I'm still new to EDH and most of the decks I've made for it were bad. Any help would be great. I am trying to win by using angels and beating them down. I'm still unsure on who I should have as the general. The choices I have are Jenara, Asura of warReya Dawnbringer and Akroma, angel of wrath. I've stayed away from Jenara because I don't want her to be the focus of the deck, and I'm not sure what Green and blue there is to add.
I realize I might be a little light on control of any sort. And I might have a little to much artifact acceleration. Also I think I have to many lands. Please pick this deck apart and help make it better.
In my experience, wrath is very good in multiplayer games, even though you have a lot of creatures. I'd recommend cutting some creatures for more wrath effects, especially things like hallowed burial or oblivion stone that give some benefit.
You are also in white, the color of much excellent general removal that I can recommend, such as condemn, arrest, and faith's fetters, which can clear away opposing generals and make way for angels beats.
I'd never take Darksteel Ingot out of any of my 5 edh decks, and 2 of them are mono-colored. One of them also has Coalition Relic, but it gets more benefit from accel than most. Lotus and Dynamo are both amazing though, and Worn Powerstone is also a good deal.
You say that the EDH decks you've built so far aren't very good, and from looking at your current list I'd say it's because you've fallen into a trap. You want to put together an Angel Beatdown deck, but the selection of cards you're using is just about every Angel off of Gatherer and some ways to cheat them into play. Quite simply, Angelic Curator and Sustainer of the Realm are never going to be a credible threat to someone starting at 40 life. To accumulate a reasonable threat with most of the creatures you're playing you will end up losing a LOT as soon as someone decides to play a Starstorm or Martial Coup. Better for each creature to be a threat on it's own. As an example, here's my Akroma list, which is actually somewhat tribal-focused. If you're wanting to keep an all-angelic flavor, feel free to make use of some of the better angels I'm not using (like Karmic Guide or Reya Dawnbringer), or just use good white/artifact cards. Akroma is quite the beating by herself. (This deck has been played a bit and earned a few remarks on it's effectiveness.)
I'm a little skeptical on hallowed burrial as I would have no way of getting the creatures back. I did add it though.
Thanks for the ideas, they were very useful. I was going to add Wayward angel but couldn't get over sacrificing creatures.
I think your right. Most of the decks are geared towards creatures and probably to focused on beatdown. I looked through your deck and it did help a bit. I see very little, if any, land destruction in my groups. And I must admit that most of the cards I got off of gatherer.
Enlightened Tutor could help you out since you can grab mana accleration, non-land permenant removal, card drawing, and card searching effects. I've slowly found out that every one of my EDH decks with W in it can benefit from this inexpensive tutor. Spectral Searchlight is sub par with the mana burn rules gone now. Although it is very diplomatic in group games (not good for duals though). Mind Stone is decent since it can replace itself later on (not a stellar card, but should be easy to find if you can't get Worn Powerstone). Or even Sisay's Ring or Ur Golem's Eye isn't bad for a 1 color deck. Arrest should be Prison Term because it does the same thing and can be moved onto such generals as Uril if you have it in play before he's casted.
