When looking through my cards for ideas for edh filler, I stumbled across a few cards that are completely useless. I'm not talking about bad cards like Squire. Even bad cards can be useful when used right. But some cards were designed to have multiple copies of themselves or copies of other cards in your deck. Aside from Relentless Rats, there is no exception for these cards. I'm talking about:
Sure, most these cards can still be used, but their function is greatly diminished by the format. I'm not looking to make any exceptions to the rules for these cards, I was just wondering what other cards are out there that became unplayable, or at least have a diminished effect on the game in this format.

Meh, If anyone plays an all relentless rats deck vs. me I won't complain. It already allows for the breaking of the only 4 rule, I don't see why it can't break the highlander 1 of rule.
Relentless Rats is the exception to the rule since you're allowed to play as many copies as you want. Rats aren't on my list since you can still play them to their fullest ability. But the other cards listed here basically just take up a card slot, some with no function at all in edh. Haakon can't be cast from the command zone, so he's greatly inferior to other mono black generals. We are looking at cards that are legal, but have no function in edh.

Side note: oh my goodness, they finally included a Gatherer ruling for Rats in EDH. The debate can be easily put to rest now! (Yes, I know it was actually put to rest some months ago, but it's nice to have that easily referable.)
This is not true. With Sundial of the Infinite, Platinum Angel, Torpor Orb, Nether Void, and all the tutors... you can get around her Insta-death reliably. Unlike Haakon who can't even be cast from the General Zone.

Actually Mishra has uses too. He makes Nether Void one sided for your artifacts and lets you look a three new cards every turn with Sensei's Divining Top.

I saw a guy run out Thada Adel, steal artifacts from us and then dig for his own artifacts too. It was a brilliant use of Mishra.

Copy Mirror-Mad and use the clone's ability.

also, you can Cytoshape a card of theirs into mr.phantasm then using Persuasion to take it and force them to mill themselves.

EDIT: I know you were supposed to dig something out with Thada, play it (and have BF counter it), and dig out your own copy for free.
