Arkham, the 1920's. Investigators battle horrors from beyond time and space, risking life and sanity while conspiracies of cultists and malign servitors seek gateways for their outer gods to return...

So after some brief research in which I'm fairly certain I'm missing cards. To update this to a comprehensive guide for tutors I would need to add
34 Blue Tutors
86 Green Tutors
9 Red Tutors (includes goblin tutors)
27 White
15 Colorless
30 Multi (most being land cycling & transmute)
for a grand total of 237 tutor cards (including the 36 black tutors)
I think I'm going to try and do the guide but green ramp may end up getting lumped except the premiere ramp/tutors (alot of bad ramp in those 86 green cards).
This may take several days or longer to put together, most likely I will copy the original post and edit it into a new post.
Is this a best of Black tutors thread, or a list every card that can function as a tutor thread?
Unless you're playing certain decks (Skittles comes to mind), I don't think playing so many tutors is feasible or even fun for that matter. It would be interesting to see explanations on how certain tutors are better than others in certain decks.
For instance, Dimir House Guard can conveniently act as a 0 mana sacrifice outlet and Shred Memory can be cheap grave hate.
This a guide to all black tutors, not specifically to be used in any one deck but just for us as players to use in future decks. I agree, too many tutor affects is not always good thing but some tutors such as Doomsday are often overlooked and have really unique and 'fun to build around' affects. I see the question regarding tutors and ramp spells commonly pop up on the forums and wanted to provide a place to search for them (only black currently).
Also the ultimate goal as stated previously is to turn this into a Comprehensive Guide to ALL tutors in every color.
I don't see the point in saying whether they're spashable or not. Any magic player can glance at the mana cost and see if they're splashable or not. Other than that it's pretty good.
If anyone is interested in putting explanations together for the comprehensive guide to all tutors, please let me know. Even if its just the red or colorless tutors!
I think Insidious Dreams needs a note to it that it can also be used as an answer to various effects that mess with your hand like Mind Twist, Identity Crisis, the black Myojin or even Mindslaver. Not the greatest, but it's not all poor.
Given up magic because a)its a waste of money b)it sucks the joy out of life c)im doing more interesting things than tapping pieces of plastic that have no intrinsic value.
I encourage you to do the same. Instead of FNM try Friday Night Something Spontaneous. Instead of thousands of hours and dollars on plastic imagine it with a significant other or friends sharing something meaningful. I randomly typed a new password, so bon voyage itches i encourage you to follow suit! Cheers

I am going to bookmark this and try to restart it. This seems like something people are interested in and I love mono black. i will obviously give credit at the top of the new thread. I might have missed it, but I haven't seen Increasing Ambition mentioned yet. That card is fantastic.
