Salvaging Station...Who else thinks this card is amazing?

- What cards do you use with this card to take advantage of the card advantage Salvaging Station creates?

- Are there any cards that I am missing to make to this card broken in my Sharuum Stax list?

- This card is already nuts combined with Smokestack or Braids, Cabal Minion for a soft lock out combo.

As of today, my current Sharuum the Hegemon Stax list runs these following cards to support Salvaging Station:

- Necrogen Spellbomb
- Nihil Spellbomb
- Scrabbling Claws
- Sense's Diving Top
- Sol Ring
- Tormod's Crypt

Salvaging Station is amazing. I've always loved the card in dedicated artifact strategies. You've already named most of the best uses for it. Others would include Mana Crypt, Relic of Progenitus, Meekstone, and Aether Spellbomb.

- I need to get a Mana Crypt first and it's pretty tough to recur Relic after it's been removed from the game. Hah, ha, ha.

- For the Aether Spellbomb; it's awesome if I didn't have enough ways to deal with creatures, but I might consider if once I have issues.

- My goal of my deck is to lock you out of the game or put your life at 10 most games. It's fun killing people with Trinket Mage or Dark Confidant.

Oh that's so true. No idea how I forgot that Relic exiles itself.

Stalling-stax is very fun. Just grinding everybody down until they feel like their heads are going to explode :p.

I'm always back-on-forth on whether I should make Slobad artifact-red. I don't know what the wincon would be, but I have to imagine I would use SS to great avail.

It can easily go infinite, Sac Outlet + Memknite/Ornithoper + Salvaging Station, infinite whatever you're saccing to.

Lotus Bloom = Black Lotus with the Salvaging Station.

Station specifies noncreature, so that one's a nonbo.

Wayfarer's Bauble and Expedition Map are both pretty solid options.

Spawning Pit/Dross Scorpion/random sac outlet/untapper

Infinite colorless mana. Lot of pieces but you're running Sharuum anyway so whatever isn't a combo piece is probably a tutor for one.

Chimeric Mass for some nice combos.

I second Expedition Map Also Urza's Bauble Mishra's Bauble and Chromatic Sphere Chromatic Star and Barbed Sextant turn every wrath into Decree of Pain for you. Wayfarer's Bauble is cool too.

First off, let me just say that I love this card. It's in that awesome category of cards that are insanely broken when setup properly, and people are always picking it up and saying "what does this do again??" before it wrecks them. It's like Reaper from the Abyss in my Standard deck.

I'll second the use of Lotus Bloom. I used to run that combo in my Oona deck and I routinely got upwards of 50 mana out of it each game. It's really sick.

My budget Sharuum deck also gets a lot of mileage out of it. In addition to artifact lands (which rarely get blown up), I have Dispeller's Capsule, Executioner's Capsule, Nihil Spellbomb, Aether Spellbomb, Expedition Map, and Everflowing Chalice (although the last one is not so great to bring back). Still, any deck with a Trinket Mage can also fit a Station in very easily, and the Station happens to be a good target for Treasure Mage.

This works best in a deck built around it rather than a list that just so happens to be running a lot of 1 cc artifacts. I used to run it in Sharuum until I realized there where a lot better things I could be doing for 6 mana. Like casting Open The Vaults and comboing off. There are also much simpler ways to generate infinite mana.

Why has nobody mentioned Executioner's Capsule?

With enough mana, it's like a Plague Wind that you can protect really easily.

I think I mentioned that I run it in my Sharuum deck, but it's still worth mentioning again. All of the Capsules and Spellbombs are really good with a Station.

Voyager Staff hasn't been mentioned and with Sharuum, 10-Sphinx, Sun Titan is can be pretty good. It also saves your guys from spot-removal on its own, so maybe?

Here's the issue. I'm not trying to combo, I'm just to have another resource outlet for my Crypt effects so my opponents don't recover after the multiple Armageddon and Wrath effects.

I run the full cycle in Arcum Dagsson, and I utilize one particular card to go infinite. Flayer Husk. I just love people's faces.

Then use it. That's the point I was trying to make with my previous post-if you've a build that could utilize it, do so.

I think Academy Ruinsis more versatile if that's all you're trying to achieve, but to each their own.

Academy Ruins is more versatile but every time I play it, someone else suicides them then Tormod's Crypts me. Our games aren't as easy as they sound, so calm down.
