So I am tweeking my Teferi deck here and there when I can and I just wanted some opinions on what the best card draw in blue is for EDH. I mainly play multiplayer myself which I know can change some opinions so idealy think multiplayer in your replies in case it makes a difference.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
1. Jace, the Mind Sculptor
2. Fact or Fiction
3. Thirst for Knowledge
4. Consecrated Sphinx or Recurring Insight if removal is heavy where you play.
5. Azami, Lady of Scrolls
The first 3 should be in pretty much any blue deck ever.
Sphinx seems plenty strong, but you know everyone will be gunning for it in mp.
Azami is good if your gen is a wizard, which happens to be the case here. If, at the end of the last opponent's turn, you still have mana up, don't forget to play Venser + tap him for a card + target himself with the etb trigger.
Opportunity and Jace's Ingenuity are often overlooked, but have great mana cost:cards drawn ratios. Both are better than Stroke of Genius and Blue Sun's Zenith (both cost 6 mana to draw 3 cards, opportunity gets you 4 cards and jace's ingenuity costs 1 less).
For anyone who hasnt played with Future Sight yet... GET ON THE BUS!!!!! Its hands down the best "draw" engine in the game
In EDH - Stroke is a kill spell, if you want to draw cards, there are better ways.
So if I were to say "you're a complete douchebag who has his head up his ass so far he's using his own eyeballs as glasses," you'd simply shrug it off?

I've never been too hot on Fact or Fiction unless my deck abuses the graveyard, or is 5 color, in which multiple blue mana is an issue. Mostly the revealing of the cards bit rubs me wrong, when blue has so many options that don't need it.
Also, I've been liking Ponder, Preordain and Portent a LOT lately. I actually like Portent better then Ponder, as on the off chance you choose to shuffle, you have a chance to top before you draw.
Tomoya the Revealer. Draws cards, lays politics, breaks consecrated sphinx harder than a Stroke for 10.
glad someone else agrees with me on this. Coming out early is sweet, and early-game a 3 mana draw is a perfect use for that mana you held open for counters and then never had to use. And late-game, once he's flipped he draws more cards than pretty much anything, ever, and with a reliquary tower or similar you've got a sick wincon.

I can't possibly get behind not playing FoF. I mean, there is a reason the acronym EOTFOFYL exists.
On the other hand, I'm all about the extremely efficient cantrip spells. Brainstorm, Ponder, and to a lesser extent Preordain all deserve to be in more U decks than they currently are. People talk about how they "waste a mana" while also talking about how long the game goes and how much mana they have. ????? These cards are just free slots in your deck that essentially make it smaller. It feels so good to hit a land drop for the turn because of one of these spells.
I'm on board with the one mana cantrips, Brainstorm, Ponder, etc. A card I see as being is this vein also is Personal Tutor. Same mana, same speed, same cantrip, MUCH better selection.
I also like Mystic Remora, along the same lines as Rhystic Study.
Overwhelming Intellect is great, but I think it has to be played in the right kind of deck. Most of the time I leave 6 untapped in any old deck, nothing worthwhile happens and the result is that I punted the turn.
Really though, I like the enchantment that gives counter during your upkeep and you draw based on the counters. I cant freaking remember the name though :/ It's not GREAT, but if you can protect it, it gets there.
Mystic Remora/Rhystic Study are two of the best enchantments blue has for card-drawing. Seriously, in multiplayer, you have these two and Consecrated Sphinx. Card advantage becomes ridiculous at this point.

Agreed. And it increases potency a hundredfold if you've got Sensei's Divining Top as well. ":1mana:: Draw a card" is the nuttiest thing I think I've ever seen.
If we're only talking about drawing cards, then I really don't like Jace, the Mind Sculptor as a 4 mana sorcery speed Brainstorm. If we're talking about good cards that happen to let you draw, Jace is amazing.

I totally agree with you here. I have tried to make Jace work in EDH so much but I never find he does more than 2UU: Brainstorm and gain 5 life. I'd much rather be playing a card draw spell that can't be attacked.
My top 5 that I am using are probably as follows:
1 Fact or Fiction (so fast, so many cards, instant speed. LOVE IT)
2 Consecrated Sphinx
3 Overwhelming Intellect
4 Rhystic Study
5 Azami, Lady of Scrolls (would be higher for me but its not a tribal deck)
Ideally I would love to pick up some gems or hidden cards I couldnt think of.
and yes I know I dont have Mind's Eye in my list. I probably should one of these days. I have been reluctant for some reason.

I cube, I play EDH, and I can't afford Legacy. The other formats can suck it.
And I don't know how I've never noticed Overwhelming Intellect before. It's so sick!

10.) No taxing cards.
If i wanted to pay 1 more on my Fresh Volunteers, then id just have played Pearled Unicorn.
psychic possession on an opponent who draws alot or with wheel effects is awesome

Currently 62/265 cards.
Seconded. I move that the nominations be closed.
Gosh that card is insane. I will never play a blue deck without it again.

1. Consecrated Sphinx
2. Recurring Insight
3. Time Spiral
4. Rhystic Study
5. Windfall
If you resolve the first two and untap with everything intact, odds are high you will win.
Time Spiral is much much stronger, but only in a specific type of deck. I don't think I have ever resolved Time Spiral and lost, to be totally honest.

In no particular order:
Consecrated Sphinx
Recurring Insight

Rhystic Study
Timetwister
If it were draw, Future Sight would be up there. Blue Sun's Zenith, Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar, and Thought Reflection are great too.
