Ok, so there are a few instants in there, but I think they're worthwhile. This deck doesn't even try to make friends -- just ramp up to 8 mana so you can play Nicol Bolas and hit someone.
I've been running Fire Whip and Pemmin's aura in my bolas deck. I don't see a lot of lists using them. I haven't been able to get both on him at the same time but figure both pose a threat.
If you're not playing many instants, I'd add Price of Glory. That'll TEACH THOSE DARN COUNTERDECKS
the other thing to consider is how many instant speed abilities other than actual instants this deck has that require mana. I was considering taking your advice for my Malfegor deck Funkmu, until a friend reminded me I had 14 effects other than my 1-2 instant spells that I would want to be using at instant speed that require mana. And that is why I am outright refusing to run that spell in my deck.
I count at least 6 spells / abilities that this deck wants to be playing at instant speed all of which require some investment of mana. Now while this is not as huge as my 15 - 16 total spells / abilities, It is still significant.

Actually, that's going in and replacing the Citadel of Pain that got screwed over by M10 rules. The stuff that I usually would have to pay for during other peoples' turns (Radiate, etc.) are just for lulz anyway; they can be replaced.

That card is flipping amazing in EDH, but I don't think I'm going to add it. It's nice, for once, to see someone play a Teferi, everyone else freak out, and then I say, "Oh wait! I don't even care because it's just an overcosted blocker."
