Well in our playgroup after the M10 prerelease I helped a girl acquire a Baneslayer Angel for her Jenara, Asura of War Angel-themed (she has most Angels in there) EDH deck. She was happy, I was touted as a nice guy, etc. However, I figured the card wouldn't really get a chance to shine without a yang to its yin, so I built this deck in response, looking for any cards that might be thematically appropriate or such. The oppositeness of this deck pleases me, seeing as she plays UWG and I play the other two colors her angels don't.
the reason I personally opted against Rakdos the Defiler when deciding on "Demons" to build a deck around... was because even if you have Conspiracy (which I don't see in this list) in play naming Demons, and all your creatures in play are effectively Demons. You still have the problem that when Rakdos the Defiler swings you are going to lose exactly half (rounded up) of all your lands, enchantments, artifacts, etc... so the question becomes, is he really worth running?
FYI, you can build a Demon and Dragon Theme deck based around Malfegor and only risk losing up to however many cards are in your hand at the time you play the only card that is both a Demon and a Dragon at the same time (not counting Changelings and Mistforms).

That depends on whether your motive is to always win effectively or to have a blast while doing so. The opponent you hit is also going to lose half their stuff. I'm not being belligerent, you have a fair point, I could run Malfegor over him and run much of the same deck. But I like that Rakdos encourages you to run demons. Plus, sometimes, there's chaff in the lands, artifacts, etc. department that you can afford to ditch, and this deck tries to get back what you have to give up. Demons don't give their help for cheap after all, right? =D
I think you could benefit from some changelings to make your deck a little better. I'm thinking of Taurean Mauler and Cairn Wanderer.
I think I would also consider running more shroud equipment, the only other two being Whispersilk Cloak and General's Kabuto. As soon as people see Rakdos, they're going to save a PtE or a StP for him, and after that nasty attack trigger resolves, they'll ax him.
Otherwise, props on the deck, there are a lot of subtle combos and interactions that I didn't notice until the second look through. Well done.

General's Kabuto is a thought... This deck is a blast to play the sterotypical 'wheeling dealing demon' as. "I might be able to tutor up a card to help you.... IF you will agree to pact with me as not attacking me for... five turns... MUAHAHAHA."

You get style points for running Rakdos. You get zero style points for running Malfegor. *shudders* What a cheesy, bad general he would be. You could also have the option of not always summoning your general until you're ahead in board position. Many decks in my EDH circle do that anyway.

There you have it, a demonic horde to face against an angelic army.
