Actually Mishra has uses too. He makes Nether Void one sided for your artifacts and lets you look a three new cards every turn with Sensei's Divining Top.
What was the other option we all talked about a while ago with Blood Funnel in Mishra?
EDIT: I know you were supposed to dig something out with Thada, play it (and have BF counter it), and dig out your own copy for free.
I believe it was when you cast it, the Mishra's trigger goes on the stack, with the Blood Funnel counter trigger above it. The counter trigger resolves first, countering the spell. Then, Mishra's trigger procs to search your graveyard for a card that has the same name as the artifact you cast, and puts it in play. Net result: Artifacts cost 2 less with no drawback.
Battle of Wits was probably the best example for what I meant when I posted this thread. In essence, all it will ever be is 5 cc enchantment. It will never function how it was designed. I'm looking for more cards like this. Cards like:
Pack Hunt is still a creature tutor, even if it's on the expensive side. It's not like Stomping Slabs, which can only trigger in an insane convergence of Praetor's Grasping one out another deck, and making sure that the nurse in the Psych ward doesn't come around to do back up your strait jackets since you've both clearly lost all your marbles from smoking crack all day with some Stomping Slabs ground into the mix as a cutter.

I am kind of amazed at [...] the fact that somebody on this thread called Mind's Eye, Mirari's Wake, Decree of Pain, Desertion, AND Scroll Rack, all before they were officially spoiled. I will edit this post VERY shortly with the username of this user who deserves at least all of the cookies. Probably more cookies than that.
Stomping Slabs can be used to put stuff from the top of your library to the bottom. So if you use an effect like SDT and hate what you see it helps you. It's not completely useless.
So far, Battle of Wits and Hint of Insanity are the only cards posted here that do nothing.
I mean you start of stating "I dont mean cards like Squire" but then you name Squadron Hawk?
What he means, is that Squire is bad on it's own. Squadron Hawk is okay, but terrible in Commander because you can't find three more of them.

Well now, we're getting off track. Yes, Squire is bad in almost all formats. And yes, Squadron Hawk is just overcosted crap in Commander, but we must remember the name of the thread.

Mirror-Mad Phantasm comes to mind, since it's ability searches out another one and you can easily deck yourself using said ability.
I'm going to have to strongly disagree with this. He's one of my win cons in mimeoplasm. Also decking yourself with an eldrazi in your deck=respond to his ability on the stack, do whacky stuff, then Reshuffle it all back in.

The EDH stax primer When you absolutely, positively got to kill every permanent in the room, accept no substitutes.
I know these each hit one thing (in EDH) but aren't good after that: Surgical Extraction and Memoricide. Both great standard cards, but very, very meh in edh.

Basically, if no-one pointed it out yet, most cards with the wording; "same name" as x, it will pretty much be worthless, due to the whole singleton rules.
Of course, stuff like candles of leng, tainted pact, or basically anything that you gain from the whole singleton format would be actually quite good.

Gotta disagree here for Cranial Extraction and Memoricide. Deleting a card from a library can be very potent if it's a non-General combo piece, a nasty bomb that you know they're going to tutor for ASAP (just Mirage tutored for too early, letting you know what's there), a pesky SDT that's sitting all vulnerable on top, or even a last ditch to untuck your general.
Surgical is much worse, but like Extirpate, it basically reads, "Remove target card that's been dumped in a graveyard by some effect like Buried Alive for later abuse, and look at its owner's hand and library." Not a premium effect, but still potentially useful. More useful than Stomping Slabs' seven card fateseal flush at sorcery speed.
I play with Bazaar of Wonders in one of my decks. People always make fun of it until they realize a lot of EDH staples can get locked out with the card. Also, it exiles every GY; at 5 mana thats worse than a lot of other options; but not too bad.
By functionally useless you mean an instant win card?
Don't forget Praetor's Grasp, Spelljack and Grinning Totem. You could also possibly abuse Shaman's Trance somehow.

You also require 5 basic lands out. When you get to being able to pay for GGWWWUU reliably, you tend to start having a lot of non-basics in your deck.
Assembly Hall
Dichotomancy
Hint of Insanity
Locket of Yesterdays
Pack Hunt
Rememberence
There's gotta be a few more spells out there like these.
Dichotomancy can work well with Zedruu and whatnot.
Pack Hunt works if you target someone else's Prime Time.
The rest that you list are pretty useless, though. Battle of Wits is a sad example, as it would be so much fun to build around it.
The creatures that search for copies of themselves are pretty useless, such as Squadron Hawk, etc.
Commanders:
Basandra, Battle Seraph | Diaochan, Artful Beauty | Mayael the Anima | Nath of the Gilt Leaf | Oona, Queen of the Fae | Raksha Golden Cub | Rayne, Academy Chancellor | Roon of the Hidden Realm

Functionally useless.
Both of these cards do in fact provide a body.

Youve never seen a game where multiple people have Cultivate, or Brainstorm, or Counterspell in their graveyard?

Doubling Chant
Extirpate
