well yea i know if only picking one Doubling is the way to go, but i was wondering if in say a token deck is both is a good thing or a win more. guess i should of picked a better title

Purely as a PL vs DS debate, it's a matter of your budget.
But I would personally run both; it's the kind of effect that people should probably blow up ASAP.
Whether you have White and/or Black in your deck as well can be a factor in terms of tutors - if neither are there then you'll probably want both for redundancy.
The only issue I see with this is that in EDH most planes walkers are mediocre at best; certainly under ideal conditions the Walker ultimate will give you a huge advantage or even win you the game, but there are a hundred other two card combo's that can do that. Most walkers have to have a useful single use ability (like Lili1, Garruk2, etc...) to be worth using.
So even if you are running Doubing Season is it worth including Walkers? Probably only those that are useful on their own (and Elspeth).
Parallel Lives is cheaper and is often just as good. If your mana curve is an issue there's nothing wrong with running just Parallel Lives. I think it draws a little less hate too because of the planeswalker thing.
Might be worth it to run both if you really want the effect since G and G/R tokens have a hard time tutoring for it.
One thing worth noting is that if you have both in play, the first will double the tokens you generate, and the second will double THAT, leaving you with 4x the original tokens.
If you're playing a deck based around tokens with a lot of token generation cards, it's definitely worthwhile to run both. You're frequently going to want the effect, so having it come up more often will be very powerful. In addition, the chance of quadrupling can make it a huge blowout.

I run both in Rhys. I like the redundancy, but I also like that PL is an insurance policy. Doubling Season rarely sticks around long, so having that backup plan is nice for me.
If i had a deck designed for it I would use doubling season. To me the price isnt worth it unless you hVe a deck specifically made to abuse the counters part. Parallel is just fine for me until then.
Run both, you said you had the slots, so run both. It is an extremely powerful effect and having redundancy is good. Also having both out is even better, even if it is overextending.
And having both in play creates an infinite loop, that can not be stopped, unless you have an effect to stop it. You do not get to choose the number of tokens, and it is not a may ability. Did I miss anything?

Around here, we seldom see Planeswalkers in people's EDH decks...mostly because most of them are underwhelming in EDH. I personally don't have any in my standard EDH decks. So unless, I need the double/counter ability, I tend to just use Parallel Lives for my token EDH strategies.
However, if you can afford to get a copy of Doubling Season, then playing with both is often a very good idea to help increase redundency in your decks.
Absolutely run both. In a token deck, you should run every doubler you can. I play an Adric and Nev, Twincasters deck, and sometimes I can copy them (with a Spark Double or something like that) and it's crazy. Getting 4 times as many tokens is absolutely amazing. Imagine something as simple as populating each upkeep. That's 4 copies of your best creature each turn.
So yeah, if you get one, that's great. If you get two, that's even better. Neither ever is a dead card. Both can be game changing, and they stack great. Absolutely put them both in.

So what Im wondering is, Is it worth it to run both or just one?
Doubling Season lets you use planeswalker ultimates immediately.
Parallel Lives does not.
So, use Doubling Season. Obviously.
Side note: the only thing making Gilder Bairn a $1 card is exactly why Doubling Season is $20+.

--- Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief --- Ghoulcaller Gisa --- Akroma, Angel of Fury --- Titania, Protector of Argoth ---
Thats what i was thinking and since i have space for both I'll go with that for now.

I draft and play EDH. If a Standard player can't understand who a card is for, it's probably for me.
I also write things about good films.
Redundancy never hurts.

Havign both out works the same way having 2 parallel lives or 2 doubling seasons would, you end up with 4x the tokens, and just as an example if you have 1 of each and a copy enchantment copying a Doubling season you will end up with 8x
