Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed. He is more or less unblockable, has a utility ability and is a six turn clock if you strap some sort of shroud on him. Pretty good.
In an eight player game, is anything good? Don't you just sit there countering combos until someone genesis waves for 42 after all the blue players tap out fighting over a bribery?
Skittles. There shouldn't even be a discussion about this. He is by far the fastest clock, and in a color that has lots of tutors to get him back in case he gets tucked.
I believe that I have enough social competence to slip into a party or two, potentially wooing some attractive females that would not mind spending the evening performing the booty dance on me.

Except that he's so easy to disrupt and high-cost, in a format that's packed with disruption. Clique counters him once or twice and it's game over. Xiahou can actually have a shot at playing MBC effectively plus having an unblockable clock. IMHO no mono-B general is great in 1v1 but Xiahou is the only half-decent one.

Agreed. If you get the turn one play, then yes, I would totally agree. But often times he doesn't hit the table until turn three - in which case I Hinder/Spell Crumple him. Or even take the first turn and the Damnation/Wrath the next. He's so easily disrupted. You play him fast, or you lose. In which case Chainer or even Balthor are better. I've seen some sick Balthor the Defiled decks.

this thread is not about if it is better than a general of another color, its the best in its respective color, he is the fastest clock with the most disruption/control in the color, Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed can run pretty much the same deck just swap generals out, it will lose. to Skittles, its slower, he cost 1 mana less (so i dont understand how he stands a better chance because of skittles "high cost") and he is a 7 turn clock with no protection. just evasion.

If you're playing against a pig, yes Skits is better. But the moment your opponent can think, he'll realize that all he needs to do is counter/kill/steal/pacify Skits just once to gain the edge. With Skits, you build your deck to pump him out as fast as you can - you put all your eggs in one basket.

I play against jhoira as my regular play test, it's a permission deck, runs an obscene amount of counter and bounce with the red basically just being a splash to blow up the world, he even runs tunnel vision, and is arguably a better player than I and the deck still wins, it doesn't only win if it's faster. I still fail to see how his 1 extra cost to win 4 turns faster at the slowest makes him that much worse than xiau
Also who is casting him without looking at their opponents hand to make sure he doesn't get countered?
Edit: the deck isn't perfect or the best deck or anything but I think he is the better choice for mono black xiaou is in the same bracket I think it's just a personal play choice
You don't build the same deck, obviously. Xiahou Dun is better at playing the long game. He is a clock as a backup wincon, but he's a utility general first and foremost.
In Skittles, if you can keep killing or countering the general, you win. Period. In Xiahou, the general is not critical to the deck, he is just useful when he happens to resolve alongside your other strong cards.

Clique wins hands down, it's not even close.

Totally. Blind Seer is obv the best general ever. I mean, he's a Planeswalker! That's gotta be broken as a general.
Clique wins, no contest. If Clique is banned, Daggson.
