Thraximundar by far. While he is expensive, he immediately becomes a threat. A 6/6 haster with a terrifying triggered ability can ruin your opponent's day. Nicol Bolas is great, but he's too slow. I think that Sedris, the Traitor King comes in a close second. A reanimator-style deck around him can be very powerful.
Thraximundar has a fairly straightforward strategy, and so he's pretty much the winner.
Gwendlyn's disruption isn't attached to a beatstick/finisher, Crosis and Nicol Bolas are as slow as Thraximundar without affecting board position, and the Lord of Tresserhorn and Sedris requires a way-too-specialized deck list.
Although I personally would say that Gwendlyn and the Lord of Tresserhorn come close. The Lord is fast as all hell, and Gwendlyn's disruption can (randomly) be game breaking.
Sharuum is pretty good though.
