UPDATE: A new red draw engine has come to my attention, courtesy of Gaka in his Norin primer. It involves using Goblin Recruiter to stack a Rummaging Goblin and then Squee, Goblin Nabob, so you gain +1 card advantage with each Rummaging Goblin activation. The best part is that the Goblin Recruiter can be found with Goblin Matron, Imperial Recruiter, Moggcatcher, or Gamble, so it's a very dependable engine to put into any mono red deck. It's also great because none of these cards are bad on their own. Of course, even if they kill the Rummaging Goblin, you still have Squee, who has plenty of other uses, such as fueling Skullclamp and Vicious Shadows.
In the original post you have a link to Shared Hatred, that doesn't go anywhere. I'm assuming you're talking about Shared Animosity?
You are correct sir! I don't know why I called it that, since I probably recommend the card to someone at least once a week. Thanks for spotting the error.
Yeah, I really need to update this thing for the latest sets. Trading Post has opened up some interesting options, that's for sure. I'm also a huge fan of Mizzium Mortars and Vandalblast.
I love me some Mono Red. My play group did nothing but tell me how wea it was and that pushed me into making a deck that wasn't. The look on their faces the first time Ashling won was priceless.

I've been thinking of running Rummaging Goblin in Wort, Boggart Auntie, but the main problem with him I usually end up needing card reuse more than I do card draw, there are usually far better targets to search with a tutor than Squee, and he's a 4 mana creature that just doesn't do as as a lot of the deck's other 4 mana creatures.
While there are quite a few newer cards, there is also the issue of powercreep in the other colors as well. For what the colors are supposed to represent and do, red is still very much neutered in comparison to the other colors in EDH. Mono red was given Prophetic Flamespeaker, which is very powerful, but still nothing broken. The predominately "popular" colors in edh being blue (or blue+green) has been constantly given staples like Prophet of Kruphix or Cyclonic Rift.
edit; I might as well inject my opinion on something here. I've been playing mono-red in EDH for quite some time, and have often times felt that the thing that really holds mono-red back is the reliance on cards from other formats. Red is known for their speed, so many cards that red gets that are "good" in modern or type-2 are not good in EDH because their mana-cost to board presence doesn't mean enough.
It would be great to see more mono-red cards printed in EDH precon's, where they would be legal for us but not legal for modern or type-2.
An example here would be Stormbreath Dragon. In type-2 it is a nice average mid-game beater with relevant abilities (haste & protection). In EDH it is not very powerful, even at just costing 5 mana. What if development made an EDH precon with a version of Stormbreath Dragon that cost RRRR with a 5/5 body? Wouldn't that see play in a mono-red EDH deck?
Dragons are a perfect example here. They are the epitome of a red creature. Powercreep has made them better over the years, but relying on something that has to be "balanced" for other formats is the limiting aspect here. Hellkite Tyrant and Knollspine Dragon are creatures that should see more play, but if their devotion or manacost was stricter, requiring the player to be in mono-red, then they could be more cost efficient and actually give a red deck a better chance. What if these two dragons cost 2 less to cast, but required all R?
A great thread that not only inspired my next PucaTrade requests, but also reminded me of my unplayed Wildfires.
No longer!
Cheers!
I'm actually glad it got rezzed. Both this thread and the mono white version are extremely helpful (although there is also the mono white primer running around now, too).
With all of the tutoring options available, it should be a pretty reliable line of play to get Rummaging Goblin on board with Squee, Goblin Nabob in hand by turn 5, after which you can trigger Impending Disaster, Boom-Bust, Thoughts of Ruin, Tectonic Break, or Keldon Firebombers, then build up your hand and manabase with your draw engine while your opponents flounder.

Akroma, Angel of Fury is a very scary general, too, especially with Akroma's Memorial and/or Sword of Feast and Famine.

Still, I'll give him a try.
Thanks to Rivenor of Miraculous Recovery Signatures!
Devotion is a thing, now, specifically Fanatic of Mogis. Also, Spawn of Thraxes and Purphoros, God of the Forge.
