tainted Strike, which I can use to 1-shot someone unexpectedly using someone else's creature.
Thanks for all the other infinite black mana suggestions, everyone. I'll try to work them in as seems appropriate :).
I run all of those in my Geth deck with the exception of the magus, as he seemed too slow...? Slow is not the right word. Fragile, that's the right word. The deck runs a high number of board wipes, so he doesn't last long enough, plus summoning sickness.
Do any other monoblack players have an opinion of the magus?

You typed exactly what was going through my head as I read Magus being brought up in this thread. I completely agree with you.

Yup been mentioned but Cabal Coffers+Rings of Brighthearth+Deserted Temple is infinite black its the only infinite in my mono black deck and its more preferred because it means I have to run cards I already want to not bad cards just to combo. (Albeit rings is probably less good in Skittles then Chainer)
Deathgreeter (needs a toughness boost) and/or Dross Harvester can offset the life cost.
[CARD]
Blood Artist[/CARD] (needs a toughness boost) and/or Falkenreath Noble offsets the life cost, and will drain the opponents life at the same time.

Wurmcoil Engine works as well and is a pretty good creature outside of these combos.
Cast Priest of Gix, sacrifice it to Ashnod's Altar, reanimate with Corpse Dance and repeat. You do need some sort of cost reduction effect, otherwise it creates an infinite loop with no mana gain.
Edit: This combo essentially allows you to animate all creatures in all graveyards... and they have haste!

So, being not all that familiar with infinite combos, I searched through the Infinite combos and/or very good card synergies DATABASE, and came up with the following ways to produce infinite black mana.
1) Necrotic Ooze + Pili-Pala + Palladium Myr.
2) Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Puppeteer Clique + Phyrexian Altar.
3) Magus of the Coffers + Umbral Mantle + 6 Swamps.
4) Composite Golem + Nim Deathmantle.(mono black fail)Of those, I suppose #s 2 and 3 are pretty reasonable. It starts to get a little complex, but these are all cards you should probably be running anyways.

add in any converter or use phyrexian altar to filter mana into black.
these give infinite creatures, 1 infinitely large creature, infinite mana, infinite artifacts enter / leave, infinite creatures enter / leave

I certainly include a lot of doublers: Extraplanar Lens, Gantlet of Power, Caged Sun, Doubling Cube, Nirkana Revenant, Magus of the Coffers, and Cabal Coffers are all always up for consideration.

Edit: Due to needing a toughness boost on board for this to work, may as well mention Bad Moon, Ascendant Evincar, Death Pit Offering and Caged Sun. Also Pawn of Ulamog and Ogre Slumlord would probably help (given a toughness boost for their little ones of course).
Lets say it's a six card combo (at least) and be done with it
Wurmcoil Engine works as well and is a pretty good creature outside of these combos.
