Affectionatly called RiceBall around here. Have loved playing this deck so far. I know that there are some changes that will be needed, and I have some singles on the way that I haven't decided exactly how I will incorporate them... but here's the current list...
A few different combos, but the infinite mana combo requires an untapper (Umbral Mantle, Staff of Domination, Sword of the Paruns) and one of the elves that taps elves for mana (Heritage Druid, Birchlore Rangers). Another fun one is Gilt-Leaf Archdruid with Mirror Entity. Steal someone's lands? Ok!
I know the deck does need some tweaking and refining... decks are always a work in progress afterall... Gaea's Cradle, Savannah, Fetchland, and Enlightened Tutor are all cards that are on my wishlist, but don't have the extra cash at this time to buy them and would have to go outside my local group to trade for them.
Here's some of the cards I have on the way... they may make it into the deck, they may not. We'll see when I get them here and can sit down and goldfish and test some of them out...
Appreciate comments, suggestions, other potential combos to throw in...
So far the deck has been fun and in my meta it tends to be about racing to the combo with the other Elf deck and the janky mill/ping deck that runs grinding/blasting station. With most of the other decks around, I can stave them off until I get going by chumping with tokens, or just taking it until I get set up and can then overwhelm them. I do have a problem with flyers though... :/ And the Teneb deck can wreck me hard...
I think you would get a lot of mileage out of Earthcraft. It's another engine for making a lot of tokens with Sacred Mesa especially with a Fertile Ground tacked on. Also, Orochi Hatchery is a great token producer and doubling them each turn with Rhys is something good. You could also look at some of the other Saproling token makers like Verdant Force, Thelonite Hermit or Verdeloth the Ancient. And don't forget Gaea's Anthem to go with the Glorious one. And if you are looking for other lands, Krosan Verge would fit here nicely. Nothing says boo flyers like a nice Hurricane or Windstorm (M10).
Thanks Prismetrix. I forgot about Earthcraft, that has also been on my list of things to get. And Hurricane and Windstorm sound like some good ideas...
Also have Wirewood Lodge on the list that I need to get as well...
Nacatl War-Pride is interesting, but in most games there's other 5 and 6 cmc cards I'd rather top deck.
Regarding Jitte... any deck can use Jitte... but I don't think it's a "need" card in my deck, which has fleshed out more as a combo deck than an aggro deck... the only reason I'm running Sword of Light and Shadow is the protection that it affords to Rhys against removal.
Really? Whys that? Because I've beaten you with it twice?:D

I personally think that Garruk and Ajani should each be in this deck. They tend to play nice with tokens. And after M10 hits the stores this weekend, you should try to start tracking down a Captain of the Watch (remember, in EDH cards are legal as of their prerelease date).

Garruk, Ajani, and Elspeth are all on my list. I figured I could pick up Garruk in the new precon, and then hopefully someone will get an Ajani here with M10 that I can trade for. I'll have to consider Captain of the Watch, but not sold on it.
And yeah, Somogyi is upset that my Elves have beaten his Elves more than a few times... particularly one time when he went infinite and then I went infinite on my next turn and was able to draw out a Dauntless Escort and Martial Coup (Thank god for Skullclamp!) and he scooped...
I got a similar deck in my sig. Focuses more on combo and quantity of tokens. Nice to see someone else using the Gilt-Leaf Archdruid + Mirror Entity combo, it's one of my favorites.

Yeah, your thread gave me the idea.
I've only gotten that off twice, since I consider it as a secondary combo. If I get one piece, then I'll go look for the 2nd piece if I get a Worldly Tutor or Elvish Harbringer. One time happened to be against Somogyi... Actually, I think that was the time we both went infinite, because I remember him trying to figure out how to do it with just one land on the table...
The combo I'm looking for more often is Rhys + (Umbral Mantle, Sword of the Paruns, Staff of Domination) + [Heritage Druid, Birchlore Ranger). Get enough elf tokens to get it going and I'm just able to untap and retap and go infinite. Umbral Mantle + Armadillo Cloak/Sledge also means I can pump and trample through to kill someone off after I've made a ton of tokens.
Unfortunately, Coat of Arms ends up helping out my opponents too much (especially the other Elfball and Sliver deck). Also, I'm going to cut out my global pumpers. I'm more of a combo deck than a swarm 'em deck. And the pumpers renders Skullclamp inopperable and the clamp has won me games because I was able to make as many tokens as I needed and draw through my deck to find an answer to take care of my opponents so they wouldn't have an oppurtunity to Wrath me or otherwise reset the game... or one instance where an Elfball deck had gone off and I went off the next turn, but because I had Skullclamp, I was able to draw through and find Dauntless Escort and Martial Coup and wipe the board while saving mine.
As as side note, Karmic Justice is unimpressive. It only works when the opponent kills a NON-LAND card. I've found Martyr's Cause to be MUCH more useful. It is a sac outlet for me to go infinite, AND it protects against troublesome creatures or generals.

I actually had the same problem so took out my global pumpers as well. Only Mirari's Wake, Kamahl & Mirror Entity are left.

I've liked Karmic Justice a lot, if I can I try to assemble Privileged Position, Sterling Grove & Karmic Justice to make it extremely painful to disrupt my board position. It triggers for each permanent so if they blow an Oblivion Stone and you lose 5 non-creature permanents you Vindicate them 5 times. Plus it protects against mass land destruction.
I decided not to put Karmic Justice in. I couldn't really find a spot for it. I do need to find a spot for Privileged Position though... that looks good. I also found a spot for Greater Auramancy. I kept having a lot of problems with getting disrupted by my opponents killing off Wake, and I've also got Natural Selection in the deck now. Plus, if I get an Army Cloak or Sigil of the Nayan Gods onto Rhys, she gains shroud. Of course, the only problem with that, is I need to attach equipments to Rhys before putting the Auramancy down.
EDIT: Btw, have you thought about Seedborn Muse? Especially in a 6 man game, with your mana elves down, you could go infinite by the time you hit your next turn...
