So, far I think I have the whole land destruction strategy down, but I keep discovering more and more broken cards from older set mostly. I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone is able to show me more "fun" wrecker 101 cards
I totally forgot about those, but I mostly didn't want to use Land Equilibrium because Sun Titan couldn't recur it, but I do have both of those cards. I might try those out cards out.
I can't depend on Sun Titan that much. Land Equilibrium is a good way to slow down land ramp.dec without any further investment.
If you can keep it from dying Rumbling Crescendo can be an amazing way to keep people with low land count down. However it is also unrecurrable by the titan.
I have terrible memory; we have conversations and you tell about these awesome/"fun" cards and I never remember them. I need to write them down on my Notepad App on my smart phone next time.
Now to discuss the cards you've mention:
@Ruination: It would do more damage to Thraxiumdar's land base than anyone else! I have 28 non-basic lands.
@Impending Disaster: I never gave a chance, so I might have to give it a show on one of these Saturday night's.
@Wake of Destruction: I have to be convinced of this card's relevance.
I'm kinda in love with Devastation right now, not because it's amazing or anything- but because the art is awesome and it's kinda unknown. And it leaves my mana rocks alone.
Kaalia's Army of AnnhilationRWB
Obzedat, Ghost Council - Life Gain MattersWB
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord - Fatty Reanimator ToolboxBG
Nekusar, the Mindrazer - Draw to DieRBU
Marath, Will of the Wild - Token Pump and TapGWR
Roon of the Hidden Realm - Blink to BleedWBG
Wake of Destruction, Ruination, and Shimmer have both already been mentioned, which were the three I was going to suggest. I don't know what your playgroup is like, but if there are a few mono-color decks running around, Wake and Shimmer can be downright brutal plays.
I think Deathcloud is the champ of unfun. It's really nice to do a big one of these when you have (artifacts/enchantments/planeswalkers) that put you way ahead of everyone else.
No hands. No lands. And if you're drawing off (Jace/Necropotence/Sylvan Library/Future Sight) and have some signets out. You can quickly take over. Do whatever.
If you're running a ton of artifact ramp, you could run color fixing artifacts with easily recurrable creatures to enable Contamination. If you have the collection or the cash for it Nether Void is amazing at sucking the fun out of games.
Well, bfellow, I love Death Cloud to death. It's one of my favorite cards from Mirrodin block, but lately I've been struggling to hit BBB and in most cases, the only way for me to hit BBB was Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth because mana rocks tend to be destroyed rather often.
- I will attempt to make space for it later, but in regards to Restore Balance; it's good on paper, but in my playgroup, it wouldn't effect the board that terribly.
Cards that are good for most people on this forum; it isn't very effective for my playgroup due to my aggressively "competitive" play-style.
@splashing black: I do have Nether Void, but I was only listing Land Destruction spells, not all the stack cards like Nether Void itself and Trinisphere. Just take a look at my Sharuum the Hegemon Stax list.
Braids, Cabal Minion: How I see Braids, Cabal Minion is she's an additon when your deck it's almost complete with all the expensive Stax cards like Nether Void, Abyss and Armageddon effects.
Abyss: I want an Abyss, but the real issue is not having one in my area, not funding which is the issue in most cases.
Ravages of War: Same as Abyss. I can't justify the price of Portal 3k Armageddon at $100+.
Braids... Ive gotta tell you, has become my pet creature. I am more exited to see her than most other creatures I run at any given time. She is stax in creature form, except you cant add counters.
The real reason for world queller is as a alternative to braids. I run worldly tutor, and as such I would like to utilize the stax effect in my creatures aswell. Cant tutor for a braid if its in the GY or vise-versa.
you said funds arent an issue for The Abyss, get it online . before you respond to this post, order one on ebay. Problem solved. And I also Suggest the if funds still are not an issue, get yourself a RoW. Theres a price you have to pay to be able to run 2 armageddons in EDH unfortunately , its worth it IMHO.
I will list all the land destruction cards that I'm currently using than following with a list of cards I'm considering for each specific deck.
- Sharuum the Hegemon Stax
Mana Vortex
Desolation
Armageddon
Catastrophe
Desolation Angle
Cleansing (In Testing. If it doesn't work, I will replace it with Cataclysm)
Sundering Titan
Smokestack
- Thraximundar Control
Mana Vortex
Desolation
Sundering Titan
Jokulhaups
Devastation
Smokestack

- I use Devastation because it works with my strategy; I live off my mana rocks.
Obliterate was so last year, I will have to make space for it since chances are 99% of the time, it guaranteed to resolved.

There is also Thoughts of Ruin, not sure on this one though.

Stuff like Smokestack, Winter Orb, Stasis and Tanglewire are considered unfun.
Oh yeah, who could forget Braids, Cabal Minion.

Totally agree. Land Destruction is the main reason why Green ramp.dec doesn't dominate most metas' in my area.
