So, I have an EDH deck with Karn, Silver Golem as my general; not anything too new or noteworthy. However, I am in the process of altering the art for each of the cards to reflect a character or item from the Star Wars films (mostly using evil people). For example, I took Icy Manipulator and painted Boba Fett on instead:
If you think this is at all interesting, I would appreciate it if you might consider:
1) taking a look at the card choices for the deck and suggest cards that would make it better, and
2) taking a look at the card-to-character list and let me know if you think you can come up with any better Star Wars characters for the given cards (especially if I can't come up with an idea in the first place)
I think it is really neat. It will take a very long time to alter all the cards though. Obv your lands will reflect the landscapes of various planets. Snow-Covered = Hoth and such.
If you haven't already altered your Metalworker, maybe you can change it out for something else and put the art on the Myr Retriever.
What is karn going to be? He looks similar to Bossk. Maybe you can find an equipment that can be Hound's Tooth for him.
Here's a couple new ones, one for that same Star Wars Artifact EDH deck:
A little irritating. But only a little. What is really irritating is how you chose to put Boba Fett on an Icy Manipulator. What's he have to do with the flavor of that card? And why is there that Qui Gon flavor text? That pertains to the card even less.
Soooooo.... you saw Bristol's alters for me and just completely high-jacked the idea? Cool.

I did see the AT-AT and loved the idea. I had no idea that that was C3P0, and I have no idea what that Rocket Launcher has to do with Star Wars, but I digress...
Secondly, I put Boba on Icy Manipulator because in my playgroup, it has somehow become customary to make a blaster-pistol shooting noise when you tap something in that manner. Thirdly, the flavor text is supposed to ominously imply that no matter who you are (Darksteel Colossus, Akroma, etc), there is always someone else who can take care of you.
Thanks for your input, but next time, if you don't have anything (anything?!) nice or helpful, please don't bother.
And lastly, Karn, seeing as he is the general of the deck, will of course, be Grevious.

C'mon man. I'm supposed to believe you didn't recognize that as a protocol droid? And if you really didn't recognize that as C-3PO, then how big of a Star Wars fan could you possibly be - which would beg the question, why waste your time with this feat?
Even better, it's VERY coincidental that you have your own Voltaic Construct listed as a C-3PO alter, unless you just made the edit today. Same with your Mind's Eye.... At least give credit where it's due, man!
@ the Rocket Launcher comment - It's moronic to make all 100 cards Star Wars themed. Having every card altered would take thousands of dollars, so not every single alter is going to be a Star Wars one.
@ my inquiring about the Icy Manipulator - Ah, I understand now... Cool......
I'm kind of lost as to why some of the cards have "???" next to them. I guess it's because you couldn't think of any good ideas, but then it seems that not a lot of thought has gone into the other ones, so why beat yourself over these? Why would Disk be Darth Maul? Why would Meek Stone be Watto? Because he's small? Forge = Dooku?:confused::confused:
"Star Cruser"? Yeah, those are actually called Star Destroyers.
And why does the Trash Monster have a bushy, black beard?
Crawlspace =/= NUTE Gunray. C'mon! That one's easy... it should be altered to have the Melinium Falcon flying through the tunnels of the Death Star.
That card was made to be altered that way.
Power Keg >>> Tusken Raiders? Again, not seeing the correlation. That's gotta be a Thermal Detonator.
EDIT: The Qui Gon flavor text would make so much more sense on Darksteel Colossus himself. "There's always a bigger fish" just doesn't fit on an artifact that taps down one thing at a time. That's just my opinion.
And tell me. What the hell is the Moon-Eating Monster? I think I know, but I'd love to hear it.

1) Haha, that C3P0 is like the Rambo of protocol droids then Also, if having 3 cards altered makes you the originator of the idea of putting movies onto cards, then congrats by all means.
2) I definitely will give credit to Bristol who is amazing with his custom alters; everybody should check out his work, it's amazing.
3) For each card's theme, I weighed in the card's importance when assigning a character. The deck only has a few creatures, most of which are not all that intimidating, so therefore, someone like Dooku needs to go on a different non-creature card. For Darth Maul, again, no good creature card for him, so I wanted to put him on a card that brings death and destruction....not that hard to figure out
4) About not altering all 100 cards; I'm not altering the lands, but I'm altering the other cards in my spare time (painting is a relaxing activity that gets me away from the stresses of having a job, owning a home, being a coach, etc) so it will definitely not cost me thousands of dollars.
So, if anyone else out there can help me to fill in the ???s or to juggle around the character list to make more sense, I would love to hear it!

This seems to be contradictory to your reasoning for playing Metalworker. If the theme is secondary to playability, find another card. If the theme is primary for the deck, then you should change some of the correlations to be more fitting. I am of the opinion that you should do both. Remove the Metalworker so that the deck can be legally played, and find more suitable art choices. I'm sure you can find more artifact creatures that are good.
It may be an idea to consider playing a color. You can still play your mostly artifact deck, but maybe play a red legend. Use lightning bolt or chain lightning as force lightning. You could use kiki-jiki, he looks kinda like that pet that Jabba had. You could use Bosh, Iron Golem as Vader also. Goblin Welder could make a good Jawa.
Gotcha. But find your best land, or the one most appropriate, and alter it to have the epic two-sun horizon. You just gotta!
I definitely will; that's a good idea.
Also, I need help with the correlations guys! I am taking out Metalworker so that it is legal/playable, but I'm not changing it to be a Kiki-Jiki deck!!! So if you can help with saying okay this card needs to be Darth Maul, etc, etc, that would be very helpful. But keep in mind that I don't really want "good" cards (like Nev's Disk) to be lesser things (like Thermal Detonators).
Oblivion Stone works as the Death Star in the same way I think.... And I don't really care too much about what the original art looks like since I'm completely replacing it anyways........I want it to match the name and/or the function of the card moreso than the original art.
